That's what I liked about it from day one http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/dept.aspx?dept_id=07-001 May be a couple dollars more buying from Richard at this site, but his help is worht the extra if you have any issues or questions. I called him a few times hooking it up with some questions and he said no matter what time of the day, shout it i have an issue.

Mechanical Lift Pump
I have one of them on my truck, have had it for must be 3-4 years now and a friend of mine has one on his too for the same amount of time...both of us have had no issues whatsoever (knock on wood ). I bought mine from Glacier Diesel. Fuel pressure is adjusted in the bypass valve and when you buy it (if from Glacier) you can tell him what you want it set at for pressure I would think, it's just a matter of adding or removing shims in it. I took mine what it comes set at which is about 16-18 psi, bypass opens at 19 psi I believe, if i can trust my gauge. As for the belt, i'm on my second belt in the time I've been running it, and the first one was my own fault due to backing in over a huge pile of hard snow and it poped the belt off and broke it, then the truck immediately switched back to my factory lift pump and ran off that until I put a belt on it. When I ordered it I told him to send me an extra belt, I always carry one under the seat for an emergency. (only like $15 or so) Napa can match the belt # btw. If I had to name one thing I would like to see differently, and it's really not that big of deal but i'm giving feedback you want, I'd make a pan and mount it under the pump somewhere so the belt doesn't get knocked off if your the type that off roads. I personally love the pump , and would buy another one in a heartbeat if this one ever quits.

Looking for information
I recentley inherited a Massey Ferguson dozer and the started quit on me. After going to a couple starter shops I now realize it's getting hard to get parts for this machine. The first shop i took it to said he can't even get the parts to rebiuld it, can't find any used ones but he did track one new one down but it's alot of $$$. The USA being as big as what it is, made me wonder if any of you guys know of spots to get this type of item or parts to do a complete rebuild. A buddy of mine did track down a brand new one for for a little over $500, but I would kind of like to find somewhere that sells parts also for future needs. The starter is a CAV # 1320090 off a Massey Ferguson 400. (not sure on the year)The drive gear on it has 10 teeth

My high idle
I thought it odd too! I had it going about two weeks ago, high idle worked perfect and stayed on it until I kicked it off about 10 minutes after starting it.

My high idle
I went out and started my truck today, temperature out was about -12 C. I started it and it went up on high idle after about a minute, didn't go into 3 cyl...and after about 3-4 minutes of ruunning, it kicked itself out and went back to a normal idle. Temp gauge was showing 120 on my attitude monitor if I remember correctly. I even tried the high idle fooler, wouldn't go back into high idle. Shut the truck off and restarted it and still no high idle...flicked the fooler on agian in finally in about 3-4 after doing so, it reved back up to 1200 rpm. Surprised me that the high idle would stop when the engine was still cold, I've had warmer days that it worked flawlessly

Having some computer issues
Got my computer fixed. Come to find out it was a bad version of Windows. When I had the system built I had a legal copy of Windows to put on it, but instead of me driving to the shop with my disc, I just gave them my serial number for mine over the phone and they used a copy they had there. Got it back last night, all hardware checked good, loaded a good copy back on and all my usb's etc..work fine

Steering box brace
[quote=RJC2;47024 He parked on a hill (manual transmission) and used the emergency brake to hold it while getting out and check the binders on the backhoe. You can guess the rest of the story... He couldn't run fast enough to catch it! The binders were fine. Truck... not so.

