  1. As far as tire sizes go, Discount Tire always considers the stock size as 245's. Our trucks are listed stock with 245's. Hence the door sticker. The 265's that came on mine were listed as an option on the window sticker and I am sure I paid something extra for them.
  2. You have to pull the TC and flex plate.
  3. Sounds like it all worked a lot better than it could have. And I agree on the exhaust. One of my favorite mods.
  4. I would not appreciate them being upset with me since it was their mistake, especially if called THEM and made them aware of it. But none the less I would return it.
  5. Hey!! Be nice some of us slow. I know I am.
  6. How about your tappett cover. They can leak and oil will show up all over from the air blowing around under the hood. My rear main is leaking, comes out right where the bell housing meets the tranny. Only place it can come out. I just resealed my vacuum pump, never heard it whine. Not saying it isn't possible.
  7. I like when someone tells you it is impossible and you are standing there with your hand on the impossibility. That kind of thinking is good for flushing money down the toilet.
  8. If the boost elbow failed and let full pressure to the waste gate it would open a lot sooner. That would be your leak going down the tail pipe. Thats why @Mopar1973Man suggested pinching the air line to it. Cut the air pressure to it and it wont open.
  9. Wouldn't normally see much 20* weather back home. But it gets a bit colder in Maryland. Nothing like a lot of you folks see but much colder than I like.
  10. I have a Banks. I worked great for 7 years but something in the actuator let go about 2 months back. Bought it because it bolted on to the Banks package I put on 11 years ago. Easy to install and worked great for 7 years.
  11. I would have to stick with the rear main seal leaking. Is the whining a new noise? Next time you pull that hill and it starts whining left of the throttle and see if it stops. If it does you are hearing the turbo spool.
  12. Not looking forward to any of that this winter. Most of my concrete is going to be poured in the dead of winter. What a pain.
  13. Rear main seal leaking maybe. Tranny whining. Are you sure it is oil and not tranny fluid?
  14. The nirvana I experienced never involved that plug. Mine was engine surging. Seemed to go away almost every time I disconnected the batteries. It finally went away after messing with the map sensor. Surging is still gone but new issues with the map. Think mine is wiring related and never considered that plug. Probably ought to just to eliminate it.
  15. I have read many threads of people thinking they have over tightened and stripped theirs, but it would appear to me it is by design. Mine is the same way. I have some electrical gremlins my self, different from yours though, but have experienced the temporary nirvana you have gone thru.
  16. AC voltage is what I was speaking of. Mine was fine one day and the next it all went whacky just like yours. I could not believe that all my sensor and what have you all went bad at once either. I was pretty sure it was the ECM. But since I am a member of the electronically challenged club I could not be sure. I did some diagnostics and every thing I did said this or that sensor was bad, the instrument cluster failed, and not sure what else, it has been 8 years or more. I swapped in a couple of the less expensive sensors and an instrument cluster I got at a junk yard to no avail. An ECM is what fixed mine. With that being said I would listen to what some others have to say. It is easy for me to spend your money and I dont want to lead you down the wrong path. I spent 2 months trying to figure mine out before I pulled the trigger. I am not sure anyone even here can or will say it is definitely the ECM. I did everything I could to avoid the dealer due to the cost. Not even sure you can get one from them anymore. You could call some and see if they can diagnose the ECM or not. A step I wish I had taken.
  17. Mine ECM went with the same symptoms and no 606 code. Many high and low volt codes, engine surging while out of the cab, temp gauge would sometimes peg from cold start in seconds and other anomalies. Have you checked for AC voltage out of your aternator?
  18. The idling thing bugged me a first but never affected how the truck ran so I just quit thinking about it. Seems a lot of these trucks have their own personality. The stalling thing would definitely bother me. I cant offer anything more than has been said on that one.
  19. When new my truck idled around 850. When I put the RV 275's in it idled around 800. When I replaced those with DAP 50's the idle went back to about 850. My thought is that idle does not have an exact rpm. It varies on what you have done to modify the engine. Definitely not the expert though.

Very easy to do. The only thing I was not sure of since I did check it during removal is that the the coupler just floats in the housing util you connect the pump housing is rejoined. Other than that a piece of cake.
  21. I would have to agree. If they tell you to keep them then you can dispose of them any way you wish and have a clear conscience to boot. I will say if they want you to send them back at your expense I would not. There;s yes.
  22. My dad joined in 42 not long after Pearl Harbor. 6' 5" and weighed 145 pounds. I took my physical in 71 and I weighed 155 at 6' 4". I was rail he was stick. My lottery number was 2 but Nixon ended the draft and did not go. I am sorry to hear about your father. I cant imagine knowing mine and then having to grow up without him. It is a hell of price to pay.
  23. 2That is good stuff. My father USMC, brother US army, son USAF, grand sons US Army. Appreciate your service and theirs which is on going. @JAG1 my seats look that good along with the dash but that"s it. And to @Cronus577 may your future be bright. Thanks for you service.
