1. I dont have a part # but it should be the same as the VP banjo blot. I picked mine up at a cummins dealer. Vulcan performance or DAP ought tohave them too. I just went thru the same leak and both the bolt on the head and the tee were leaking. I picked up the orings for the tee and the same dealer.
2. Where is this tricky stretch of road?
3. I think it took me about 3 hours. Idid take off the injector lines and claean them up while I was in there. It was my first time so I did not hurry.
4. Glad to see it worked out for you. As long as you keep it under control it is not that bad. The ebrake is nice though.
5. I am seeing about the same numbers as Idaho. Yours dont seem out of line.
6. I stated that 0 psi IS NOT NORMAL unless as Katoom stated you have your truck set up that way. My truck starts at around 10 psi, half my idle pressure. It is controled by the ECM unless your truck has been set up differantly. Some folks do set theirs up that way. If yours is stock probably not. What kind of lift pump are you using?
7. 0 psi would not be normal, but we need more info on your truck. Is it stock, are ther any mods done. Go to the user cp and fill out your signature with all you know about your truck.
8. 101 and 70% here in Iowa. Back home in the SE we would kill for low humidity. It allways seems to be 100%.
9. What was the cost for this setup? The complete kit that you purchased.
10. I think the government is as much to blame for the banks with their everyone needs to own a home thing started under Clinton I beleive. So yes they must regulate many things in our lives, like it or not. I dont think the government is in my dr's office as of yet. But it does worry me they will be sometime in the future if we let them in. I cant argue with it being better to have everyone in the insurance pool, it does benefit all concerned. If health care cost keep rising as they have been, insurance cost cant do anything but go up to keep up. Even with every citizen covered the cost of the care just keeps rising and rising and in turn so does your premiums. I had my gall bladder removed about 5 years ago and ended up in an out of network hospital.(I should have done a better job on that). Any way it doubled my cost and the hospital was going to charge me near 40% more than they would have charged the insurance co. They did however let me pay the insurance co rate. The part I dont get is if I had walked in that hospital for the surgery with $100 bills in my hand, it would have cost me 40% more than going thru an insurance co. No claims to file, none of the BS to put up with, just plain old hard cash. Why should I have to pay more with cash than dealing with the insuranc co? The system needs a major tune up, there is just no rhyme or reason to it.
11. As for the border, I am to far away. As for my house and my Doctors office I have to agree!!!
12. Just goes to show what good care and maintenance will achieve.
13. Well I have got to sya something here. We in this country have needed health care reform for many decades. Obama care seems to me to be trying to control the cost of insurance. If we dont get control of the cost of health care, the cost of insurance is going to keep going up no matter what. Obama care and getting all the unisured to join in will increase the insurance pool but the cost of the care will soon out strip any andvantage that is brought to the table, and then it will start rising again. If the government is going to pick up the slack then taxes are going to go up to cover it. The last time I looked at taxes paid in Europe(maybe Canada, I dont know) their tax rate is higher than ours to help pay for it. I am willing to help take care of folks that genuinly need help. No one should have to do with out health care. But at what point do you draw the line. Someone has to pay for it and with the government involved it is all of us the pick up the tab. I just read an aricle in USA today that discussed the disparity in pricing for an MRI. the prices ranged from $250 to $2500, depending your insurance or whether you are poor, but have cash. There has to be some kind of happy medium on prices for care to help get that aspect under control. Take Lasik eye care for an example. When first brought on the market it was near $3k per eye. Most insurance does not cover this procedure, so it is in a market based service. It now only cost $250 to $300 an eye. This should appply to almost any thing, IMHO. I think tort reform and let the insurance companies cross state lines to sell ther product would help. This might not be a cure all, but i am all for anything that keeps the goverment out of control of my body.

welcome sir, from the opposite coast.
16. Will you take a check?
17. Its been between 98 and 101 her in Iowa for alomost 2 weeks. The humidity has been a little merciful at 75%, but it is still miserable. I cant deal with -20* any better than I can 100*.
18. That 10mm wrench would have been nice to have. Install went much quicker that removal for me. about 20 minutes.
19. Mine was getting the same way. Just a little longer each time to start. It was getting ready to leave me stranded.Pulled the starter off to day and went to auto zone here in Iowa. They could not find that I had purchase it from them. So I took off to the closest Advance auto. Gave the guy my phone number and nothing showed up for me at all. He asked if I bought it there and I told him I bought it in NC. He says that he can only look in the state of Iowa, but the starter is an advance part. So with a little Push from me he looks up the store in NC that I bought it at, calls them and wallah there I am.Bottom line, I got a new starter (Remy, with a big Made In China sticker on it) for $0.00, installed it and all is fine. The truck starts like a new one again. Still have a lifetime warranty too.Problem solved and I appreciate yall's input.
20. Just to be sure I understand this, you are showing a disc that seperated in the center. Right?
21. The batteries are 4 or 5 months old. Starter is 3 maybe 4 years old.
22. Howdy folks, Been working to much to be around here lately. Still working to much, but thats better than not working at all.

I am having a slow start problem. The starter is turning the motor to slow like my battries are weak. I cheked the batteries this morning before starting and they read 12.5v before starting and after sitting all night. When I hit the switch it turned slowly and the voltage dropped to near 10.5. Thge engine started after a couple of seconds. It seems to start alittle slower thru the day. Iam getting worried one time it is not going to start.

The alternator is putting out 14v while running. When I first get in and turn the switch on the volt meter in the truck isx sitting near 12v and the DVM is reading 12.5. After it starts it takes about 30 to 45 seconds for the voltage to get up to 14v. It seems to me it used to not take that long to reach just past 14v and the truck gauge.

I have not had much time to investigate the problem and tomorrow will be about the only day I wil have. Just wondering what you folks think might be wrong.
23. I think about it every time the wind blows out the fire on my lighter when I try to light a smoke. - - - Updated - - - may God bless all of us.
24. Coming from you that is a compliment. I am aware enough to see any major differances in EGT's empty or loaded. To give you a detailed spread sheet of what they are would be difficult. The gauge readings I am seeing are beyond what I think the engine is really seeeing. I have to think it is an electronics proplem and not a physical problem with the engine. I can still flog this truck and get great performance, but in the same breath, not always no why.
25. I am reasonably aware of my readings. I could not quote them to anyone. Mine is just runnin whacky right now. When I go to work in the morning it seems to work right. Later in the day I start getting the whacky readings. - - - Updated - - - Would a signal amplifier be present in a tuner? Dont forget I live in the world of elctronics neophytes.