Surging
Someone can correct me if i'm wrong when I say this, but I was told if you can use cruise control and it doesn't surge when doing it, it's not likely an apps issue. Mine randomnly does the same, seems to be more of a cold weather thing. You can try cleaning your IAT sensor, maybe that is getting gummed up

Having some computer issues
Everything in Device manager shows ok, no exclaimation points anywhere, that's why i'm puzzled. I did try what you said ISX, part way through it said it needed the Xp disc inserted to load some missing DLL files, I put it in and let it complete, but it didn't show up any issues. I guess I'll have to break down and take it to the shop. I still have warranty, but I just hated leaving it there for however long they need it. Hopefully I can make an appointment and he will look at it right then. Thanks for the ideas fellas

Having some computer issues
Could be worn out, just thought it's odd that 3 sticks, 1 SD card and even my cell phone all say they need to be formatted when plugged in to this computer. I know my cell phone is ok because I used it on 2 other computers in the past few days to load stuff on to it.

Having some computer issues
Both sticks wont let me run the error check in propeties, soon as I select to do it and click to start, the box closes and thats it.I know the one stick works on another computer because like I said, my wife took it somewhere and accessed it to develop pictures

Having some computer issues
My computer is acting up and i'm not able to figure out whats going on with it. It has probably 7-8 usb ports on it, some of the ones on the back I have my mouse, keyboard and printer hoolked to (they all are working). On the front I have 3 ports and also a slot I can plug my camera SD card into it. Whenever I plug a flash stick into one of the ports it doesn't pop the box open asking my what I want to do, as in view files, play files etc, and if I go to My Computer, locate the drive on try to open it up it always says the drive needs to be formatted. A couple of the sticks i have I said ok, formatt, it always says they couldn't be done. One stick I have I know works because my wife took it to get pictures developed off of it, asks for me to do the same thing, but i'm not going to because I don't want to lose all my pictures. Any stcik I do plug in that acts that way, if i go into my computer and check the properites of the drive, it always says the drive it full and has no more room, even when I know there is nothign on the stick. Device manager shows no issues, all the usb ports say in there they are all working ok.SD slot also want sme to formatt . Anyone have any ideas for a computer dummy. I searched on the net but i'm finding some of the explainations kind of confusing to be quite honest and not really sure if it pertains to my problem exact :banghead:

NV 5600 6spd
Guy claims it's out of a 02 like mine, that was rolled (60 ooo km on it, but I really have no way of telling for sure. I noticed the add has it listed as a NVG, whats the G stand for I wonder?

NV 5600 6spd
So how much are good used ones going for? I have chance to buy one for $1200. Don't really need it but I hear they are getting harder to get, thought as long as I have my truck it may be a good idea to have a spare until I get rid of it someday, then I can always sell it . Says it has a 1 3/8 10 spline input shaft, not really sure though if that's the same as the one in my truck...anyway of telling short of tearing it apart?

national cell phone ban
Ha, they are already doing this at work, or at least are telling people they are not allowed using them! No talking on cell phones when walking to or from your vehicle because you may not look where your walking !

national cell phone ban
I agree that driving is a privledge, and I agree there area alot of idiots out there. Whether a cell phone ban is right or wrong could be disputed forever, but my point is if it's not legal for everyone to do it, why should it be legal for anyone, including cops. It's funny i'm typing this tonight because here's another example getting away from cell phones for a second, My wife and I were out with another couple for dinner tonight and were driving along (4 of us in the car all talking) and a police car came up behind me and stayed on my a**, about 15 ft away for about 5 miles. As we were coming to a passing lane I saw him get close enough it was hard to see his headlights and put his signal light on to go out by me, but another car coming towards us kept him from doing it. Next passing lane we came to he went out by me, and in a 50 mph zone he started pulling away from me. I started speeding up and there I was doing 65 mph in a 50 zone, and he was still pulling away from me...no lights flashing, no siren going. Where's the law enforcer in that? Leading back to the cell phones, how do you make a good impression and try to convince people this is not the way to act when driving a car, when the ones giving out the tickets are guilty of it?If it's a law, it's a law and should be no exceptions. That's was causes unrest in this country , when people aren't put into the same catagory when it comes to rules, and the ones that are forced to live by the rules have to sit back and watch the other ones not. Sorry to stray a bit but it all ties together in reality. I would discuss the police truck I saw the other night with the trailer hitch sticking out the reciever (which they fine you for it) sitting at a stop sign , then proceeding left without using his signal light (which they fine you for ), but i've hijacked the thread enough.

