  1. Yep, I let mind run, then took my iquad app on my phone to watch FP as I adjusted FP.
  2. What happens if you stick a paperclip in the plug for the cad? I know Mike is working on the wiring, I don't know the status on it. Have you checked the articles?
  3. Stock steel lines are prone to cracking at the heat exchanger. Also they tend to get holes wore in them if any of the mounting breaks. If your lines aren't leak then there is no real need.
  4. At .50 c per gallon cheaper who cares about mpg numbers. The btu would have to be 2/3 of diesel for that to even out here.
  5. Spending some more time. I am working on an "emissions" / Perf mode that drives the bottom of the curve hard. Need to do some more find tuning, but overall smoke levels are down offidle, lag is also reduced. I almost regret not going with 150's at this point. I think the vgt could have handled it fine.
  6. Yes you should have bigger injectors to use the bigger turbo. It takes fuel combustion enegt to spin the turbo. Ie to get boost you need fuel. The 3k should be rebuilt before use. I am not a huge fan of ats stuff myself, but it would work. The upgrade between. The 2k and 3k or 60/68 wouldn't be mind blowing but with 125's and a 60/68 you would have a reliable fast spooling 450 ish hp truck. Egts likely wouldn't be an issue. I guess the question is, Do you want more power than you have now?
  7. The aurora 2k doesn't really have lag due to it's size, but the top end is VERY limited due to that sizing. The 60/68/12 will have similar lag to the 2k due to its improved design and your fueling upgrades, but also support more top end.
  8. i'd run it. Bio is closer to the old non usdl specs
  9. You have it right. With an auto you will likely have to turn the box down, I know with my setup I have to turn the box down, but I am also at 7000' altitude which makes a HUGE difference. The turbo sizing and injectors will give you a better towing setup. Turbo ssizing is typically a balancing act, IE: Do you want a quick spooling setup or a higher HP setup?
  10. HP is nothing more than a calculation of torque over time. HP = (T*N)/5252 T = Torque (lbft) N = Speed (rpm) Our ECM'S are set to defuel at ~20 psi of boost so, injectors, say 125 hp, will not put the same power down as a box that does 120hp just because the box will boost fool and keep the ecm from defueling. Boost fooling means that The box will sit between the map sensor and the ECM, as boost rises beyond 20psi the box will only output a max of 20psi to keep the ecm from defueling. Basis Boost fooling explained map output | Tuner | ECM input 5psi --> 5psi -->5psi 15 psi -->15psi-->15psi 25psi -->25psi--->20psi Without a box you will not see over 25psi ever because the ecm does a great job at pulling fuel when it see's overboost condition.
  11. Did the truck "jump"
  12. The cad may have be stuck partly in 4wd still and finally let loose? I know my cad didn't like to move.
  13. A box is a computer method to increase the fueling of the truck without needing larger injectors. You don't need a box, but they do provide benefits, timing, different mapping over the ecm that is more efficient / better to dd, boost fooling, etc etc. While towing you are putting your truck unload large load, so having a box turned up can cause issues. the more load you put on a diesel the more power it will make generally. Now you don't need 500 hp to tow so turning the box down gives you more of a buffer zone to prevent damage. As for injectors + box + turbo being better than large injectors + turbo. 6 in one hand half dozen in another, but having a box gives you the ability to have 500 hp when you want to put the pedal down and 350 hp when towing and you put the pedal down. Everything will be stressed less. Having all 3 gives you the best of both worlds. you can have a fun 500 hp dd truck and a good reliable, not to powerful, towing truck.,
  14. This sounds strange, but was it a metal on metal bang or a combustion or pressure release bang?
  15. Issue is in the API for paypal. It is being VERY dumb, we are working through it.
  16. We are working through a Paypal API issue now so if you see the error when trying to checkout, dont worry we are working on it.
  17. When you get to the page to verify shipping, ensure your address is valid, formatted, number + street city state zip PM me your address and I will format it to be correct for the system.
  18. Man....I just scrolled right past that 850i I posted above and thought....Damn that's sexy...gotta have one. Anyways just finished "painting" the trunk lid and rear drivers side. Only the roof left Gonna rename her "The 20 Footer"
  19. We are happy to say that we have got 15 switches in the store for sale. We expect these to go fast. We will be updating the store each day as the remaining parts come in. This run of switches has 2 LED's that shine green in MPG mode and red in high idle mode. Check out the store.
  20. Can you fill us in on the codes? I know you dont want to hear bad news, but keeping them from us is just making us suggest things that cause you to "blindly throw money" at the truck. None of us want that, been there done that.
  21. sounds like a vacuum issue to me . Do your vents move from whatever position to defrost when you come to a stop?
  22. putting another boost fooler in front of the edge shouldn't hurt anything, it would just prevent the edge from ever seeing anything about 20ish psi. I am guessing that at some point in the process the wiring got managled or something causing a short. I would still test all 3 pins on the map wiring to the ecm and ensure that you are not having any shorts between the wires.
  23. I dunno I think we should just give Hillary the passcode for the encryption......what's the worst that could happen? Apple also did release all the message data and voice data from the phone per the warrant. Really everything the FBI needs they already have.
