  1. thanks, fire. I'm gonna have to figure out something, I suppose.. Otherwise, it's gonna be a lot of cash for a little hardware..
  2. I pull 9000 lb trailer over a 6% grade mountain fairly regularly. 5th gear (nv5600) 55mph up, maintaining that speed ticks around 1150-1180, sometimes 1200-1230*F if I have a head wind.24valve, Edge Juice on 2, 24psi up the hill. Coolant temps usually climb to just over 200-205.Cruising 68mph, 6th, empty, flat ground(ish), 6psi, 880-910*F.Cruising 65mph, 6th, loaded, flat ground(ish), 8-12psi, 950-1125*F.
  3. That would defeat my purpose then. I'm trying to gain 2wd low, without buying a frigging 200$ bicycle cable actuator. Sent from my rooted EVO's tiny keyboard with my opposable thumbs...
  4. so I dropped my tank this evening, and checked out why my gauge quit working.. I found out.. the float had worn out so much that the small retaining washer slid through the hole in the actual float, allowing it to completely leave the arm, and float adrift within the tank. I had to jerry-rig it on, and it's now reading... just not sure of it's true accuracy, due to the driveway mods to repair it.. LOL
  5. In the Chevy, I had Firestone bags. When the goose neck was loaded down, I'd run 20-30psi in the bags, and it rode level, and comfy. With trailer disco'd, I'd drop the bags to 10-15psi for a smooth ride.if you arent going the whole onboard compressor/tank setup, then T the lines, and put the schraeder valve inside the fuel door area.
  6. It's headed to an indie shop tomorrow morning. I'm out of ideas..
  7. Is "Rogan" that popular with spammers? LOL ;) e-hugs --- Update to the previous post... I'm IN!!! w00t! lol (apparently, it was my screenname, which I was trying to use the same one as here.. no-go.)
  8. 9. I've tried so many times, I've memorized the different Captcha options there. And I can do basic addition, as well
  10. I agree. But I'm not getting it wrong every time I try. I've even stumped the ramforum guys with it, including screenshots of the registration response fields I filled out. It's not rocket science filling these things out ;)
  11. I'll be doing airbags this year. Had them on a 94 CCDRW chevy, years ago. I loved the ride. Made the 1T ride like a Monte Carlo ;) Drug a 40ft gooseneck race car trailer with it, and it was awesome. My QCSB has no overloads, or bags. My current 25ft enclosed tag trailer squats the hell out of my truck. Was even worse on my '96 SCLB. Current truck already rides like a buckboard wagon.. the rear is squatted about 2+" or better...
  12. don't even get me started on the registration woes LOL I've prolly tried 20 times over the past few days. I always get the same conclusion:
  13. What did you end up doing with your trans? As for gear oils, I researched this heavily, a few yrs ago, when I swapped my '96 47RE for a NV4500. I had to rebuild the trans shortly after that, and it wasn't hard at all. I'd never rebuilt a manual, prior to that. Fluid-wise, you can use Royal Purple SynchroMesh and SynchroMax in the 4500/5600s. Let me check my notes and I'll let you all know which goes in what trans. ----EDIT---- Dodge Trucks NV4500, 1994 & newer (GL-4: 75W85) Max-Gear 75W90 Dodge Trucks NV1500, NV3500 & NV5600, 1994 & newer (MS9224 / PN04874464) Synchromax
  14. Welcome to my world... :banghead: --- Update to the previous post... the current consensus from AAMCO and an indie shop is "We can rebuild it, for $2500-2700.. " I'm sure they can. But, I don't think it's a situation requiring that drastic of a measure. Hell, I can buy another trans and install it myself, for $1100-1200. but again, i dont think it's that major of a problem. It's just illusive and confusing.. where is that checkvalve located?
  15. rebuilt. Installed 9/9/09, ~35k miles on it. started acting up about a month ago.
  16. Thanks for the pic. So I changed fluid and filter. Seems worse. Now it has difficulty engaging 2-3 shift, and every stop/start feels like it isn't engaging gear for a few seconds. Sent from my rooted EVO's tiny keyboard with my opposable thumbs...
  17. Pic of said checkvalve? Ill do a pan drop with filter and fill.As for ram forum, I tried registering, but got an immediate denial of account, upon submitting registration. Sent from my rooted EVO's tiny keyboard with my opposable thumbs...
  18. I'll check this evening.. Not sure what it looks like.. I believe that is what I used. sure thing! And they are greatly appreciated.
  19. I forgot to add this latest 'diagnostic update'. It appears to ONLY do it when it's cold. Once the trans is at or close to operating temp, in no longer acts up; it functions as intended.I'm beginning to think it's a drain-back issue, now. Your thoughts?
  20. no switch. Using conventional trans fluid when I installed the trans.
  21. I called Edge on monday, concerning my fuel pressure readings on the Attitude.. They said "replace the sender." I told them I'd already done that, and got the same reading. Hooked my Autometer FP gauge to both senders and get readings (albeit low), so it's not a sender issue. so, they said send in unit, harness, and sender, oh: and $150, and they'll fix it... I'm putting my autometer gauge and calling it done. Oh, and the Edge doesn't read my oil pressure, either... Says ZERO, when the dash gauge shows 35-40psi.
