  1. dually, I can HONESTLY say, that as I sit here typing, I cannot name a single song of hers, off the top of my head..I can, however, recite 99% of the song names + lyrics for SRV, Albert Collins, Journey, Tesla, KISS, and Rush.
  2. from the website: http://certifiedtransmission.com/roadripper3000.asp If your torque converter is still stock, that will still be a huge weak-link in making/applying power. ... And apparently, it "kick @$$!" lol
  3. I have nothing.. not the song, the statement.I don't think I've every really had any connection with her songs. Not saying she wasn't good (or great), just never really interested me.However, I find her more appealing than Mariah Carey. That girl is a walking chalkboard scratch, IMO.
  4. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3332&d=1324492711 gives me a (the rifle, of course ;) )
  5. it could very well be sticking inside the drum. I, too, replaced my pass. side park cable from RockAuto.com It was easy, and quick. Sounds like you may have a couple different issues (same as my '96) compounding the problem.
  6. there are other variables that play into this, such as processing speed, bus speed, etc.But its still some neat data. And I've seen (experienced) where wireless connectivity will slow down wired connectivity speed, when active. Haven't quite figured out why, though.
  7. hey, RJC!We havent been seeing cold enough temps here, for it to engage. it's like low 20s for high idle, and low teens for the 3cyl. I dont know the exact #s for temps, but that's roughly it.
  8. It isn't easy, mind you, but it can be done. I've even had to do it for my rear disc rotor removal (the park brake resides inside the rotor hub hat.)
  9. cool deal. I'm assuming I'll lose a good bit of coolant if I were to replace mine?I mean, it heats ok, avg 110-115*, but if it were to fail, I'll be replacing it. It's tripped my garage GFI circuit a couple times this winter.
  10. pepsi - think that may have something to do with the differences in your built auto + billet TC, versus OE style? ;)
  11. you CAN spin the adjuster either direction, it's just harder to back it off than it is to tighten. I "think" that if you place the screwdriver in the slot (handle down, tip up) and rotate the inner part of the adjuster-wheel down, that loosens the brakes.. Basically, turning the wheel one way is easy, turning it the other way is hard. the 'hard' way, is loosening the brakes. You can get graphite lube (for the cables) at a bicycle store, as well.
  12. if the sector shaft has side movement, the steering box brace will help that dramatically; mine was that way. And, it's not money wasted, once you replace your steering box. Using it on your new box will prolong it's life, as well.
  13. mine did that too. $140 steering box brace fixed that.
  14. then get a quad with Pulse, or Edge w/display, etc.I can display 4 of a number of readings at any given time on mine. I usually display boost, egt, oil pressure, and coolant temp.
  15. i run a 2"leveling kit, stock trackbar, stock ball joints. no issues.
  16. I see it, now :)I'm sure SOMEONE on here is close to you..
  17. no worries, buddy. Take a moment to fill out your signature with your truck information, so we'll know exactly what you have for future assistance..Also, if you know someone with a Smarty, they can flash your ECU with it, then flash back to stock, and BAM! you've got the high-idle, etc. That's how I got mine ;)
  18. Welcome to THE forum! Please take a moment to go to the http://forum.mopar1973man.com/forums/20-Introductions section and introduce yourself to the forum! As for the question(s): holding the trans in gear, and idling up will create excessive heat/wear on the trans; do not do. idling in gear, you're not really loading the engine, as it's similar to having the clutch depressed (sorta) on a manual-transmission truck. not silly or stupid questions at all It's all about learning, around here.
  19. Able to try it yet? Just curious. Damn-straight!
  20. adjust by popping the plug out of the backing plate (a rubber oval plug) and use a flat-tip screwdriver or 'brake spoon' to spin the star adjuster..Best to put the rear axle on stands so the rear tires are off the ground, to be able to spin it and check for pad drag correctness. It could be that, but I doubt it. I chased this issue for weeks on mine. But, you never know :)Good luck.
