  1. WTF did you multiply?
  2. This is the first leak I have had on mine also. The power steering and bake system is all OEM also. After 415k I cant complain. Mine is in need of a flush also. Thinking of replacing the power steering pump while I am in there, but I sure hate replacing a part that aint broke yet. I can feel @IBMobile staring at me right now.
  3. I bought one from them several years ago thinking it might be causing my engine to run cold. Still have it in box since the oe was fine and still is. Hayden IIRC.
  4. I do like the convenience of buying at the local parts house. In this case no one seems to stock it plus they all want $220 for one where as Rock Auto has the same ones for $150. Seal kit is a whole lot cheaper my only worry is something going wrong and now my truck has to sit. That's not good when I have to be back on the job in Maryland. Rental cars tend to blow the budget. Got a little time I hope since it is just a small drip at the moment. I had planned on resealing my vac pump over labor day, Might be a good time to do them both. I also thought about finding a core in a junk yard and just rebuilding it. The couple I found so far are $100 or so. That and a seal kit would take about what a reman cost.
  5. It appears my booster is leaking inside the truck. Just a drip but I saw on the floor mat today. Rebuilding it does not look that difficult. What have some of you folks done for yours?
  6. I had to go back and look at the diagram again and see what you are saying. The hub caps did have grease in them but I did manage to push the grease past the inner seal. Probably got carried away pumping in the grease and not understanding how the system works. I would have to take all the blame that.
  7. I would like to say I did but I bought 12 years ago and I dont remember. I will look at them when I get home a see if there is an outlet for the old grease to come out of. I just dont remember seeing it in the past.
  8. I would have to check on what brand they are. I don't remember seeing the grease come out on the hub side. The rv is parked right now and I have not messed with it for while. By instructions are you insinuating that mine came with them and I did not read them?
  9. I see a lot of different brands of these beads. Are they reasonably equal?
  10. That is exactly what happened with mine. Kept giving them a shot a grease until the grease blew past the seals on onto the brake drum then the brake shoes. Well greased brake shoes are no bueno.
  11. Good to know. I think I might try some of these myself. Still have a vibration around 68 to 72 that just does not want to go away.
  12. Chip definitely did NOT have one back when I spoke to him in 2011. Said he had 2 outside companies doing the builds for him. I dont know anything about the new owners. I bought their premium pump back in 09 i believe and have 199k on with no issues as of today, knock wood. It was the only one I could find back then that guaranteed a new PSG plus all the newer upgrades. $1700 at the time. sorry to here of your troubles. Does not seem to business like to wait for you to call to give the bad news.
  13. With that kind of rain they just float over the curb.
  14. I'll have you know it rained so hard the porta john floated and turned over.
  15. Appreciate the info. My pump has almost 200k on it. Hope holds out longer but you never know. It seems my turbo spools a little slower these days but maybe because it has over 400k on it and never been touched. Hopefully they both will take a little bit further. They both seem to be working fine for now. A quad is not in the picture for now either. I bought a Comp a few months before this magic tuner came out.
  16. If a turd floater is magnificent then yes we do. I watched once from inside a CFA I built in NW Tennessee. You could not see more that 5 to 7 feet out the window it was raining so hard. Stayed like that for 30 minutes and as it started slacking and we could see the parking lot again. Thats when I noticed my window was down. Took me a week to dry the seat out. Had to keep putting newspaper in seat to keep my butt dry.
  17. It could be in the wiring harness also. Going thru similar issues now and did put in a new MAP sensor in. That did clear up a lot of my smoke down to a haze but still having a issue with the ECM not seeing the MAP occasionally. Pretty sure the rest my issue is in the harness. You could pull the connectors and clean them up, connect and disconnect them a few times. Then put some dielectric grease on them.
  18. Yall do need some relief out that way. Sitting here in the SE in the middle of August and it is 84* out. We have seen more of this weather than the typical high 90's with alot of humidity. My yard is usually crunchy this time of year, but now it is thick and it takes a a lot sun dry it out so I can mow it.
  19. Just how difference does the SO pump make on the HO engine? I have read a little on it but know less than I have read.
  20. No expert here but if it is the timing case you have to pull the cam to replace it. I dont think the 12v are any different from the 24v on that one. Just my uneducated observation.
  21. Dont know about NAPA but Vulcan and I believe DAP both carry the sealing washers. Buy some spares they are not expensive.
  22. I dont know anything about CPP, but I do know warranty and someone honoring it is all you have.
  23. I ran mine for just over a year with the stock box and filter. Put a K&N in the stock box and it stayed there for the next 8 years. Joined here and read up on the K&N and the BHAF and decided to change. I based that on the info I saw at the time that the BHAF filtered and flowed better than the stock filter and box. So the BHAF has been in the truck for the past 7 years. The only trouble I ever had with any of them was the front diff vented gear oil on the BHAF outer wear and clogged it good. Took it of and never put it back. That was probably 5 or 6 years ago. After all that I dont see a change in my near future unless I see something on engine failures due to the filter. Not trying to argue over it, just my opinion.
  24. Cant say as I have heard that about the BHAF either.
  25. Never stripped one of the nuts but I did have one of the t's spin in the clamp while backing the nut off with the clamp in my hand. Thats when I noticed a couple of my clamps were in sad shape.
