  1. Sparky, yes it can be done, and fairly easily.. The main deal is, do you already have power door locks? If so, a basic RKE system is about 30 minutes to wire.. IGN 12V GND PARK LT LOCK UNLOCK The OE doorlocks are 5-wire reversing polarity. Most aftermarket KE systems are negative or positive trigger for L/U signals. A 5wire requires the use of 2 SPDT relays, if the KE doesn't have built-in relays. so you'd wire it as so:
  2. I might have to follow suit and swap cushions..
  3. Played a few matches with stodg73 last night, on BlackOps. We had a good time and didn't go to jail!
  4. awesome job on the dismantle. I did my 4500 a year or so ago, and it wasn't nearly as hateful as others had made it out to be.:rolleyes:I, too, went with the Q4x4 parts. More expensive, for sure, but they're the only only ones that really seemed to explain 'why' their part was superior.Remember this trick when reassembling and putting the bearings back on the rear shafts:put the bearings in the freezer for about 45-60mins prior to assembling. They'll slip right on without having to drive them down.
  5. +1 to ELKs statements. I, too, run the steel ones, w/stock shocks.36s ain't gonna fit, though.
  6. That's a possibility..
  7. I don't think the factory gauges are truly linear. But if I were to guess, I'd guess around 60-65?My OP sender is stuck at ~40-45. I need to replace it, but I can buy an aftermarket gauge set cheaper than the OE sender itself...
  8. at first, I was a little concerned with going to such a skinny tire, but now thaat I've stared at them for a few days, I really like it. It's totally 180* from all my past MT tire purchases (34/12.50, 38.5/15s, etc..)
  9. We don't give credit around here. It's all cash-n-carry.. No, wait, that's a different forum I'm thinking of...
  10. Yeah, we'll see. My 9000lb tag trailer oughta test their wear rating LOL
  11. I do have pictures, actually. I understand the larger wheel diameters not being covered. I, personally, don't have any of the larger wheel sizes, so I tend to overlook that, sorry. BTW, my price was $577 delivered, for a set. It took them 2 days to get here. I ordered from a place called www.tiresavings.com. In a quick research session, this place has poor reviews. I sent them an email, and got a response from a gentleman named Barry. Within a few email exchanges (to which he was quick to respond), I ordered the tires last Thursday evening. This past Tuesday morning, they were dropped off in my driveway by UPS. Personally, I can say that the 235/85s, although quite an aggressive tread pattern, have very little road howl. I have them currently aired to 60psi, but will soon bump that to 75-80psi, once I start hauling the trailer regularly.
  12. So, I just bought some of these uncommon tires.. Thought I'd share some info on them. Review of the Federal Couragia M/T Tires The Federal Couragia MT tires are a good tire for the money if you are in the market for a semi aggressive tread design that offers above average traction in various conditions offroad will still maintaining a mostly quiet ride on the paved roads. The tread design offers good mud traction with the a combination of large, stepped and siped lugs spaced out by voids large enough to assist with the self cleaning of mud and debris. Aired down the 3-ply sidewalls flex good. Incorporated into the sidewalls are protected by a extra rubber compound on across it's sidewalls. In snow and sand this tire does a little better than average when compare to other mud terrain tires. Highway manners are better than expected from a mud tire with less than moderate noise level and with the assistance of sipes in the lugs has better traction on wet or icy roads than other MT tires without the benefits of sipes. Tread life is better than average. Cost is on the low side of mud terrain tires. Features Large aggressive shoulder lugs. Strong protection block on upper shoulder for exceptional bruise, impact, cut resistance and protection from other off-road hazards Uniquely designed incremental block edge improves clearance of dirt and sand for constant performance Uniquely designed radius of sub-grooves enhances off-road performance SRG (Sloped Radius Gradient) block design increases block stiffness, enhances performance, and delivers serious off-road traction Bar at bottom of groove clears mud and rock particles and provide ultimate off-road traction Deep shoulder lugs and sophisticated central blocks fulfill the most demanding requirements of off-road grip and steering control when used for on-road applications Specially formulated advanced tread compound resists cuts, chips and abrasions for long life and even wear Size availability: [U][B]Size P.R. 13. that's an interesting way to haul wood, I must say
  14. I filled up yesterday morning.. $3.89 @ 23.6 gal. Across the street, they now have biodiesel pump @ ten cents/gal more..Oddly, this tank is the same tank I started on, when I drove to Williamsburg, VA (430mi r/t).I ended up with 498mi, divided by 23.6 = 21.1MPG = WHAT???Never ever ever never have I gotten above 17-18mpg on a tank. Ever. (in this truck, anyway).
  15. Day2: I REALLY.. REALLY.. like these tires.
  16. Added you didn't recognize who the gamertag was at first Jmono, that sucks.. I've actually got a brand new Xbox 360 Arcade (4GB version) that is unopened, I'm about to sell. i bought it to fix an ailing unit, that turned out to be my router's problem, instead. The new one has been sitting in the dining room for about 2 weeks now.
  17. That's how I roll.
  18. thats awesome!
  19. If you do, hit me up. I usually play after 7pm Eastern, until 11p-12a sometimes.. but not every night. most, but not every. It's my "wind-down" time, believe it or not. Once the wife and kids go to bed, I fire it up. I only really play: [*]Call of Duty: World At War 1.16:1 KDR [*]Call of Duty: Black Ops 1.04:1 KDR [*]Battlefield2: Bad Company 2 4.47:1 KDR (I'm a snipin' mofo in this one..) [*]and other military oriented FPS shooters. gamertag: rogan68
  20. youre such a hardass, russ :lmao:I love it!
  21. a long time ago (not really, about 11 months ago) me and a buddy of mine were setting the timing in my 12v.. we pulled #1 injector out, and decided to use a long allen socket (Snap On, 5mm x 5" long) down through the injector hole to help find TDC (the tdc plunger was stuck and couldn't get it to work.. Like this: Low and behold, turning the engine with the barring tool all of a sudden got hard to do. I asked him "is this right?" "Yeah, just turn it.. Here." and he grabs ahold of the ratchet.. 1/4 turn of the ratchet and we here a faint 'tick'... You guessed it. broke about 1" of the end off of that allen socket.. We spent hours trying to get that 5mm diameter piece out through the 7mm injector hole.. But we did it.. ended up taking a pocket pen magnet, breaking it, and electrical taping it to the end of a coat hanger, and patiently fishing it out.. Only took about 300,000 tries.. I blame it on 20*F temps, and the snow falling on us
