  1. I towed horses up a few grades today Lots of power. I'm on sw6 tm2 d5. Time2 so I can toggle all sw#,s and not worry to much about fuel and timing together Egt stayed below 1200 at all times. One grade I pull on highway in middle from a stop start jamming gears and accelerate up the hole hill. Didnt try to grab overdrive. Topped out at about 2200 and ran to top that's 60 65ish mph . Before I could peg 1500egt just thinking about it. I'm very happy with how it pulled and ran cool.
  2. I'd soft line it of you get new lines https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123647780790
  3. Yellowstone just outside Jackson Wyoming
  4. Up my transmission pressure and played with TV. Tm5 is just to much fuel down low for my liking normal driving its shifting at like 1500. 1-2 shift light throttle is wa bam under throttle it lurches forward as it grabs. That's just to harsh for me. 2-3 is still my sloppy shift but also harsh under light throttle. Tm 4 is still early shifting but I like it. Tm3 doesnt seem to gain much down low pull. I'm leaving timing at 2 duration 5. Has tons of power pulling from 1800 2200. I may have felt it go flat but I was doing 90 messing around. I never drive like that. If it makes power to 2200 I'm happy. I'm not sure sw number matters at all. When revo settings are changed. To bad it cant store different settings on each sw# and tune on the fly Then I could have setting pre done and see instantly what they do.
  5. Drain plug is still the best 47re upgrade ever. Hauled some dirt then did this on the job site. Bumped up pressure This made 1-2 harsh 2-3 still not what I want. Backed of TV slightly slightly better but shifting sooner than I like at light throttle. Probly going to going back in and back off pressure just a touch then reset tv. My eyes popped out of my head. There was a bolt in the pan. The torxe bolt that's in pressure solenoid plate. I think that's what called. But being put didnt seem to affect it. This tunning never ends. I like it though. I am curious to try a valve body done by dynamic or anyone really would it be bolt n go or would I be tunning for years. With more pressure I did notice the truck sounded different as soon as I dropped it into gear. Seemed to need less throttle to move.
  6. I dont think so. They're hydraulic fittings jc maybe, seal on a taper. Kinda like a brake line. Check to make sure the plastic separators haven't started letting the lines rub together. My did and ended up dumping all the fluid as I went down the highway loaded. Got to town and it wouldnt move ounce I stopped at a light. I now watch that stuff religiously. In shifts I can tell if its low on fluid but cruising unless it slips I cant tell. A temp gauge would help. I'd see a drastic temp change with lack of fluid. Or pressure gauge. My lines are now mostly rubber. That leak at your exchanger isnt to concerning more a annoyance. I'd almost make a bet that you can snug it and it stops leaking. Good luck
  7. I want a quad ? I'm fiddling with the s03 feels like playing the lottery. Gota get the numbers just right but dont know what the numbers are Heres my floored egt. Lol. Cruising to
  8. I'm same as mopar man. 3200-5000. Our trucks can be tuned leaner. Less air less dense than sea level.. At sea level fuel/ratio will have more fuel in the charge and make more power. Than up at higher elevations. Maybe more heat to. Is your waste gate opening? I saw a very noticable reduction in egts with waste gate turn buckled shut. My stock hy35 goes over 35psi. But I rarely see over 30 driving normal. Are you standing on it to hit that 1250 on the flat. I used to hit 1400 with my foot on floor locked when I was making only 22psi. Now I'd imagine I might be able to hit that still but I'd have to be trying very hard to do it. I cruise at 1800rpm at 700-800 deg and less than 10psi ov boost Whoa them are skateboard wheels. 10mph difference at same rpm.
  9. Dynamic. I'm hoping to drop the pan and up pressure today. I hope. I'm just shy of 150 right now. With the plate drilled .106 would bumping pressure to 165 be okay? Maybe 170. 3 or so revolutions on the pressure screw maybe 4. 15-20psi should change everything noticably Thanks for all your help.
