  1. Just a drawstring 1 or whatever the basic one is. Just ensure you mount it so the straw sits almost on bottom, they work great provided you install then correctly. I think there is an article here about it. I will look later.
  2. It slides up and down to allow for it to sit on the bottom of the tank regardless of the tank size. You could just mount yours so it sits on bottom. As for the fuel module, they are the same between as and diesel, but you cannot take a new in tank style module, remove the pump and have it suck fuel. You might be able to mix and match parts to make it work, but the pump in the tank is the pickup source for fuel. Can you find a module without the lift pump now days? If you can and it is for a gas truck I don't see why it wouldn't work. You could use the part number lookup tool to compare part numerous between the gas and diesel engine.
  3. The sending unit and basket will work, but the fuel pump wont. You could install a draw straw in your setup maybe or install a draw straw in a new fuel module aka remove the pump. It is gonna be hard to find the old style fuel module without the lift pump.
  4. You don't want to run a gas fuel pump in a diesel, the seals will get eaten up. Don't bother with 2 pumps, to complex.
  5. My only issue with beeline is it is heavy, not a big issue on a truck, but still.
  6. Different andriod os and screen layouts cause different menu items to appear. Try using the menu button while in the app.
  7. The numbers 14-20psi are happy numbers that we use. Dodge themselves say anything under than 10 is playing with fire. In addition to FP numbers Bosch says that our fuel systems are designed to have %30 of fuel go to the vp44 for operation and %70 of fuel go through the the vp44 and back to the tank to assist in cooling the vp44. Look at how many %100 stock 2nd gens are on the road, no FP guage, no upgraded lift pump. I am a firm believer that the revision that bosch did on the vp44 really helped with the issues due to fuel pressure, but why poke a hornets nest? Stable fuel pressure cannot hurt the vp44. As for the pressure drop, from my experience, the big line kit and fittings wont help your issues, your issues are due to low flow numbers.
  8. weak batteries or a low amp alternator could cause the grid cycling to be more noticeable. however I see my voltage drop to 11.2 with good batteries on my 2nd gen. always sucked a ton of powre.
  9. if anything it will ride better
  10. That plastic tube is a dust shield. Yep just dont wait until the wheels fall off hahaha....however that owuld make for something good to talk about.
  11. Store issue has been fixed. We have migrated to a better shipping process that uses an outside source to process the shipping. It is working much better. Orders will now go through, without special address formatting thankfully. Please let us know if you have issues.
  12. already replaced the control arms....3 times..... I don't see anything weird going on personally.
  13. Overall I think you should stop worrying about issues and just enjoy the truck If you try to fix or figure out every little issue with our 15 year old trucks you will go mad. case in point I have a clunk in the front end, I can't find it, doesn't wear tires, and nothing has fallen off in the 40k I have driven the truck, so I don't worry about the clunk, if I accidentally fix it someday, great, if not oh well.
  14. I use it all the time. What do you want to know? I could say it is the best thing since sliced bread, but really when it comes down to it our vp44 trucks are old in terms of technology so don't expect EFI. Rather think of it as a way to manage how the quad responds to your driving style.
  15. I don't see any issue, The tc will unlock when you take your foot off the pedal. When you apply power your engine will rev because the tc isn't locked, and then it will lock.
  16. looks like you are getting 4th without lockup then lockup is happening. I wouldn't say it is downshifting.
  17. dash mount tablet for gauges? Pretty neat, but it seems that the obd stuff i limited to what the dash already shows us. I would be curious if the OBD shows you real numbers for oil pressure.
  18. Can you even buy a standard comp anymore?
  19. I like the digital gauges, it is easy to spot a sensor failing. Like my oil pressure sensor, it was stuck reading 99psi, no cel or code stored, but the quad showed me plain as day that the sensor was reading incorrect. Same thing thing happened when my map sensor failed. I had a code but no need to troubleshoot as the quad showed me plain as day the map was stuck reading 42psi. Really it's about preference. The quad without a doubt gives you more power and more tuning. I am not sure what the cost of an edge is these days but the quad is pretty reasonable.
  20. I wouldn't worry about it. I am assuming your truck isn't surging?
  21. Nothing yet, we are waiting until we get the store issues fixed.
