Elec./ Computer... lingering problem

Front oil seal
It could be either the way oil gets blown around the engine bay. Mine were both leaking. Tappet cover leaking will blow all around also. It is not difficult even pulling the bumper, radiator and intercooler. A little time consuming, I spent 3 days working on it on and off. I probably could have cut it to a day a half easy just sticking with it. Getting the seal to start gave me the most problem. As far as cleaning goes, I used degreaser and a small pressure washer, 1600 psi, got it on sale at Harbor Freight for about $70.

trailer weight's.
The GCWR has gone up over the years. The new ones are rated around 30k if I am not mistaken. I think ours a rated as much for weight you can safely stop also. It is not just a matter of what the individual components are capable of carrying.

SOS Lonely P1693 code with no friends. Where to begin looking?
clear. sorry about that.

trailer weight's.
Your combined weight is not on the door. That just gives you axle weights and total weight with the truck and payload only. The owners manual will give what you are looking for. My 02 list the combined weight rating at 20k pounds with a manual tranny. The auto is only listed for 16k pounds. You cannot get the combined weight rating off of the door and I am not sure what truck you are asking about. The newer years have different weight ratings.Based on my 02 you are 100 pounds over weight. I haul my trailer at 3000 pounds over weight for an example. 23k combined.

New APPS, reset now P0222 error?
I while back I had some surging issues with Apps codes. One thing I did was buy a cheap apps off of Ebay, $16 worth of cheap. It did stop the surging and the codes I was getting disappeared. I did however end up with a 222 code that would not go away. It worked fine and the surging was gone. Put a new Timbo on and the surging came back. As the president of the electronically challenged members here, I have no idea as to how any of this works, just thought I would throw this in. I also in no way feel the Timbo had anything to do with it. It is a good product and the one my truck has been in for over 200k. pretty sure my issue is in the wiring.

rear axle spacer blocks
The blocks on my 02 are 4 3/4". Unless yours are different I dont think the 4" will make much difference. Mine do appear to be 2 on each side. Maybe one can be removed, dont know. Just a personal opinion here but if it is towing good and and does not appear to be putting too much weight on the rear trailer axle, I would probably live with it. Just be aware of going over any large humps where the truck will be going down hill while the trailer is going up hill. With my first 5th wheel I had just such an occurrence 2 days after buying my truck. Crossed a 4 lane highway between 2 islands. For some reason there was a large hump there probably 1 foot high or more and one lane wide. I crunched the left rear corner of the bed. That trailer may have been nose up a couple inches at the most IIRC, I am sure you are aware of that as I believe you already mentioned it.

Tyler's 4th Gen
I heard the DEF rumor myself also. We'll see.

rear axle spacer blocks
Here is another picture. It rides mostly level. Goes down to the overloads and stops. It appears we have about the same space between the bed and trailer at the hitch but not at tailgate. If you lower the rear you might end up looking squatted while towing. I think I would agee with @01cummins4ever on trying to raise the trailer instead of lowering the truck.

Happy Thanksgiving
I do and I know how to use. I'll even wear my brand new safety vest so no one runs over me. Not the way to spend Thanksgiving @015point9. Hope it is an easy fix.

Track Bar
I am on my third one counting the oem. Both replacements were MOOG. Got a little over 100k out of the first one IIRC. I have about 35k on the latest.

rear axle spacer blocks
I did not have that problem with either one of mine. Slapped a hitch on and never looked back. This is the current one.
