Goodbye Edge Comp, Hello Quadzilla Adrenaline
interesting I would bump the wiretap low limit up by a few psi and see if smoke clears. but for the meantime just enjoy the tuner and see if you can't hit 29 mpg.

So from what I can see you only have noticable smoke on lvl 6? Would you agree? Also seems like smoke is much reduced after things are warmed up, at least that is what I could see in the video when you where on 6 and stabing the throttle on the runs at the end? Thanks for doing the lvl3 so we can see what the smoke is a result of. Would you agree that there is no smoke on lvl3? I want to make sure what I see in the video matches what others see. I think if we were to up the low limit for the wiretap to 12psi, rather than 7, it would get rid of all the smoke. Where do you feel the quad and Edge are equal power wise at? Edge on 5 quad on what? any other thoughts or impressions?

Did you get time to do a video? I am itching to see the difference @Mopar1973Man

Truck stolen
If it was set to lvl 1 on the quad I am guessing they couldn't really drive the truck well enough to do anything with it. They prob killed it a lot trying to get going since they likely didn't know about the manual antistall.

That has been addressed in the new software. We take into consideration way move reads then average.

I very much doubt the alternator is to blame for this.

He did an edge video of driving around. Really not terrible, wouldn't pass emissions here, but I am excited to see the difference.

The quad comes in significantly cheaper than the edge with a screen and the to match the fueling ot 3500 rpm. I think they want $1000 for the comp plus cts plus another $150 for the lvl 7 adjustment...

hx35 rebuild
I hate to recommend you use heat to try and free up the wheel, but maybe a propane torch to heat it up enough to free it? I don't know that I would run the wheel again though after that.

Since this a slower forum I can speak my mind to the edge stuff, it is fine to derail some but lets keep it limited. 1. They are really just trying ot suck some more money out of their customers since they are getting pushed out of the market for the newer stuff due to EFI. 2. fuel from 3200 to 3600 is next to useless for %95 of us, The Quad fuels to 3500 rpm but there is no power up there. - how will this upgrade go? do you need to buy the "hot unlock" then buy this 7th level? seems like a jip 3. There is 0, zippo, nadda need for more fuel down low, it is just wasted smoke. They claim 150 hp over stock, which is better than the 120 they used to claim, but I honestly don't think it is close to the quad in terms of power on a near stock truck. I want to see all this tuning they have in videos. What happens when you lay into the throttle down low? does it just smoke more? I am curious about how they are allowing for timing adjustment.

No the iquad was created to give you tuning on the fly. The flashing process is very old and was not designed for on the fly adjustments. Dunno if you were planning on keeping the edge or not but you can't run them together.

There is a bug in the iquad app that is being worked on to resolve. Once the bug is fixed all the tuning will work from the phone. It does now but it is unreliable when it tries to load your tuning into place so you get some things that don't update.

The quad allows you to build up 10 custom tunes on the phone itself with all of these setting s we are talking about. You can load this new tune on the fly and completely change how the truck drives. You do need a phone to select the tune though. You also have the lvl adjustment on top of that , which is what you do with the comp.

@Mopar1973Man OBDLink Questions
The injection duration message is not on the sci bus. Only the under hood plug, and I am guessing CCD to do the overhead. So no there is no fuel message on the 2nd gens that can be used by am obd device. You might be able to use load but who know how load is calculated in the trucks.

Quad has a number of boxes tunes that will work well but if you want to tune it directly you will need a tablet or phone. You can buy an old used one for ~$20 online or ~$50 from Walmart to do it

Goodbye Edge Comp, Hello Quadzilla Adrenaline
I can drop wiretap fueling back down to 7 psi rather than 10 that should help. There also shouldn't me much, if any, more smoke due to this. Also the wiretap fueling comes on in stages. at the low limit is doesn't go from 0 to 100 % it will do %150 of what you have set as your low limit % for the net 3 psi. So if you have your wiretap low set at 10psi and your low limit % is set to 0 then at 10psi you get %50 of the wiretap from the map. At 13 psi you get %100 of what the map asks for.

@Mopar1973Man OBDLink Questions
using the limited sensor data we have calculating MPG on a turbo diesel is tough. That is why we always verify with hand numbers if you are really wanting to be accurate. The question is how accurate is good enough? I would say that both the SG and OBDlink get close enough to show a reasonable accurate MPG for a trip. However it is up to the user to realize when the mpg is not accurate due to the driving style / conditions.
