  1. 1000 is mostly oem timing 1500 is mostly quadzilla timing. under 1200 light load timing isn't used, as oem is doing that. OEM timing is VERY high in the 1000-1200. I see 17*-18* in that area on lvl 0
  2. just upload them and I can sort them
  3. Wow thats a significant improvement. Do you have a datalog of the runs?
  4. Yea that lope you fele is the Quad and the ecm fighting for control.
  5. Both plugs int he image are datalink, the black plug has a terminator installed.
  6. Bumping this up to the top again. The sweat shop is open for the winter, I feel like Santa, and High Idle switches are being made in bulk.
  7. yep that's what you would need.
  8. looks like data link connectors from a late and early truck....odd. Are they t'd together?
  9. borrow a smarty and get the flash from them
  10. Calibration not cal. you can just get it flashed to what you want.
  11. If you can reproduce the issue please let me know. It is %100 normal for this shudder in the 950 rpm range, but it should clear by 1000 rpm. If you get a lope like mike in the 1000-1200 range I need to know.
  12. I don't want to talk about it I might give that a try, I didn't even consider that due to the welds and size of the metal..... I feel dumb
  13. He's gonna pull it out and have it dipped, but he needed to be able to pull the trailer home without stopping every 1/4 mile to let it cool off haha.
  14. Pop up camper was great in theory and bad in practice 1. truck was unstable in the mountain passes, where we spend %90 of our time 2. Very hard to get into due to the height, I could get stairs, but it was another thing to load 3. I don't have a good flat space store it so loading the camper was dangerous. 4. not having the bed of the truck for firewood was a big issue. 5. floor space was limited in the camper. 6. once you setup camper you cannot unhook and go into town 7. It didn't handle wind well. big issue in colorado. The MPG is a little less in the mountains with the trailer, but on flat ground it doesn't seem to matter much. We also killed 2 birds iwth 1 stone having a horse trailer. I think I am gonna try and go to a friends house this month to move the wall back 1 stall so we can start getting shelves put in. The Bed camper was a bit more refined, but after camping with the trailer a few times, I don't really miss the amenities
  15. Here's the troubleshooting p0237, likely a bad map sensor or Here's 1689 here's 1698 Looking at the bus codes I think you might have a issue in the ecm itself. I would use dielectric grease on ALL plugs under the hood. Clean all grounds, and verify no shorts on any of the bus wires between the VP44 -> ecm -> pcm Here's the wiring diagrams to find what you need.
  16. Do you have any mods to the truck? Tuner, injectors, turbo etc?
  17. guy I was camping with this weekend had overheating issues on the way up, we took a peak and sure enough the front of the radiator was plugged. We did a quick clean with a brush, some electrical tape, and a 18" 3/8" extension.
  18. interesting note.. While towing on flat ground today at 65 mph I got curious what OEM timing was vs my tow tune timing. It was a very long flat straight stretch of road. Sensor data was Boost: 3 psi TPS %: 22 EGT: 800*f + - 50*f canbus fueling: ~1000 or right around %25 load My tow tune has light load timing until %35 load is reached, so my Quadzilla timing was in the 18.5* range. Good bit of rattle, but nothing to worry about in my mind. My daily tune sits right at ~20 * at 65. So I flipped over to OEM to see what the ECM was wanting at this point and found that timing was at 12-12.5* EGT's didn't change enough to report. Did roughtly 320 miles, burned about 3/4 tank, Somewhere in the 13 mpg range pulled Ute pass in el paso county wilkerson pass in park county hoosier pass in park county ute pass in grand county way better drive than i70 all that to say that I didn't really find anything out, but I was shocked how low timing was while towing on flat ground. A stock injector truck would be in the 11* range in the same situtation.
  19. I cant see why you would need the pcm from a 6 speed truck
  20. 2* I think and 30% load
