  1. I have to assume the problem goes away after you fill it up?
  2. same here with fass coolers also. You might want to take a look at this. Might give you some idea of what you are getting into. NV5600.pdf
  3. $2500 8 years ago with 52k on it according to the folks I bought it from.
  4. Have you checked for codes when it happens? It does seem strange.
  5. It's amazing how that job can grow. It is best to do it once while you have it out. Hard parts like gears and shafts can make it pricey. The bearing, synchro, seals, and misc kit are running around $300 with a quick google search.
  6. A lot of that is going to depend on how much work you need or want to do to head once it is off.
  7. Worth if you stay fairly stock, I would say no if plan to stay that way. South bend makes a great clutch but my oe held up just fine with even with a mild tuner on it. Did some heavy towing with it also. Not alot just moving the 5th wheel from job to job. I would think SB make a lighter duty clutch but never looked for one.The oe clutch lasted 250k in mine.
  8. It does not read everything and the sample rates are slow. It also reads and clears trouble codes. It is pricey compared to what Mike uses. His uses the ODB port transmits info to an Android device I believe. It's alot cheaper and better.
  9. I see mine on the scan gauge II. Connects thru the obd port. The ones like @Mopar1973Man and many others have are better cheaper. I will let Mike explain that one since I am to cheap to buy one yet.
  10. Just Google tire calculator and take your pick.
  11. I would think the bigger block would have been oe since it appears to be the same height as the 2 blocks on mine. Pure speculation on my part.
  12. I have the Banks big head on mine. Came in a stinger plus package i put on back in 05. There is alot more to it than just shoving more air into the motor. We have a few members here that are into the performance side more than I am and better qualified to give you advise on this. I am sure they will be along here soon. There is a balance in all this to obtain what you are after. We here are all about NOT rolling coal. Good clean power is what we want.
  13. In thought you meant the silver truck only had the small block between the axle and the spring which made me think it was possibly a 2wd. Not speaking of engine blocks.
  14. In have an after market waste gate that opens around 33 to 35 pounds. The stock waste gate opens around 20 pounds like your white truck is doing.
  15. It is not hard to do and only requires a good volt meter.
  16. When you said above that one of your 99s only had the small block it made me wonder. The 2wd sit much lower than the 4Xs.
  17. A complete injector comes with the nozzles. Just install them and go. Boost pressure will vary from turbo to turbo and wastemgated or not. It is. Or just about how much pressure you can build. The stock turbo is good to about 33 to 35 lbs. Anything over is not beneficial, but at this point I would have to defer to those more knowledgeable on this subject to explain.
  18. That's something I don't like about leveled trucks. It does not take much to make them look squatted. I put my 5th wheel on mine and the truck sits level. How about traction BARS? Are both of your trucks 4X4?
  19. It has definitely been leveled in the front. My rear blocks are 5" tall from the factory just t give you an idea of stock. Not sure how much they vary from year to year. 9
  20. They have changed over the years. Mine is an 02 2500 with the over load spring on top. My 96 had a different spring pack with no overloads. Nothing wrong with either set up.
  21. Mine are factory, I dare say yours are too.
  22. Do the blocks look any thing like this?
