Miss Moisture Missle.... Questions
MoparFreak1988, Not trying to be rude but could you put some periods in our posts. Kind of distracting reading them trying to figure out where you wanted to start and stop your sentences.

So guys I apologize if I already asked this but I looked through my post and can't see that I did. I know where there's a 2001 HO with a 6 spd for sale but it's 2 wheel drive. What is the big difference between the 2 and 4 wheel drive in regards to the 6 spd. I'm having a brain wave of buying the truck and parting it out , selling the engine and rest of the stuff off the truck and keeping the 6 spd for a spare or parts for mine. Not sure how much the engine would be worth, 355 km on it but still running decent form what i'm being told.

Miss Moisture Missle.... Questions
They say even if you have any moisture or water in your carpet or floor mats that will cause it also. I see Rain-X sells an inside product to prevent fogging, i may try that on mine. It may also help your issue?

Time for a new truck I think
Just my 2 cents.. I was in your boat 3 years ago, I went to a guy locally that goes to NC and buys up southern boxes, doors, fenders etc and brings them back to Canada to resell. We talked and I said to him for the money i'm dumping into mine, it's still not worth much more then what I put in it when i'm done. Now, I realize this guy is selling when I say this, but he said to me in his opinion if I plan on keeping mine for a while fix what I have because from what he is seeing, the 98-02 model years are some of the better. He has sold many Cummins engines for the 03-06 model years, and he claims he thinks the body panels dont seem to be as good. My biggest thing was I didn't want to get into the engine issue, I even have a buddy with an 04 and one with an 04.5, the 04 had an engine replacement, the 04.5 had injector issues. Yes, I know there's issues with all, but this is some of what I based my decision on when deciding to fix mine up or not. Although it would be nice to have to something newer

Stock Clutch and 40 horse tune on my XRT
I run the 120 Hp Edge tune on mine for over a year now, it's all in how you treat it. I very rarely flaten mine from bottom end, if I want to play I make sure it's when i'm already rolling along at a good clip

Fuel Pressure Gauge - Electronic or Mechanical???
I have the Edge Attitude monitor but not sure how accurate they really are. It does say the same as what an old make shift mechanical gauge I had cobbled up told me I had for psi. I would sooner have mechanical but the edge gave me other stuff I wanted so it was best for me. I always liked the look of the Dipricol gauges. I wouldn't be to worried about fuel in the cab if it were me doing it. That's just my opinion tho.

New member, lift pump questions.
No I don't have any strainer between, but if memory serves me correctly I think I got Richard to send me one out after the initial purchase but I never did get around to putting it on . I think it's still in my toolbox:lol:As for fuel pressure, when going to WOT you will see the pressure drop some, I don't think I've ever seen it go below 14 psi when really stomping on it, then soon as I shift or slack out of it it starts to rise. Normal highway driving it's constantly hovering between 16-18 psi (Edge Attitude gauge)Another thing I liked about this pump is like I mentioned previously, if it fails it automatically reverts back to the stock lift pump instead of leaving you strandedI too don't like messing with stuff all the time and I looked quite a while before I bought this pump.At the time, I read about FASS, Airdog, etc but in my head I was still thinking...electric , and I just got done replacing 3 electric pumps and a IP, so electric wasn't winning any votes in my book. I just happened to stumble upon Glacier's site when I was trying to figure out a solution. I kept looking at them, told a buddy about them and he didn't ponder at all, he called and ordered one the next day. I waited until he got his, liked what I saw and ordered it. I figured the mechanical pump was pretty simple, didn't think there was much to wear out and I wouldn't know if it was good until I took a chance.Glacier was the only site I stumbled upon back then that sold a mechanical set up,now I see more as you said. I don't know if it's changed or not but at the time, one thing I found nice about buying from Richard was that when i had a question I spoke to him, the owner of the company. He told me he didn't care what time of the day it was, if I needed help to call and he stuck to his word on that. I'm not pushing him on anyone because thing may change since my purchase, I can only say what my experience was like buying form there. 5 Star for service no question

New member, lift pump questions.
Not knocking Cummins Performance Parts, but keep in mind once you click on add the plumbing, the kit costs more then Glacier's kit. I know Glacier's has everything to do the complete install http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/product.aspx?pf_id=FB-98502

Hey Matt, welcome to the forum.I always like to promote the Fuel Boss as i've been running one for hmm.... must be 4-5 years now, can't quite remember. Knock on wood, over that time I have had only one issue, broken belt and that was my own fault from backing in over a large snow bank that was kind of hard left by the snowplow. I bought mine from Richard at Glacier Diesel and remember when i bought it he was top notch, had some questions and called him and he returned my calls very quick. I hold constant 16-18 psi and that can be adjusted by adding or taking away shims from the bypass valve.I often thought of making a small shield type affair for covering where it's mounted but I don't off-road so its not an issue. I definetley would not let that keep me from buying one now that I had one. Only reccomendation I make if you buy one, for the cost, buy an extra belt or two when ordering it, and tell him to throw a couple extra shims in the box so you can adjust it higher or lower if you ever want to.No regrets on mine and if it ever goes to pieces I will buy another from the same place, no question. A buddy of mine put one on his same time I did and has no issues with his yet either. FYI,I carry a spare belt under the seat and with a 1/2 wrench I believe it is you can put a belt on in a few minutes. Remember, if the belt fails it will instantly switch back to your factory LP until you fix the belt.

