  1. Wait. You have wiretap on all the time? Why?
  2. Not a creation @dripley. Factory industrial motor from Cummins. @Mopar1973Man I doubt those would sell well
  3. Mine are designed for a completely different end goal than yours are. Also, this particular builder would not listen if you wanted a different pop pressure. His testing gave him a pretty good idea on what pressures and pintle lift to use to achieve the horsepower goals.
  4. Me78569 has done plenty of testing at 6000’ of elevation to determine the quadzilla, 7x0.010 and HX35 combination. It will be plenty sufficient at @Marcus2000monster‘s 3000’ for daily and towing duties. My injectors are popped at 305 bar at 5300’ (for reference) and are fine on smoke levels with the quadzilla.
  5. Smarty has the stock tune file and adds high idle to it.
  6. Nick is right. Quad + 7x0.010s will be a perfect match for an HX35 and will give you room to grow later if you want.
  7. Liability reasons I’m sure, since there’s no computer control of the transmission to ensure it’s in park. Which is odd because the semis at work (1998) have this feature, only if both brakes are set though. I’m sure there’s a neutral validation switch built into the air shift mechanism that allows for the confirmation of neutral. Nick. There should be a capped green wire with black tracer up by the clutch pedal. I think if that’s grounded, high idle works like it should.
  8. Call it what you want.... You're addicted to the power. <— Mike
  9. And you tried to tell us you didn’t have the power bug!
  10. Hey, no girlfriend, no need for a passenger seat!
  11. This old pickup got a sound upgrade today.
  12. I used to have issue with that pump getting junk air separator filters that caused a rock tumbler sound. Try changing the filters and see what happens. I never had performance issues when it made those sounds though.
  13. Have you checked the two big CCD plugs just to the right of the valve cover? Sometimes that white bail gets loosened and you get intermittent issues like you’re seeing.
  14. MAP values read over the OBDII always look wonky like that. The best way to read it is a mechanical gauge, because even if you plug into the data link to the ECM, you're only going to see 16 psi max.
  15. That's my preferred measurement. Close enough is good enough.
  16. I’m not sure how much the fast coolers do. I just have one on the driver’s side because of the exhaust, and the probe should be right where the gear flings the oil to the passenger side.... Saw 235 when towing at a consistent 75 mph for 7-8 hours. Just changed the fluid and didn’t think about it.
  17. Because typically "new" injectors from a vendor are just what you have. Someone's old OEM bodies, rebuild, with new nozzles.
  18. Should be pretty close to that, depending on your timing and fuel curve
  19. Mine behaves the exact opposite from your description. I'm still convinced he has a bad throwout bearing
  20. I believe there is always constant contact between the throwout bearing and the pressure plate. So it is spinning all the time, but without a load on the face, it rattles. As soon as it's pressed against the fingers of the pressure plate, there's enough load to quiet it. You wouldn't feel anything in the pedal. The whole shift fork assembly only moves maybe half an inch.
  21. @Dieselfuture that sounds like a worn out throwout bearing. Mine is also worn out. Dual disks are quiet until you push the clutch in, and then the floater plate can rattle around on the dowel pins
  22. Both manufactures offer a variety of pressure plate loads and button material. Ceramic will hold your 600 hp, organic will be pushed to hold what you're making.
  23. Agreed. Clutches are all about personal preference. I’ll probably go with south bend again because I like how firmly my clutch engages, and how it gets more drivable when towing. So so if you like the valair, go with them again.
  24. I would. It'll be a $45 filter. Can be found on ebay.
  25. There are dry filters offered... We don't know what version Ralph has, so I don't think it's fair to assume its a washable one and that it might be passing dust. I've had great luck with the S&B dry filters. Currently running one with the compounds.
