Fuel leak factory cannister
You can usually find the newer style off of the forums for $40 or so. I have another buddy with an airdog that is going to remove his factory housing, or I am. If you want I will let you know when he pulls it out.

Fuel leak factory cannister
Mine leaked from the fuel heater wires on top of the canister right after I got my truck. I took it apart and put some black silicone on the o ring and it hasn't leaked a drop in 5 years. If your housing is crack I just so happen to have removed mine Saturday.

I can't see your sig from my phone but do you have the metal canister with the drop out filter or the one with the plastic lid from the newer trucks?

What's the difference??
That's the way I understand it.

Dead Pedal
Is it still running bad? The codes will erase themselves if you fixed the problem.

MPG's Reports
I think his kit was around $300 off of ebay plus the tank. He said he should have bought the better kit that you could adjust the injection because it only does it above 6psi.

Really? poor gas milage?
It's a single wheel truck, I bought the cup holder and ECM out of it. Not sure if its totaled or not but the motor is kinda setting sideways.

Rogan, I know where you can get a complete 98 24v 5 speed 1 owner for probably $2500. He wrecked the front end but drove it off the road, it's got 220k and its a clean Laramie truck.

blow-by.... potential causes....
Did you ask a manager at the bx if they could order you some oil, or the hobby shop on base? I know when I was in Okinawa the hobby shop stocked amsoil for cars and bikes but no 15w40. At least you get to have your truck there, mine stayed in my dads shop in Tx when we were overseas. Good luck

Fuel system bleeding down
Thats in the works as I type. A buddy with a 2002 just got an airdog 165 and said I could have his old canister.

smarty programmer
Mike has the TSB for the high idle, print it out and take it with you. When I took mine to the dealer they had no clue either so I handed them the TSB, they still acted dumb but followed the instructions and low and behold I learned them something.

No more leaky injectors after a filter change
I have 3/8 lines from the tank to the fass and from the fass to the filter housing. I dont think 1/2 was available in 2006 when my fass was purchased but those 3/8 lines will move the fuel too. When we first installed the fass the pump was primed with the line off for some reason and fueu went everywhere. I didnt use any lube on the push lock fittings but I would tighten the needle valve back to where you had it originally or maybe even a little more to get it easy to reach.

MPG's Reports
My grandpa put a propane settup on his 2001 2wd 6 speed and his last trip from Tx to here(FL) he was averaging 23mpg running 70mph with a honda forman 4wheeler in the bed. He just got the cheap $300 kit off of ebay.

blow-by.... potential causes....
I wouldnt put lucas in it anymore and I wouldnt run amsoil if its using oil like that either. Good ole valvoline premium blue, dello and rotella will dissapear that same as the expensive stuff. Are you military? Would it be cheaper for someone to mail you oil from the US?

No more leaky injectors after a filter change
Big line kit should not leak. Mine always leak at the injector line to crossover tube connection. Did you use sealant on the threads of the big line kit? Is it leaking at the push lock fittings the hose slips over or where there threads go into the pump/filter housing.

No more leaky injectors after a filter change
I got some pieces from Eric @ Vulcan and they worked out great. Anytime I open the fuel system I have to bleed the injectors and then have leaky connections for a few days. I got a ball valve and a few other parts to keep the pressure in the pump. Parts list part # 2: 1/2 push lock x 1/2 mnpt pom188 1: 1/8" mpt half union 31482 1: 1/4" sae cap 31992 1: 3/8" npt ball valve 06vlv 1: push lock T 1/2" aluminum plt8 He said a few parts werent listed on his site. I changed all my fuel line today and closed the valve off. When I got done I bumped the starter and bleed the air out, opened the valve and fired it up. So nice to not have leaky injectors.

Is there alot of oil on the underside of the motor and frame? Could be vacuum pump, I know mine leaks but im fixing to order a seal kit to fix it. Might just need to get out there and run the heck out of it for an entire tank of diesel.

Time to change the anti freeze
You have to turn the valve counter clock wise then pull out on it and turn some more. There is no drain on the engine, only lower radiator hose or water pump. It's best to flush it out with the hose and also back flush the heater core. I think using water from a water softener would rust bad, our house has a water softener and all the toilet hardware is rusted.
