  1. I have run Rotella 15-40 since new with a little Delo 400 LE thrown in lately. Filter wise everything from Fram(dont say it yall) to Fleetgaurd. Engine health seems to be good though I have done no testing. Might blow tomorrow for all I know. 372k miles.
  2. The warranty requires receipts for all new parts and flush fluid or a work order showing the flush was done. It is a 24 month or 24k mile warranty which equals about a year for me. That particular set does not come with the o rings but the do have a kit that has the o rings, sealing washers and such for $22. http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3290952&cc=1440064&jsn=10485&jsn=10485&jsn=10485 My old one never failed. After I replaced the evaporator I had some money issues and never got to complete the repair. I also misplaced the connectors and have since found them. Thats when I discovered the low pressure line had been rubbing and wore a hole in the line. I left every thing sealed up and pulled the relay on the clutch so it s been sitting like that for 3 years. Thats the reason I was thinking of new parts. Not sure what kind of shape anything is in now.
  3. I am equally as ignorant on this system and how they interact with each other.
  4. Mine has been out of service for a while and was thinking of this replacement. http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5245524&cc=1440064&jsn=10464&jsn=10464&jsn=10464. Not sure anything is wrong with my compressor but the line has a large hole worn into it. Either of you have any experience with the Four Seasons brand?
  5. That does leave a little bit of confusion. Mine system is going to be renewed soon so which way to go, 7oz and split the difference?
  6. Thought there was something wrong with the photo and then I realized the 2nd gen is on jack stands.
  7. Air in the return can cause hard start but should not cause a rough idle. Air in the supply side will cause a rough idle.
  8. Just another east coaster like yourself. We just talk a little funny down this way.
  9. Mike would be right. Hickory NC to be precise. A good bit south of you but still fairly close to a straight shot out there.
  10. What i hear is in the 1900 to 2000 rpm range and it mostly exhaust sound. I tend to hear from the rear of the truck and not thru the floor board. I am running a Banks with straight thru muffler and 5" tip.
  11. Its about 2500 one way for me. $800 or so in fuel and 5 or 6 hard days on the road. If i do make it, it will be in a silver tube hurtling thru the air. I figure a plane ticket and a rental car will be about the same. Not to mention the wear and tear on my backside.
  12. I am running a 4" with a 5" tip. I get some drone but empty I dont pay it any attention. Pulling the 5th wheel makes it worse but not unbearable. I am usually by myself when towing so I never have to talk over it so it might be worse than I think.
  13. You might have nicked one of the orings or one might have been bad. That is where I would expect it to be coming from.
  14. That is a great looking truck. I am going back to my old 2 gauge pod. I put a dash mount pod in just over a year ago and want to get the 3rd pod out of my eyes.
  15. Damn, Who let my brother out?
  16. Dont worry you will have plenty to tell. I have not run out yet with my grandchildren or my children. The world is changing very quickly. My parents were both born in 1922 and my grandparents were born in the 1880's. We all have stories to pass on its just the way it is. Example, the look on my kids faces when I told them I grew with out color tv and only had 3 channels. It was pretty insignificant to me but they were amazed. On top of that 80 to 90 years ago you would be living thru the great depression headed toward WWII.
  17. We grew up very similar to this. 2 jobs ago I used my antenna at the rv. I only 4 stations. One of those stations carried Andy Griffith show re runs. I got wee every B&W episode from the first to the last while I was there. I am proud to call myself a NC hillbilly. That is some funny stuff. Imagine if this had been a minority show and the furor it would have caused because they were making fun of this group. The group in question, the ones I grew up with. O you cant laugh at yourself you have a problem.
  18. I only disagree with on thing Notlimah, You would only have to back 30 to see what you want. The *** bishop thing I spoke of happened about 15 years ago. 25 years ago it was a big thing just to come out of the closet. It is only in the past decade that these minoritys are wanting the whole of society to change to their way of thinking or there is something wrong with you.
  19. Mine normally reads battery voltage with the key on. As far as water pump longevity, I replaced mine with one the normal parts house pumps about 110k miles ago with no issues as of yet. I would think 50k is a very short life.
  20. I very recently had my ABS, brake, and airbag light on with no codes and every thing worked fine. I had also noticed some stiffness in the ignition switch. Not every time but maybe 1 out 10 times. It turns out the switch was not returning completely to the run position after starting. My key was the one i had been using since the truck was new. On the times the lights stayed lit I had to turn the switch back to the run position and they would go out. I broke the other new key and started using it and it has not happened since. Might not be your issue just a personal experience for me. If a code has been set int he ABS module a regular code reader want do it. Like Mike says you will have to go to a dealer to get them read, though it is possible a shop would have one, but I would think they would be few and far between.
  21. Have you tried to read the codes? There is more than one reason for the ABS light to be on.
  22. You have led sheltered there JAG. I didn't know any one our age had not heard of the Rolling Stones. Like them or not they have been around almost as long as I can remember. He never was poster child for the "Just say no" campaign.
  23. JAG, do you you know who the other picture is of? Prince I can understand the other guy maybe not.
  24. The problem with one hole bathrooms is the shear number you would have to put. Current codes require x amount of holes per seat. A typical CFA seating 100 or so requires 2 each. Florida requires 4 each I believe. Some store on interstate exits require 4 each. So now you need 4 to 8 rooms. I thinks all a crock. If you gotta pee just go pee and shut up about it. I personally dont care what or who is peeing beside if thats all their doing. Stop your whining and pee!!!!! Like the sign IBMobile. As always you are keeping my artistic side satisfied.
  25. Have to agree with IB on this one. It does bring it closer when the one suffering is known, even just thru this forom. Good luck to you and all who are dealing with this.
