  1. looks nice and beefy! I might have to partake on the near future ;)
  2. the Magellan I'm looking at now, has the lifetime updates as well (1700LM)
  3. yeah it lasts. key is preparation, and that's time consuming and tedious, but the results are worth the effort. the downside to using a standard oven is size-limitations.. bigger pieces may not fit, if your oven is smaller.
  4. so, I've been looking at the Magellan 1700-LM. Seems the reviews are hit/miss with various models of Garmin and Magellan.. I'd hate to throw money away on something that is sub-par.
  5. I have a netbook, and did consider using it (tethered to my phone) for GPS, or getting a standalone GPS/NAV application for it, and just use that.. Considered Microsoft Streets and Trips ($75 with GPS dongle) and a couple other commercial apps (CoPilot 8, etc) but haven't made a decision.. --- Update to the previous post... gloShift gauge? which is the top one? As f or TomTom, I've considered that as well. I've just not had much luck with the Garmins in the past few years, and I'm tired of buying new ones. This last one (1350) is now taking forever to boot, and usually about 5 minutes to get signal and decide to display the map..
  6. I use mine 99% business deliveries and a lot of places are non-repeats (new customers) and residential. I rely on it heavily, to be honest. Turn by turn voice isn't important to me, as I cant usually hear it in the truck anyway, but I do watch the mapping and such.
  7. 30 is the absolute best i can reach with my stock injectors and boost elbow.. and it's usually a "touch 30 then back to 28" kinda thing. Towing included. My 12V with 3K gsk and #10 fuel plate was another story. 40-45psi was quite easy.. and too high, obviously.
  8. So, I'd love to upgrade my radio to a NAV version, but I'm not trying to spend $1000 to do it.In the past 3 yrs, I've went through 2 Garmins (a Nuvi an a 1350T). so I tried using my Sprint phone with Navigation. It worked fine for a short period of time. Now the GPS antenna in the EVO 4G is flaking out and will cycle itself, dropping GPS signal when you need it most. So that's worthless, not to mention, a 3" screen is hard to see, especially factor in the vibrating around in the rough-riding truck..What do you guys use/do for GPS in the 2gen trucks?
  9. as does mine.. and she's generally a smartass :)God love her!
  10. Did you get it as a kit? Where? Thanks.
  11. Ive done it a bunch of times, but not within the past 3-4 yrs. I kept our old stove when we got a new one, and just put the old one in the garage. It's since died, and been hauled off, not yet replaced.Wife would have my nutsack if I was to try it in the 'new' one..
  12. I read, back when I was searching tow mirrors, that some people flipped the mounting bolts around. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I use mine for lining up the 6" drop hitch to the trailer. Aside from that, I never use it. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Thanks, guys.. http://www.harborfreight.com/lightweight-aluminum-motorcycle-lift-94715.html is the actual lift. I never thought about finding the product manual; good call! At any rate, I now know how to change the fluid, bleed it, etc.. and know what all those odd-balled screws are ;)
  15. You've probably reached the fueling limit of the injectors. Same as me. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Nope, I don't have a manual, and I don't know wtf I'm doing. All I can say is that it works when it wants, and that's not good enough. Its a Central Hydraulics motorcycle Jack. It doesn't leak, and it appears to be full of fluid. However, I don't know what all these are for: Left side, no idea. Allen plug pukes oil when I open it. Right flat tip screw thingy when you take it out has a flat tip screw adjuster inside. Any help? Sometimes the Jack works full stroke pump. Sometimes, partial stroke. Sometimes it doesn't hardly move. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Cool deal John. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
