  1. No need for high flow tubes unless you are running 6x.013 and bigger, have high feed lines and mods to your injector body. Many people do nt replace them and have no problems. Its up to you. New tubes are not necessary unless you have a 1998.5 Consider selling/returning the smarty and getting a Quadzilla Adrenaline... way more features, less smoke and more power.
  2. Is the 68/14 and 73.4/12 supposed to be compared? 73.4/12 will flow more (I think it would compare nicely to the 80/71 in 14cm gated housing that was on the super B special for many years) @Threadzy Speaking of turbine flow. You can see that any s300 option you pick will be a significant upgrade in compressor and turbine flow.
  3. We can go over the injectors and re-pop them. If they are our injectors we cut labor in 1/2. Regarding DDP injectors I recommend working with them directly. They have a good reputation.
  4. Check out the turbine sheet I posted earlier. These are non gated T4 housings. Consider that a T4 will flow more than a T3, and that a wastegate adds about 20% more flow when open. On the map the turbine wheels are referenced by the inducer and in our normal dodge speak we reference the exducer so on the map a 74mm = what we reference as a 65mm 76mm = 68mm 80mm=73.4mm when we switch to speaking of s400 wheels we usually reference the inducer (83,87,96 etc) Turbine flow will be important for higher RPM and HP. you should monitor your drive pressure as more than 1.2 drive to 1.0 boost = excess back pressure and pumping losses resulting in lost HP (IE 60psi back pressure and 50 psi of boost = 1.2: 1.0) 68/12 is similar to 65/14 68/14 73.4/12 73.4/14 and .91 T4 Compressor wheels... keep in mind that this is inducer and exducer and does not include height of the tips hx35 commonly 52/83 or 54/83 ~ 52-54lbs/minute K27 60/??mm ~55-56lbs/minute (its designed specifically for fast spool and high rpm.... not great for flow. older cast 57mm SuperB 57/83 60lbs/minute HE351 60/86 66lbs/minute GXE 57.2/76.2 66lbs/minute SXE "62" 61.44/83 76-77lbs/minute 63/88 78 lbs/minute (design better for high altitude) 64.5/88 81lbs/minute 66/91 88lbs/minute 69/91 105lbs/minute 72/91 111lbs/minute There is a big jump in weight from the "62mm to the 63mm. The 63mm and the 64.5mm is almost the same weight (exducer is the back of the wheel which is solid aluminum). Just like the 66mm and the 69mm are almost the same weight. Without knowing what your drive pressure is from a similar set up its hard to make a recommendation that is precise. Going to a 73.4mm wheel will allow more more flow without an external wastegate. Hope I answered some of your questions. Maybe someone else can add to or explain better.
  5. Read this on another website. the s464 is offered in a billet configuration and its a better wheel. : [s300]Billet compressor wheel inducer options: 61mm (2.45” inlet), 63mm (2.55” inlet), 64mm (2.60” inlet), 66mm (2.65” inlet), or 69mm (2.75” inlet) [s400] -Cast compressor wheel inducer options: 64mm (2.55” inlet), 66mm (2.65” inlet), 72mm (2.85” inlet), or 75mm (3.00” inlet)
  6. 7x.013 are about 250-300HP over stock injector. the VP44 has a diminishing ability to fuel when you get bigger injectors... they just don't = a matching amount of fuel delivered. S400 are significantly more durable. Larger injectors will give you more control over the tiiming of the injection event and reduce duration. Turbos.... The larger covers also allow for more air to flow. The turbine wheel is a lot heavier and so is the compressor wheel. the 63.5mm is older technology and not as efficient as the newer 67.7mm s400 wheel for example. Its really hard to split the difference and get a turbo that will do both. A 6.7L has about 13% more displacement and the CR heads flow about 10% better without any mods, and the common rails have multiple and more precise injection events..... so spooling a big turbo is a lot easier. s464/83/.90 will probably spool about 2300-2400-RPM and have very little response below that. an s369 would spool faster than an s464...at probably about 2100RPM... abut would put you out of the 2.5 class. Lots of turbine sizes to play around with on the s300 platform and gated allows for better street manners.
  7. Got it... fun stuff and not intended for dual purpose. Consider some 7x.013 injectors (detune with QZ for daily driving) and 64.5/73.4/12cm for close to support 600HP and it will be way more responsive than a s464 (6.7L can support s400 chargers a lot better). The 12cm housing should let you spool up around 1900-2000rpm and will flow more than a 64.5/68/14cm. by comparison vs a 62/68/12 at about 1600-1700. ( altitude, tire size, trans, axle ratio will affect turbo sizing) Lower elevation you can go bigger because you have more air pressure 14.7psi at sea level vs 12.2psi at 5000ft.
