  1. That is very nice. Most of what projects I get do are that involved. Beings I am on the road constantly that would take me 3 or 4 years to build even using Kregg joints for joinery. Absolutely beautiful.
  2. I just ran mine thru Kelly blue book and came back around 6 grand with 497k on it. Mostly rust free with a little body damage and interior is all in tact just shows its age a bit.
  3. I did and still have the problem. Turn the key the start position and nothing. It started intermittantly and got worse. I replaced the starter switch and it did not fix it. I still have a remote switch hanging from the multifunction switch that I use. Funny thing is the key will still start it but only a couple times then it wont so back to the remote switch. I dont think my lift pump runs when it does not start either, but I am not sure. Bumping the remote switch with the key on and the pump does run. Every thing else works as it should. Figure my issue is in the wiring somewhere. As much as I love electrical problems it will have to wait untill I have the time and ambition to dig into it.
  4. I can 19.5 at 75 on 265 75 16 and no lift. You are turning a lot of rotational mass and way up in the wind. @Evan would be the man on your set up.
  5. You and me both. I can build most anything out of wood but metal I have 0 experience. I figure to take a welding class or 2 after I retire just because I can.
  6. He bought it new. It was totaled in wreck with 1.3 million. He was on one of the truck tv shows after he cleared the million mark. Forget which one though.
  7. I enjoy seeing the progress myself. I just hope you can get your pants back without to many burn holes in them.
  8. Cajflynn did run the highways in his but pretty much with big load strapped on the back. Mine sees mostly highway. About 80/20 highway and in town. But it is not unusual for me idle a lot in the cold weather and the hot. I wish I knew how many hours the motor has on it. I am not a 53 block though.
  9. Mine will do that if you have just bumped for priming or whatever. You can do it many times with out shutting it off. But if the engine shuts down for any reason other than turning key off it wont do the prime without turning the key off and starting over. Hope that makes sense.
  10. Pretty small lip but enogh for a guide.
  11. This is the splice @Dieselfuture is speaking of. Sensor grounds. Circled in red.
  12. What did you use as a guide?
  13. Careful, you might start something.
  14. Try as I may, you cant unsee that!!
  15. This is a long shot but I have heard here in the past of whacked oil pressure sensors causing trouble in other sensors. Might try just unplugging it and see what happens. Just spit balling here since I dont remeber the issues folks were going thru. I do remember they had no codes for it either.
  16. I did a quick look myself and was seeing the same thing. During that I never saw anything about failing. I think you are good too.
  17. Would any benefit come from milling the divider and wast gate on the 351 as I have seen done on the 35?
  18. I did read that. Interesting read. I have other chinese parts on my truck, hard not to.
  19. Lift pump bad and starving the motor? Next time when it shuts down just bump the starter, no engine start, and see if the pump is running. It should runfor 20 seconds or so. If it is then open the filer drain and see if any fuel is coming out.
  20. It would appear Holset has a manfacturing plant in China like many others.
  21. The last 90* turn took its toll on me.
  22. What kind of weight are you pulling?
  23. Yep, its a mix. Seems the early 02's have them.
