  1. @jlbayes found it for me. It was 12 minutes from my buddy’s house. Luck of the draw I guess
  2. Picked this up the other night. Cracked timing case, no fuel or air, but was only $250 with 167k on it. Now to find the project vehicle! It’s currently between a 70’s F350, a 07 Super Duty, or a 70’s D600 farm truck. Thoughts?
  3. Simple windshield mount with a Galaxy S5 that has seen temps so high that image is burned into the LCD. Still kicking.
  4. If your signature is up to date then you should be just fine. You will be pushing the upper limits of the clutch rating, but South Bend usually under rates their clutches
  5. Your Super B will get you to your desired power range, when coupled with the Adrenaline and 7 x 0.009 injectors or larger.
  6. Check the two bulk connectors that run along the cowl to the right of the valve cover. Make sure the plastic bails are closed and tight. I've seen where a loose connection there will cause CCD bus issues. Plus, it's right at shoulder height for when you're working on the lift pump area.
  7. Because it's after your airdog, and would be a plumbing nightmare to make it a pre filter. Plus, as Mike pointed out, the water separator takes care of pre filtering for the pump. If you're really worried, I use one of these before my lift pump: https://www.amazon.com/WIX-Filters-Complete-Line-Filter/dp/B000CSGTAA
  8. Various locations from Minnesota to North Dakota.
  9. I am a stock engine still. Lol. But you you have done a rebuild and I haven’t
  10. I think the Casey’s in North Dakota have already switched over to winter blend. They don’t have stickers on them though.
  11. Prorated means if you fall outside the three year replacement, they’ll give you a discount on a new battery as part of the warranty. I’m not sure what the percentages are, but then after 5 years you’re SOL and paying full price.
  12. Walmart has the one of the best warranties too
  13. Longest I’ve gone is 1500* for 4 minutes. Blew an intercooler boot going up a mountain and couldn’t pull over. 45 miles an hour in 4th gear to keep speed up ? and its still fine so egt’s are just a number right? Though I don’t really watch my EGT gauge at all anymore. Just glance at it occasionally.
  14. No. I don’t know what’s causing your lope. I have a lope as well. One cause is warmup mode on the quadzilla. The other was valves that were too tight. Yours could be a result of multiple reasons
  15. Yeah but then my IAT will be below 80*! Come on Mike! I have a 2000* egt gauge. I’ve had it up to 1800* before. Held that for almost 45 seconds. Probably won’t do that again.
  16. All part of having big injectors and a SO VP and an HO ecm. Doesn’t bother me anymore. Listening to it warm, I definitely have a valve that’s too loose. Can hear it in the cab even. Used to have them at 8 and 18, and it was ridiculously quiet then. But that caused a surging issue on return to idle.
  17. Yours sounds fine. Mine on the other hand, I think it’s a combination of low temperature, poor atomization, cold engine, what the valve lash is set at, and an angry VP https://youtu.be/UqNWGVKuVjQ
  18. Ha! Did it get a new HPOP after that one? Or was there a plug somewhere? Or did the dummy plugs/stand pipes fail?
  19. Well those two have HEUI injection systems that are a PITA if the IPR sensor screen gets plugged. 95% of the reason a 6.0 won’t start. If a 7.3 won’t start, it’s the cam position sensor 99% of the time
  20. What do you want to know. I’m fairly well versed in 7.3 and 6.0 speak (unfortunately on the second one)
  21. Guys I don’t need more EGTs!
  22. Ah damn, you’re right. The 6 speed always throws me when I’m moving fast. Carry on.
  23. @Marcus2000monster you gotta remember you have a high output truck. The HO VP’s have an internal timing advance built in, which might be why you’re hearing a difference between yours and others.