  8. Your original post lacks some detail. What size injectors are you going to run? Do you have a HP goal? Sled pulling and street driving are on opposite sides of the spectrum. If you choose a turbo that is well suited for either you will hate it for the other. Sled pulling 2.5 class = custom turbo like s400 (63.5mm for budget, or "65mm" aka 64.5mm in an s400 frame for more competition) Its going to tow like a fat turd but make big peak HP. 62/68/12 S300 SXE is going to be small to be competitive but will drive nicely for 500HP and daily drive and towing. s300 SXE 64.5/73.4/14cm T3 gated or .91 T4 non gated will be a halfway between the two options and still be class legal (check with organization first... rules change every year) Most people who do sled pulling that are competitive have them purpose built and you will get your rear end handed to you if you bring on a street truck. If you want to have fun go ahead and have fun. things break often and its a good idea to trailer it in or have a buddy with a trailer at the ready to come bring you home WHEN something breaks. Not meant to discourage in any way, but don't want anyone to be unprepared.
  9. 68mm turbine with 12cm is best for daily driving and for 500HP-525HP. Above that the14cm will allow for a little less back pressure and will support 550HP- 575HP on the turbine side nicely. Turbine size and turbine housing size make a big difference. Here is a chart for reference. Gated housings add an extra 20% or so flow.
  10. It was a 57/61 with 5 bolt flange. They are discontinued, but we have plans.... @Mopar1973man here is a link for the boost actuator https://www.dieselautopower.com/5-9l-turbo-wastegate-control-solenoid
  11. We want to pass on the deals to Forum members, then we will start listing on Amazon and eBay. If someone wants to make an offer on a part email sales@dieselautopower.com. We are trying to make way for new products coming soon!
  12. My understanding is that the Isspro and the Quadzilla pressure sender has the same scaling.
  13. Here is the link: https://www.dieselautopower.com/dap-deals Autometer, Titan, Airdog, BD, Sinsiter, Pypes, AFE, TS Performance, Dorman, and many other brands.
  14. I think there is some lag with a boost gauges (mechanical has line to pressurize, electrical has processing) Instead of relying on the MAP sensor and Dodge ECM....use the Quadzilla. Hook your pressure sensor (fuel) up to your intake side to get boost #'s that are more accurate and is scaled to 100psi. Then you can datalog with Boost pressure #'s under the FUEL heading. Then use a mechanical fuel pressure gauge for fuel.
  15. Its from Midwest. I recommend the 2 year pump as it gets new electronics. Free shipping and return shipping on the core.
  16. The old boost elbows (some still use this style) have a restrictor in line like a bushing making it take longer to open. The bleed hole allows for better adjustment and tuning for actuator.
  17. The "029" or 16x will work in the dodge application. Calibration and parts are very similar. Some trucks will not be happy with the change and may throw codes. Easier to get away with it on trucks that are modded with injectors and programmer, but the codes don't happen a lot of the time. We will take a 029 core in place of a 027 core. They are very similar.
  18. Consider doing an adrenaline by itself instead of the EZ/Injectors combo. It will give you gauges and custom tuning and enough power comparable to 100HP injectors and EZ.
  19. Comes with about 50 shims https://www.dieselautopower.com/diesel-auto-power-24v-injector-pop-off-pressure-shim-kit-24vshim
  20. Sales are good until at least midnight tonight. Feel free to call in if you want to discuss more.
  21. GX-E 57/65/12 T3 and 100HP is a great set up for 450-500HP With the quadzilla you can run 200HP injectors as if they were less power than stock. If you think you may go bigger in the future you can do 150-200HP injectors and just not use as much fuel stretch or pump tap for now and then you do not need to buy another set of injectors later.
  22. We have L-19 ARP studs for $750 and they hold within about 4% of the aged625. Great for and 800HP build. Consider upgrading to the adrenaline with Iquad instead of the smarty. +100HP and gauges and custom tuning for almost the same price. 62/68 SXE is good for 550HP and spools pretty quick. If you are a towing heavy and often consider compounds for hx35 and s464 for under $2000 with piping and s400 turbo. Cooler EGT and faster spool up and sull support 500-550HP We Have Valair clutches on sale today as well as injectors ( I would recommend 150HP and de-tune a little on the lower RPM with the Adrenaline)
