  1. but we have to wait until pressure hits that mark, CR trucks have that pressure on command.
  2. Your wish is my command. That and a blank check helps too hahaha
  3. yea the sawzall is making easy work of the wall... I feel dumb for not thinking of that.
  4. You said to me the other day if you use the default tune it doesnt do it. Is that still true?
  5. the led actually has a brighter hot spot according to the lux meter, not as wide. Still not a "hey lets all jump ship" thing, but people who want led's because leds, it appears there is a good choice.
  6. This is actually a good learning experience. The brain is going crazy with things we can control now lol. I honestly think I could write up some code to control a holset VGT using a simple y cable since it uses the same j1939.
  7. lolol holy crap, welll good. Trans temp is literally just displaying what is coming across the j1939 so it should work if it is displaying something. Lockup should also work now.... I think. So should trans slip.
  8. oo humm. I will review code
  9. Due to the size of the injectors I can't say if it is not normal. It takes a good bit more fuel on a cold motor to get RPMS up. as the motor comes up to temp somewhat then it takes less fuel and rpms come up
  10. never, You might give curtis hacker over at lilbb.com a shout about this. He built the lilbb vgt controller and the android app to go along with it.
  11. No prob. I like to tinker with stuff and I am not bound by running a business lol. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no one with a normal truck run that flash. it will not work.
  12. Pretty sure I got it done. Thankfully there was some code I could cut and paste haha. @Scottfunk Lol 0 promises with this one. ENSURE you have a good V2 saved as a backup. This one MIGHT read the j1939 from the allison. it MIGHT show right gear, it MIGHT show correct trans slip, it MIGHT show lockup correctly. it MIGHT show you trans temp from the ally LOLALLY.exe
  13. Since he is ussing an allison plugged into the datalink using a y splitter cable, the quad SHOULD be able to read it. Quadzilla as a company shouldn't be bothered to do this as a one off but I will look into it for him.
  14. Well it looks like Moritmoto finally released the LED projector setup. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits/universal-kits/bi-led-morimoto-m-led-headlight-projectors-kit.html Design Mini h1 vs MLED You can see the configuration differences between the HID projectors and the LED projectors LED, note the reflector is just the cap on top, not a full bowl HID, note the reflector is a full bowl Look at the placement of the LED's Output Width is still not as wide as the ds2 or mini h1 Mini h1 Interesting as always.
  15. the biggest key to mpg is timing. OEM timing drops like a rock after you top %20-%25 load. If you can keep cruising load below that mpg will be good.
  16. We have an article that shows you how to test to see if high idle is enabled. It's in the high idle article section. The quad cannot enable high idle. Mpg mode works on any vp44 trucks in the winter by fooling the ecm into thinking it is warmer than it actually is. This keep timing from over advancing due to temp. MPG mode will very based on the ambient temp. MPG wont generally gain you anything in the summer, but it will help keep mpg up during winter driving.
  17. as follows? Whats the Identifier from the computer that it is coming from? How about gear?
  18. Please provide the PIDS to me and I can look. without that documentation I can't add it. What I have is only from the ecm.
  19. Issue is the bus data comes across the data stream under the hood not on the screen itself. So even though the duramax profile has those things, the cummins under the hood is not pushing that data across the datastream. So I can't read that info. I can put the stuff in the box under the hood, but if the cummins ecm is not putting out the info you will get nothing.
  20. That was one question I had about udc pro that the people who knew just responded " you don't need it" or "you don't understand how the ecm calculates timing" When I ask for an explination I get silence. I still can't look at the udc tables and see what the output timing would be. Or at least see a timing number that makes sense compared to what I have seen. The trailer tows pretty nice.
  21. I don't think trans temp is pushed across the canbus data stream from the ecm on our trucks. If it is I dont know how ot read it as there is zippo documentation on what the PID is for this variable.
  22. 1750 rpm, it's a 19' on the floor gooseneck at ~5k. Keep in mind there is a missing base timing table in UDC Pro for the vp44 trucks. Jdonoghue showed good info on this table and how it worked. I attached some of the info from his adventure ~10 year ago. Project log.docx The timing numbers we are seeing match up pretty close to the timing range p7100 guys are using and the calculation we are using make "sense" in terms of how you would structure a command on a 12^2 message.
  23. it should, the ecm takes in speed from the abs computer on pin 43.
  24. Humm too bad I would have loved to see data logs for both dyno runs to see where the difference was. My truck seems to like a lot of timing up top. My tunes have gone from timing 2500: 24 3000: 25 max: 26 to 2500: 25 3000: 28 max: 30
  25. Mine spikes to above 17* on lvl0 right above 1000 rpm
