  1. A tranny and a truck to put it in.
  2. Even if you want to swap back to a 190 it is easy to do with only the loss of a cup or so of coolant. Just take the housing off and fold the radiator hose back. Takes 5 minutes to do.
  3. Can you share the ECM rebuilder's name?
  4. Looks like it is cracked by the one bolt hole.
  5. I put one on from parts store about around 260k ago. Don't remember which one. Just used whatever was on their shelf. I just replaced it when I did front seal a gear case reseal. Looked like it was just starting to weep so just replaced it. The replacement last as long as the oe.
  6. I have to agree on the sucking. Curious about the pilot bearing myself.
  7. I towed with mine in 6th regularly in the flat lands and even on slight grades 2% or so and less as long as it would hold speed at near 50% throttle. Anything more than that I would go to 5th. I did adjust some after getting the trans temp gauge and seeing the temps but not a lot.
  8. Even I knew better than welding the system together. On top of that I have no welder nor the experience to do it. But I sure clamped it hard. Taking it back apart was not on the mind at the time. That is definitely another method but got to me a pain like you describe. I have been over to FTE's site a few times looking at the resonator and saw the band clamps there. Wish I had known of those a long time ago.
  9. @Mopar1973Manand @Wild and Free what were you two 11 years ago when I was crush welding my new exhausr system on with you bolts? A sawzall is about the only tool I can take mine apart with now.
  10. As thrilled as he looks in those pictures he might not want to go fishing.
  11. I have seen mine that low pretty regular until I resealed the vacuum pump.
  12. I had worn out both of my seat bottoms and the drivers seat back. Caught myself hunching over in the seat a lot more lately. Finally noticed it was just me fitting in the seat. Any way I will need a door soon myself, mines rusting pretty good from the inside out. Hope I get luck on that like you did.
  13. My kind of deal. I just found a set seats with no holes in the upholstery for $125 on craigs list a couple months ago.
  14. I have run a lot of bio thru mine over the past several years with no apparent harm to anything. That is at a 20% or less. At 5% or less the seller is not required to tell you. Most of the pumps I see labeled down claim 5% to 20%. Not sure what I am getting then. The truck seems to like it. I might see a little more water in my separator than I did with #2 diesel. Fuel filters last just as long. Just not seeing enough difference to matter to me. One day I will open the tank up and see what it looks like.
  15. I agree with Mike on this. Good temp solution but not a permanent solution by any means.
  16. Definitely not 2/0. Mine is now. Bought all 2/0 to make the install simple for me. Measure the cable and deduct for the insulation. In other word make an educated guess.
  17. Diesel fuel. It kept it floating in there all these years. Unless it is ridiculously filled with crap or caked on the walls of the tank I would not worry about it. That is why you have a filter or filters. Can you get a photo of it?
  18. Just another mans opinion here. When I put my AD on at near 250k my tank was clean. Did see a little stuff floating in there but not enough to fill up a teaspoon. Dont get me wrong I like the extra filtration but what little crap I saw spoke well for the stock filter. But after another 200k who knows. Jerking my tank off the truck right now just aint on the to do list. Got bigger fish to fry that that.
  19. I just replaced all of mine with the military style connectors and 2/0 welding cable. That is bigger that stock but how much I dont know. Bought everything on line for less than $100 except the terminals. It is cheaper that way though you will end up with some extra ring terminals. Not a bad thing to have laying around the shop though. Just Google welding or battery cables and you will find what you need. One day I will be as good as @Mopar1973Man and never wear anything out but I will have to buy another truck and start over. But one way or the other I will beat him back from the MOON. Ahh ha haaaaa!!!!
  20. I had to replace the windshield in my 96 myself and it cost me just over 500 bucks. Replaced in my 02 with insurance and I paid 100 bucks. The bill to insurance was only 180 bucks. Insurance companies get a better deal than the common man.
  21. I guess i missed the part of smelling it inside and out. I know when mine was leaking, only smelled occasionally, it never fogged the windshield. Not saying they are wrong, just saying. My leak was small plus I had to go in there anyway.
  22. There is panel, knee bolster, that is on the dash under the the steering wheel. Three or four screws at the bottom hold it in place. Take those out and the top is just pulls away off of some prongs holding it in. That is where the ground is though I don't know the exact location. I guess I should read all the posts. Did not see them and it would appear I was leading you astray.
  23. The two filters are enough. Not sure what Vulcan sends for the AD filters to pass an opinion on. I will say changing the filters every 6k miles is excessive. I normally keep an eye on fuel pressure and when it starts to decrease I will change them. And sometimes I have done at a 30k interval. The filters should be good at least that long unless you do get some really dirty fuel then who knows.just another reason to keep an eye on the pressure. I did loose a pump a few years back and changed the filters to make sure they were not causing the problem and they were not.
  24. All I get is a sound bite when I open either one. No video