  10. Got my 2nd twister muffler. Actually the 4-5" is flop pro and the 5"6" is fte. Quality is a little lower on fte nit it has solid looking welds. Truck is now much quieter with both resonators on. Maybe even a stockish sounding idle with a slight turbo whistle. It does seem to whistle more when on the throttle I am very happy. No drone now and much quieter. But still enough good sound to be noticed. No ratty straight pipe sound or like how the straight through mufflers sound. Everyone around it has commented asking if I put a different turbo on. Finished very nice quite sound
  11. Did you go 285x75x17 That's what I run. They measure an actual 33" tall I think 11 wide. They're a closer to 35" tire than 33" I'm about 9500lbs empty 7x09 on hy35 turbo Cruising at 1800rpm is the sweet spot for good mileage on my truck. I also have 3.55s. I dont check my mpg religiously though I'm hoping to make 600 on this tank of fuel
  12. Not running between reverse and drive
  13. I've seen those come loose, put a wrenches on it. See if snugging it fixes leak only thing I can think that thing does is warm fluid to operating temp. I've thought about bypassing it and running lines straight to cooler
  14. Can the converter even drain in reverse or time it takes to move stick to drive
  15. Say I change timing to 2 I know they then all set to 2. Does eachcurve still change compared to two setting in each sw# or are they now the same. I'm mainly messing with sw5. But got to think that it may be the same as sw3 if its revo settings match sw5. I'm at tm5 timing2 d5 Wish I could go down to tm4.5 Sw6 is tm5 t1 d5 was timing set to factory causing it to fall on its face with the added fuel down low and up high. Timing set at 2 I haven't noticed it going flat. It will smoke like coal train but cleans out quick and is smooth my boost gauge isnt dancing. I was thinking to leave timing at 2 then bounce through the sw#'s see if one strikes my fancy. Might bump my trans pressure up 20lbs or so tonight and kick my shift points back. I do like fuel on the bottom. I might run around with pressure gauge on trans and watch shift points psi in different settings. Does this ever end
  16. Lol. I can tell the smarty does something what im nit sure. I was in sw6 this morning on throttle maybe alittle more aggressive th hen normal shifts 1-2 2-3 locks 3rd and fell flat on its face. All shifts felt natural good quick shifts then it falls flat I let off the throttle. My brain is turned think tranny. I'm back on setting sw5 tm4 timing 2 duration 4. Seems better just light throttle in city traffic. Did hit the freeway for a few minutes cruise has a slight surge. Boost gauge not fluttering grrr I have seen some settings really flutter my boost gauge. Some settings the needle is solid. Still not sure what to think. I thought all fuel setting would get rid of wierd neam nit I'm guessing it was fueled out when locking the converter in 3rd. Still more testing. Almost like loading rifle ammo trying different combinations till happy below essivive pressure signs on the primer.
  17. I've read the article.. I have 7x09 and decent auto trans. I'm really not sure what to think of this s03. I can feel it makes power but it's all wierd every where. About the only noticeable change I see is in tourqe management revo setting.. 3 less smoke 4 more noticeable scale and pep. Not sure injection timing makes much difference Still playing with it. I'm on sw6 now all revo settings at default
  18. Lol I cant sell anything. Maybe MoparMan can log onto my account and finish my profile. Its stuck on step 3
  19. Ok. Started thinking I didnt like the smarty much at all. Tried sw3. Tm 6 t4 d3 felt good on bottom pulled hard then went flat around 1800, wtf maybe timing turned down to 3 would help. So I went back to sw5 tm4 felt good before so i used that but tried timing at 4. And duration 3. This feels good of idle I could hear turbo spool up quick. It's dark and my psi gauge has no light in it. It pulled hard off idle to 2000 feet crisp and no dead spot. Only thing I didnt like is 3rd locked early. ive been wanting to bump my trans pressure up, this will up pressure for reduced TPS and make shifts later. I might tear the valve body off and go after the 2-3 shift port in the plate. I've been wanting to crisp and quicken 2-3 . It never ends. I'm going to leave it on sw5 tm4 t3 d3 for the time being I feel it's the best driving settings I've tried so far so I'll give it some drive time to decide. As much as I like tunning I was getting irritated with the s03. Was excited that I could feel power but it seemed all wierd. Hoping this last setting works seems everytime think I like it it feels weird the next day. Maybe it always will. Lol. Anyone wanna trade two shitty programmers for a quad?
  20. Hx40 would be cheap and easy
  21. 60 60 12 sounds like me. I dont like to go much over 2200rpm
  22. I filled out sig but it wont take it. 7x09, exhaust, bhaf, s03, 47re has alot of money. Ohh 150 pump big line from tank to injection. Essential gauges to. Undecided on s03 also have a superchips. May get rid them for a turbo. Hx40 pr something cheap Usable 350-400 is what I'm after. Ok to over 400 if usable.
  23. Mostly I've met my power goals. I'm at 295k and heads never been off. Even if gains are minimal to nothing I'll most likely do some grinding on exhaust side when it's time. Myswell since I do what I can when I can when all it costs me is time. Studs, valves, deck, grind. Possibly lip in intake since itl be at the machine shop. Put a few thousand at it maybe 2500. Plan for doing it at tax time. We just had a shoo do our 6.7 for 3500 I was unimpressed with what we got for 3500. But that was labor and all. I did zero wrench turning. Actually made me sick knowing I could have got more for 3500. But I'm not the boss or money man so he did it how he wanted and truck couldn't be down long. MoparMan I'm at 7 8 psi cruising same speed as you. 10 on little inclines. Not really sure what mpg I'm getting. Better than our 6.7 though for sure. I just can't run small tires. Not in my blood
  24. What upgrades are recomended when doing a gasket. Studs plus what. Aside from guides and seals. Can we port match the manifold or do any porting maybe open up the exhaust side to breath better or is that a no no without a flow bench and proper tools to ensure each exhaust ports the same size coming out of the head. Dammit now I'm going to research porting. I'm at 295k heads never been off
