  1. You already shared yours. I dont think his working very good either.
  2. Me for comparison, 265 75 16's, 355 gears, 7300 gross am 18.5 mpg at 75. I was getting 19.5 prior to replacing my VP last Thanksgiving. Pump is not tapped ma be the reason for the loss not sure. But if I added 1700 lbs i would expect it to drop a couple mpg I would think. I could slow down 65 and that would help but extra time to the trips home I make.
  3. How are figuring your miles driven? Is your odo adjusted for the tires? You are gerring 30% better milage than anyone I have seen on here with 35" tires + 9000 lb gross weight.
  4. What kind of housings are they in? Looks like your are blinding the squirrels pretty good.
  5. My deepest sympathies my friend. She will be in thoughts as you will.
  6. Dont forget to check how they look coming at you. I can crank mine up and light alot highway but I am also blinding folks.
  7. I am getting 18 to 19 running 70 to 75 with 354's on 265 75 16's. What you are getting on those big tires is pretty darn good compared most we see with similar set ups.
  8. For sure to be an extended trip. There a lot of things to see we have been wanting to see out that way. We have spent many years riding from job to job without the time to stop. Look forward to riding and having the time to stop.
  9. Driving style and what ground you cover matters alot. I am about 65% highway and 35% in town at the moment. The last set of Coopers went 80k but I was doing 90% highway and 10% in town for a lot that set.
  10. Coordinates would B7954 x F2931 on the grid. @Dieselfuture YOU BETTER DUCK!!!!!
  11. I cant seem to get my turbo to spoil.
  12. I ran a set Geolanders on mine many years back and only got about 50k out of them. Never tried them again. I am on my 4th set of Cooper ATP's from Discount tire and get about 65k out of them. About $900 for the set. The tread is different than what you are looking for however. Funny how some of us get better mileage out a certain brand than others. But seems pretty commom. The above is just my personal experience with the Coopers, others might disagree.
  13. The pressure should be adjustable from what little I read about. You google the pump check it out. I personally try for a low pressre of 14 with a high of 20. There is more than one school of thought on this. Free reving is not any good for any pressure testing.
  14. Guess I am mising it too. I would have thought the 98.5 would be having a hard with the 01 electronics since the sensors are different. Thought the headlights were seperate from the motor harness. But is electrical is not my strong point.
  15. The vent is the gray thing on the top left. It has no lines to it. Mine is the in tank pump basket. The OE looks a good bit different but I believe the vent is the same.
  16. It is an electronically controlled mechanical pump, gear driven. It turns when the engine turns. Big gear on top. You do the hot wire test to see if the engine will run and all the fuel lines need to be connected to the pump and injectors. Fuel to the injectors needs to verified also. So just powering the VP will not move any fuel, it has to turn.
  17. Just remember if you get on it hard dont get off of it hard.
  18. I was talking about the horizontal pipe that connects to the down pipe and runs by the tranny. Might be longer on my long bed.
  19. I have been thru a few bouts of dead pedal issues over the years. Even with those TPS codes it never turned out to the TPS. The first bout was the VP and fuel pressure. Many years later several weird surging and dead pedal issues. I did have a problem with the 5v sensor wire being damaged. Fixxed that and it helped. But the biggest 2 things I did was clean up my charging system and all of the connections, l made all new battery cables which may not be necessary. I then did the WT ground mod. All this was 3 years ago and not one problem since. ECM? Possible but I think unlikely. I would not replace it based dead pedal and TPS code.
  20. I have read about that many years back but have no experience with it.
  21. Loosen a couple injector lines and see if you coming out of them while cranking. Some codes wont light the cel.
  22. The chickenator and shorty will be making that one day. Hopefully in the not to distant future. Updates as I have them. I look forward to doing it.
  23. The key trick only reads the PCM on a 2000. You still may have some. Could be many things with nothing else to go on.
