The 2nd Gen Rejuvenate (Stock +)
I would have to change my name if chicken jokes offended me. Then where would I be when I tell folks to laugh at themselves. Very similar to what I was thinking.

The 2nd Gen Rejuvenate (Stock +)
I have been thinking about the same thing. I have some aluminum step tread, thought l would put a 15* or so bend in it and use some u bolts and spacers to hold it there along the tranny. Guess I better get some leather, I thought you just used it on the upholstery. No wonder my seats feel strange.

OIL LEAK FOUND Need help
The port I used can be used for a mechanical oil pressure gauge so it would be under pressure. Maybe your vacuum pump needs to be resealed or your oil pan is leaking. The way the air blows around under there its not always easy to see where its comi g from. FYI, it's the ECM on the block, PCM is on the firewall.

Everyone post a picture of your truck!
Looking real good. Maybe I will see it while driving thru on 81. I go thru there twice a week to and from work.

3,000 HP?! When is it enough?
I have been looking. Actually found one a while back, a 2nd gen 1500. The clear coat was gone but the body was straight. It was mechanically sound and nothing was leaking any where under the truck. Got the guy down to $2k and asked if he had the title. No problem all we got to do is sign it over. Went to a notary to do that and as we are standing in line I get a look at the title and I notice the first name on it is Doris. Well he did not look like a Doris to me and needless to say the title was not in his name. Dont have a clue as to what he was thinking about how to get it in my name and the notary just laughed at him.

1998 Dodge ram 3500 turbo diesel 24 valve
The 1693 is just telling you there is code stored in one of the computers and is not needed for diagnosis. The other 2 are no bus messages which is a little over my head. You can look them up in the articles section here. I am having a hard linking them but they are in the articles section, 2nd gen, engine, then OBDII error codes.

OIL LEAK FOUND Need help
I connected an oil pressure switch in that general location a long time. It was a threaded hole with a plug in it. But as I remember the hole was horizontal and not vertical like shown in the picture. It does look like something was installed there at one time. Is that your engine in the picture? I would also think that if it Is the same as I used it leak like a flood since the hole was under pressure.

3,000 HP?! When is it enough?
Me being on the road all the time is my biggest enemy. I need to give my truck some attention that takes more than day or get a spare truck.

Idle mode PID?
Most definitely will. Had the Timbo on mine long before the Banks EB.

ECM failure or wiring issue?
Good to hear you found the issue. I think we like to call it thread enhancement rather than jacking. A lot of natural curiosity around here. No offense meant nor taken. Now to

1998 Dodge ram 3500 turbo diesel 24 valve
First off welcome to the forum. Second, is your truck bone stock? Third, any trouble codes? If you dont have an obdIi scanner most auto parts places have them to loan. The codes are going to help point us in the right direction.

ECM failure or wiring issue?
They should unless you turn the passenger side off.

To replace my VP44 or no to
My truck likes the bio diesel blends. I know alot of you don't trust it but my trucks runs and performs on it well. I have been using for 4+ years with no problems. I just wish they would label the pumps better so you knew what you are getting. The pumps on my trips to Maryland state 5% to 20%. 5% and below dosn't require any label.

To replace my VP44 or no to
Nothing like peace of mind. I changed my last one for the same reason but it had seen a lot of low fuel pressure and a failed lift pump.

ECM failure or wiring issue?
Mine was stuck on for a long time. Put the new.to me seats in and it went off. I believe the air bags will go off no matter what unless you turn off the passanger side switch then it want go off.
