Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
Do you need to start that low on canbus? I would assume you would need to start in the 95 range for smoke free down there at sea level. Did you flash the latest I posted yesterday? Cruise timing is better on that one, but you will need to bump your cruise setting to 4*

You would never notice a difference. The stock intercooler is very capible of handling your fueling.

Help with Daniel Stern Rik-Ram kit
Due to the way relays work you only need 1 battery to supply full power.

I would ensure your mpg tune doesn't have wiretap functioning at cruise. It's unneeded fueling that is not really "manageable" to the level to get good mpg. Flash the latest hardfuel flash and update your vehcile for v2 quadzilla only. Try that timing for cruise. Ensure that at 65 mph you are seeing about 20* of timing. I would be very surprised if you couldn't net low mid 20's

Keep in mind that cruise timing is another section of code. If the truck goes into cruise state load timing timing reduc and rpm timing are all ignored and ONLY cruise timing is taken into consideration.

I wouldn't say it is designed to help spool the turbo, more so to give a "weight" to load in the timing function. Timing reduct should be used to help spool the turbo still.

Load Timing.....ugh sucks to explain as there is no good way to do so haha. So keep in mind that your RPM based timing sets your ACTUAL high limit for RPM at a given RPM, AKA if you have 20* set as your 2000 rpm timing limit then at no point at 2k will you ever see more than 20*. What load timing does is section off a * amount of that rpm timing to be related to load. So for this example load timing = 3* RPM =2000 and 2k limit is 20* Load = %25 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %75 of 3* or 2.25* = 17.75 of timing. Load = %50 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %50 of 3* or 1.5* = 18.5 of timing. Load = %75 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %25 of 3* or .75* = 19.25 of timing. Load = %100 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %0 of 3* or 0* = 20 of timing. So for this example load timing = 2* RPM =2000 and 2k limit is 20* Load = %25 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %75 of 2* or *1.5 = 18.5 of timing. Load = %50 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %50 of 2* or 1* = 19 of timing. Load = %75 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %25 of 2* or .5* = 19.5 of timing. Load = %100 Total Timing = 20* ( rpm timing) - %0 of 2* or 0* = 20 of timing. Pretty much I minus an inverted % of load timing based on load from 0-100%

Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
Now to be %100 fair the design scope of crusie timing changed significantly once you learned you could do 75+ mph at 23 + mpg hahahahah Cake and eat it too. Regardless the tune I PM's you should give you cruise timing that works at 55 , 65,75, and 80 mph.

Meh it was mostly to benefit myself, I got tired of having to borrow Tyler's smarty to pass emissions. Then Tyler drove me like a slave driver and Mike did some complaining and here we are now

FYI the cruise timing changes seem to be working beautifully

you'd have to rip it out of my cold dead hands at this point. I don't know that there is a measurement for the blood sweat and tears put into the coding at this point. I don't kepe track of hours of obvious reasons.

Teach me how to drive up hill or get more power
12k # and 235 hp don't mean power to pull hills, all you can do is gear down and let it sit at peak torque. Unless you want to dump money on a trans I would also advise against more power. A good TC and VB go a long way however. really no way to go up faster unless you add some power. Even a small tuner would make a big difference.

2nd Gen Performance Woes
The only way I would EVER recommend a 4k box is if the truck only saw the street from the deck of a trailer on the way to an event. ...even then I would hard pressed to recommend it. Get the normal Quad box with the Iquad. Then load the V2 tuning on it and be happy.

Exhaust
He's smoking rocks... I wouldn't take ANYTHING he said with any value. The basic design of a turbine operates on a difference in pressure on either side of the turbine well. There is no reason at all to try and increase / hold backpressure past the turbo. The more backpressure you have the smaller the pressure difference and the worse the turbo will perform. We don't have backpressure needs like a NA engine. There is plenty of backpressure pre turbo just due to being pushed through a turbine. Now there is absolutely no need to run a 4 or 5 " exhaust on a sub 400. you might see some gain on a 500 hp truck, but honestly I doubt the butt dyno would notice.

I need a few testers to try out a much improved, beta cruise timing function..at least I hope improved. Will need to be guys doing highway traveling between 45 and 80 mph.

Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
Sorry that's not wha tI meant. I meant in order to try and use TPS as the limit for cruise I would take that low tps setting, add %10 to it and use that %30 as a high limit on load for engaging cruise state. I do see your issue though with wiretaplow limit being low. Not really a great solution. It really needs to be a psi limit for cruise timing :banghead:
-
Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
AHHH I HATE MY LIFE @TFaoro What if I convert that low TPS into load, which is really is? So if wire tps low is %20 I add %10 and convert that into a load value? So in this example if TPS low is set to %20, I do load of %30 as the low limit?
-
Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
Alright I need everyones input on this. What if the Quad used the wiretap tps low +%5 -%10 limit as the upper limit for cruise state? In a MPG tune there is absolutely 0 reason to have wiretap going when at cruise. All it will do is decrease MPG. IE so if you wiretap low limit is %20 then cruise state will engage as it does now, up until say %30 tps? Thoughts? issues? I am trying VERY hard to not add another tuning variable.

I would guess you are right about only 1 grid working. makes a pretty big difference

Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
If boost is rising it will, now, kick out of cruise timing and back into normal timing. I want cruise state to only be used when the truck is truly at cruise state, once load comes up it needs to jump out of cruise state and into your normal timing map. I am going to change the way cruise timing is calced though, you setting for timing will be at 80 mph, so if you want 19* at 65 then you should set your cruise timing to ~20.5* so that at 65 timing has fallen a bit.

LOST POWER
Data log a high throttle take off with the quad set ot lvl 0. Does fueling get pulled down by ~%20? if yes you have TM if no you don't. It is plain as day in the data logs when a truck has TM.