Guns.....
My 96 year old neighbor came to my place yesterday for breakfast and we got talking about a couple of murders that happened locally and lack of evidence for one of them and a conviction for another. This is a broad statement not just for the shootings in the world because in alot of cases the people doing them kill themselves, but for the way the world is in general. He's seen alot of changes in the world in his 96 years, sad changes and he said its sickening to see what takes place nowdays. His thought I have to say i agree on in alot of situations and it would be a wake up call to these hardened criminals. Prisons are overflowing, crooks don't care because the punishment is a joke. Serious crimes like these shootings that the bad guys survive, have hangings , same as murderers. Less expense and the problem people are gone, and maybe the next guy that's having the brainwave will think a bit before he does it. Sounds harsh...but not as harsh as the poor people getting killed for no reason. They don't deserve to die while the person that took their live lives. JMO

Guns.....
Government can take all the guns they want, but they're only going to get the ones that are owned by honest people. The criminals either wont turn theirs over or they will have them taken if its known they have them, then they will get more. As was said earlier though, if the crime isn't done by gun, it will be done by something. And I agree ISX, we have become a society that doesn't want to talk. Walk down the street and you'll see, most people will not acknowledge each other, have their heads down looking at their texts, or MP3 players playing in their ears as they give a blank stare ahead. I said this earlier and wonder who feels the same....anyone feel the type of programming or movies that's being out today is a contributing factor? I mean look at it, so much of what you see on tv now days is about people killing people, sick twisted people going out and taking revenge on innocent people. To me it has the possibility to fuel a fire of somebody sitting watching it thats half a bubble off center

Guns.....
hex0rz, I think that was all very well said! One thing I see out of that post that maybe govt's should possibly look at, is the secret training of all teachers in hanguns and being able to conceal carry? I know, sounds dumb because it doesn't happen in only schools, but these are the places where the innocent are much to young to even begin to think of protecting themselves, so that's the adults job.

Yesterday's society =. bad or different acting kids means work with them, spend time with them and teach them things they need to know about life. Spend time doing things as a family, if you see they are bothered, try to talk to them to find out whats going on in their lives.Teach them to get out, make friends, have hobbies, act like kids. Today's society= bad or different acting kids..O , my child has ADD. I can't deal with him, give him drugs so I can do other things instead of spending time on him/her. Here's a video game, sit and play it all day until you get annoyed enough at it you figure out how to kill all the players on the other team. You don't need a bicycle, just sit in your room and watch tv. Mom and Dad will be home later, get yourself something good to eat, there some choclate bars in the cupboardI bet i've only seen 3 kids out on bicycles hanging out together all summer around here, and that's no exaggeration. As for kids walking along with their pants hanging down over their ___ with a hoodie on in scorching heat while texting on their new iPhone..lost countWhy are kids screwed up compared to years ago ...

Guns.....
I don't think the media cares about anything other then blowing the story up as big as it can be so they can get the viewers in return for investors. As i said...IMO media is alot to blame for tragedies like this. It's an avenue to fame to a twisted persons mind

Guns.....
Im Canada our gov't's have spent literally billions of dollars trying to bring in an active gun control system . I don't follow it alot because I don't have any, but last I heard it still hasn't passed and I think they were going to abandon the idea. Guns are here, they will always be here and if it comes a day when the legal honest person cannot go into a store and buy one, they may go without, but the underground markets will just grow and grow. If someone wants a gun bad enough, they will get one. Peolel like that guy yesterday, if he couldn't buy a gun legally, maybe he would've had a harder job getting ahold of one , but I do think he would have still gotten it somehow, just maybe taken longer. People like that are twisted in their thoughts, and maybe if a gun wasn't available, a Machete or a knife would be his next choice, but he was out to kill and I doubt he'd stop until he did kill. I think one of the biggest things "ALL" countries have to stop doing is plastering it all over the television and internet when things like this happen. Yes people should know, but I truly believe all this does is makes the next crazy thats sitting home in his house rocking back and forth talking to himself get the thought in his head of look, everyone knows that guy now and he'll be remembered. These people want people to know who they were, they want their fame whether they're here to see it or not, but they know it's going to because they're watching the other guys fame right now. I watched a bit yesterday and then had to turn it off for that reason, it angers me to think the media is promoting another psyco to act later , by reporting on the present. Also sickening to see what took place, so I couldn't handle seeing the grief...feel so bad for the parents.I wish the broadcasting regulators would really look at stopping this type of reporting...and also while they're at it, all the shows simulating murders and the real life shows showing crime cases and how they're solved. Why help the criminals out by telling them how to beat the system? It has become a sad sad world IMO

MBRP 4" turbo back. Bought it about 3 years ago and no issues, and was pretty cheap in price. No drone..no regrets
-
Red lined
I've heard ppl using a fire extinguisher spraying into the turbo...will that work as a last resort ? Will it do major harm or still better then letting it turn itself inside out ?

Air bags or Springs ?
What kind did you go with ISX ? I priced out Airlift and Firestone...pretty much the same price but the price isn't really a determining factor unless we're taling huge differences. I'm looking for a good quality set up thats trouble free
