  1. Sucks you had to go through that, but a lot of trans shops are like this.
  2. I hate to side with Apple, as I don't agree with %90 of the things they do, but this time I think they are right. I don't doubt that it is a publicity stunt trying to gain supports for their products. Apple is VERY good at marketing and appearing trendy to the public. Privacy is very trendy right now.... From what I understand about it is, They already have the legal ability to get warrants to find info on the device, what they don't have is the back door access through encryption on the device to pull the info without having to go through the warrant process. I might be missing something but I did dig to deep into it.
  3. I have smoke also, always been like that. I dont have any other issues, so I don't worry about it.
  4. I had a vp44 fail shortly after using degel stuff. I doubt that key would cause your issues. Have you bleed your inector lines? How much fuel is coming out of the lines when cranking? Have you done the hot wire test?
  5. Can you take a picture of the butchered wires? Any codes stored in the ecm?
  6. I would really look at that map code. Does the edge read 0 psi boost at idle? If you clear codes then just let the truck idle does the p238 code come back? Do you have the ability to use a like data tool, such as a code reader or scan gauge? I would check and see what the ecm is reporting for boost. I think your stumble is related to that, I am guessing your edge is not boost fooling %100 of the time and the ecm freaks when it sees high boost, and defuels. I am guessing you have a short someplace on the map leads betweem the ecm and edge. I would use a multimeter to test for continuity between the pins of the map plug. If that all tests good then I would start looking for a new ECM as I would guess that the boost circuit in the ecm is burnt up.
  7. yea those 2 dont go together. Where are you renting?
  8. Chickens are actually pretty tough, I don't worry about them until it gets down below 0, then I just flip on the bulb in their coop and they stay happy. A single light inside of a cinder block with water on top does the rest. My mother has chickens in north minnesota, they do pretty good, but they have a winter coop and a mobile coop for the summer. Nope I own my piece of dirt, well the bank owns it and I pay them.
  9. Well it depends is it cheaper than going to the store and buy bottom of the barrel quality stuff? Not even close.... Is it cheaper than going to the store and buy blah blah organic blah blah stuff from whole foods? could be, plus you don't have to go to whole foods.... The nicely thing about having chickens for me is, they keep laying even if I am too lazy to go to the store, I always have eggs as a backup meal. I am very much looking forward to having a few cows. I have every intention of butchering myself, just because I want to. who knows how long that will last, but I like the idea now. My grandpa did this and I have good memories of that. The smell of the walk in freezer or the processing room makes me smile.
  10. These are the most important tool I own. The Jaws stay parallel %100 of the time and clamping force is HUGE. I can do more work on the truck with just those than any other tool. If they only had a locking feature, BRB searching the net for locking Knipex plyers............. I was looking for locking plyers.....but I found these instead..... http://www.amazon.com/Knipex-86-03-400-16_inch-Pliers-Wrench/dp/B00FBPPKPO Must have
  11. I understand liking to kill them, provided he helps take care of them ahhahahaha. Something about ending the life of an animal that tries to peck and barb you.........."AHHH YEAAAA come here rooster, today you gonna die!!!!" The green house is going up shortly. Pretty excited for that. The garlic is already starting to come up, which is exciting and we have all of out seeds on the counter right now planning our next move. A load of dirt tomorrow for the garden and we are off to the races.
  12. ...no vise grips? are you crazy man????
  13. Yea I thought it looked like a 5 gallon bucket with the bottom missing and a slit in the side. Your images give me a slight hope for the next generation.
  14. I don't biol / defeather, I just skin them, well I guess pull the skin off like they are a rabbit. Works pretty good.
  15. I am loving that post. I need one of those bird holders for the end of life process.
  16. I happen to be a chicken master, And by master I mean I feed them and they lay eggs for me. We got 5 girls in our garden. i will have to snap some pictures. by far the easiest animals to care for, and when something does happen we just cut it's head off and more on.
  17. Some more Chris Ledoux for good measure.
  18. You shouldn't have the boost code with the edge installed. The ecm should never seen more than ~16psi due to the edge boost fooling. 1693 is just a code saying the ecm or pcm has more codes. have you verified that the grids are working? you truck should not start that cold without the grids so something weird is going on there. p500 check the wiring junction above the drivers front wheel. all the wires for the bed of the truck run through that plug. easy to get a bad plug there. Does your speedo work? Are you spinning your tires a lot? Strange that the edge see's volts ( I don't know if the edge has it's own volt meter or if it reads it from the ecm) I would guess you have a pcm/ecm/ccd network issue. Very random codes to have. maybe a bad ECM? or failing ecm? but I wouldn't throw money at it yet.
  19. I don't think anyone knows honestly. Airdog either does know when group of serial numbers has the issues or they are unwilling to release the numbers to us. I THINK, take that with a grain of salt, that any 4G pump should not suffer from that issue.
  20. To clearify, pureflow does not = airdog, two different companies, airdog pays for the right to build pureflow pumps for light duty trucks. After talking with the pureflow owner, the license holder for the airdog, he told me that airdog changed the design without getting approval from pureflow. That is where the issues came from, pureflow required them to go to the 4g series pump, which is a pureflow design. Once the 4g pumps got out there a lot of the issues went away, but there are still a TON of faulty pumps floating around here and there. Still cheeses me off that airdog never gave a "hey we're sorry we screwed a bunch of you over" speech. but oh well, I don't have to worry about being left on the side of the road anymore thanks to pureflow. They were beyond awesome to work with throughout the issue.
  21. Anyone else finding irony in the OP's avatar and now having brake issues? just thought it was funny, I suppose the valve may have, but really no point in jumping to conclusions until you get the drums off.
  22. for what it is worth, My pureflow pump is doing great. Hasn't missed a beat since it was installed 2 years ago. I think the model number is FP-125 from http://www.pureflowtechnologies.com/