national cell phone ban
Alllrighty, here I go. Coming from a place where there is in fact a cell phone ban I want to tell you some observations I see. So they say it was causing accidents driving while talking, or texting for that matter, yes, I'm sure it does. So they decided to ban it and now what do you have, you have a large number of people driving around talking, heads on a swivel looking for police so they don't get caught. You now have the texters out there that used to rest the phone on top of the steering wheel so they could (try to ) watch the road and text at the same time, now hiding their phone down in their lap as they drive looking down to text, worse then the situation it was. I know it happens because I see it all the time, like literally everyday. I'm not going to sit here and say it's not dangerous allowing it, but what's the difference between a person talking on a cell phone, or a trucker talking on a CB mic ? That's allowed here...a cop driving along talking on his cell phone...that's allowed here. They say it's part of their job so it's kind of a grey topic area! Does that being part of the job mean they can't get distracted? As for distractions, how is it not a distraction to have a person, or a car load of people in the car all talking to you at the same time while you drive? I would almost think that's worse because you now have the driver looking sideways to look at the person he's talking to, or better yet looking in the back at the people he's talking to. The stereo cranked up loud while your driving along eating a bag of chips and they are falling in your lap, so you looking down to pick them up. Kids in the back seat hollaring or argueing , all distractions. As for speeders like ISX said, the gov't doesn't want speeders to stop speeding, if they say they do their making a fool of themselves! They want speeding stopped, make car makers program a car that it can't go over 70 mph, period! Speeding causes tickets which in turn generates revenue for the gov't. People talking on cell phones causes tickets which again generates revenue. If they wanted it stopped, it would be stopped via programming like someone said earlier so the phone wont work when the car is running. They can do almost anything with a computer, so i'm sure they can do that. To me, texting while you drive..No ! but it's not the cell causing the accident while someone drives and talks on it, it's the person that can't hold concentraton to do two things at once. If they can't hold a device to their ear and talk into it without being preocupied, maybe they shouldn't be allowed to have anyone in the car speaking to them either. If it's a law for one it should be for all, that's what pi**es me off when I see a cop driving along talking on his, yet stops another person for doing the exact same thing and gives them a $250 fine

Info needed Asap please fellas
Yea, I have the steering box brace. The only play we found in the front end noticeable was a bit of up and down in the pass side balljoints. Tie rods, trak, universals, everything else was ok. So with the new box and shaft, I was guessing it's in the column somewhere but it's probably not something i'm going to dig into deep because it's not that bad. I've only driven the truck a few times since I put these on, maybe some of it's me being so used to correcting that it just feels weird driving something decent now.

Still find on the highway I do a bit of correcting , but nothing near what I had...thinking it's from the steering wheel play. At least when I come into a corner with my gooseneck on i'm not wondering where it's going to decide to dart to. As for the slack moving, my mechanic said he couldn't find anything to cause my problem other than the box and shaft, but that being said, it probably wouldn't take very much to see a fair amount of extra movement on the steering wheel i'm guessing. I'm kind of wondering if the column itself has some wear..needing the Rock Solid steering kit Can't feel the movement they describe but maybe i'm just not catching it

Info needed Asap please fellas
Running 285's and yes, much easier to steer. I never realized how much strain the steering had on my arm and shoulder until now.Seems like I do have a bit of play in the steering wheel itself and not really sure how to cure that, but I can live with it. At least now I don't have to drive with the death grip on the steering wheel when I come into a corner. Are they better than a new stock box,,,idk, but i'm glad I bought them

leveling kit
Like mine...Hell Bent Steel 2" kit. Is up a bit in the front when towing my gooseneck, but I don't tow it alot so I'd rather have it level when empty.
