  1. That is a good bit different than mine. Mine runs off of engine vacuum and is twice as big as your actuator. If I know Banks that means mine should cost twice as much!!
  2. I have a Banks brake on mine with the same problem. Me, I would spend the $140 for a new actuator. I dont know that the Banks is any better or worse than the others out there since I do not know anyone close enough by to compare. Mine worked fine up until the day it just quit. Been in for about 6 or 7 years I believe.
  3. The beautiful thing is I can sit in that seat for 5 hours again without having to shift my arse around every 15 minutes to stay comfortable.
  4. I am to use the article by @W-T posted 2 posts back to for the main computer grounds. It is definitely worth the read. Then I will open up the splice for the sensor grounds, see what it looks like and repair as necessary. Our issues are very much alike.
  5. I cured my seats with these. $125 off of CL. still needs a new drivers foam but no holes. Lucky find.
  6. I know in my instance I believe the problem lies in the sensor ground splice buried in the engine wiring harness, though it could be both. I was able to stop the 237 code and then eventually stop the low power issue completely, though not permanently, by manipulating that part of the engine wiring harness mostly by just having my hands in there. But this last time I did it purposely and it all stopped. The truck runs fine again. I am going to do the main computer grounds tomorrow weather permitting. I will tackle the sensor grounds soon I hope. This sure sounds like the OP issue.
  7. With the little bit bigger tire and higher geared 2nd OD gear it might not be much different than my 2nd gen. Better yet go test drive one and see for yourself.
  8. Is your acceleration quite slow like 50% power or less? I have been struggling with a similar issue, though not constant but the same 237 code.
  9. AAhhhh!! The smell of brake cleaner in the morning.
  10. As respected as @Dynamic is around here, his vouching for Firepunk would be good enough for me if I had a auto.
  11. How about some more info on your truck. Go to your profile and fill in your signature with your truck info. It will appear on every post you make and help with diagnosing issues. By all means if you have codes post them. The only thing the trubo needs to spool is for the engine to burn fuel and plenty of air.
  12. Boost leaks in the intake system or a stuck open waste gate maybe.
  13. Ahhh, I was not thinking about the alternator, only the battery. I have the military connectors with a 3/8" bolt. I will do a little looking as to what I can find. I like recycling old stuff if usable.
  14. At this rate maybe it is a figment of you imagination!!! You ordered it in a dream.
  15. Can this be heavier gauge wire? I have my old battery cables and was thinking about using the old aux battery ground wire providing it is good shape and not corroded. It is a good bit bigger than the #4. How much bigger I dont know.
  16. The freeze plug on the back of the block comes mind. Might have lost it.
  17. If everything working right just clear it and see if it comes back.
  18. What more can you say to that. What you show in the pictures could be done on wet ground or not. HMMMMM!!! Still would like to address the sensor grounds too but that requires laying under the truck on dreary day. Thanks
  19. Maybe I should not complain. It is supposed snow in Maryland Saturday. 5 to 8 inches. Man its April, winter does not want to let go out this way, This global warming is freezing me out.
  20. I guess you missed the memo. NO RAIN WHILE CHICKEN MAN IS HOME!!!please.
  21. So I assume we meant tappet instead rapper? And to think I thought I solved my problem.
  22. My son WRAPS vehicles and most anything else anyone pays him to do if that counts.
  23. You mean my truck has rapper in it somewhere? No wonder it's been acting up.
  24. Just an outside opinion here, but if I was looking at buying a truck and I see brand new things in areas know to rust I would be a little suspicious of said brand new things.
