  1. 10/4. People thinking is good I've been towing a 10k machine around boise. Finally decided I for sure want 2nd gear tourq converter lock. soon I'll be dropping the valve body to do it. May make a few other tweaks to. I can never leave good enough alone. Lol
  2. I'm running 7x009 injectors. Turn buckled waste gate and boost fooler seen psi as high as 38 pulling grades towing. Egt down noticably compared to pulling grades with waste gate open bouncing at 21ish psi. But backing off throttle cause turbo making a hellashish screaming sound at 38psi. Stock hy35. I replaced stock injectors at 220k area They were very dirty carboned up. Fuel spraying through thick carbon tracks. Truck was like night and day dropping in 7x009 eac injectors. Even at 20lbs of boost. No boost fooler on mass airflow sensor and waste gate opening. You might pull injectors and clean nozzles or replace them. I bet you might see a seat of the pants improvement
  3. Atf 4 is good fluid for seals and bearings and increasing time between service intervals. I by no means saying not to use it and I guess I shouldn't place it last. It's just a very slippery synthetic. I'm keeping tabs on 3 47re's Mine a full build red mixed with tractor transmission A stock 47 straight tractor trans. A slightly built 47 with multi vehicle semi synthetic. I had my 47 built at 280ish k. When it quit going do to bands. It ran on tractor trans for alot of years stock. With only pressure turned up alittle. internals looked very good for a high mileage trans. Clutches could have survived longer. Band needed replaced so myswell build. Worst part about tractor fluid is seeing it on the stick. Check out the fluid power driven diesel puts out. Its vooooodoooo toooooo. A well kept 47 on at4 definitely is good much better than going 150k and letting fluid turn to mud. Like alot of people do with there autos
  4. Ford f fluid for crispy shifting. Ford f mixed with tractor transmission mission fluid Multi vehicle synthetic DeX fluids Atf+4 Water. Atf 4 ranking just above water in my list. I would not worry one bit about any 727 based tranny with red fluid in it. Level and service intervals are more important than kind of red fluid used. Filter, bands filter filter filter fresh fluid.
  5. I've flared the ends of my metal lines and 90% rubber now. Flared ends and clamped on rubber I do like the looks of the Larry bs lit and that will get rid of the check ball at the cooler Is Larry bs kit to passenger side block mounted canister to front of the truck and back to tranny. I dont think I see enough fittings for that. I've been debating bypassing that block mounted heat exchanger thing or whatever it is. I think it may actually be to warm trans fluid.

  7. I've had a few people mention it looked bowed. Bed has never lined up like the dually bed did. Welder is only 1500lbs dry so with torch tanks and fuel maybe 1600 not really that heavy. Welder is off now and truck looks lifted again Though now it's got a counter balance on the tail gate

  9. The recreation one doesnt have to register. The air photography throws a hole nee spin on it. Supposed to stay line of site yadda yadda. I used to fly a helicopter with over 4ft rotor. I gave that up before the regulations started hitting. I do know there most liking going away. Theres bigger fish to fry
  10. Rain what's that. I think the mtn home area is good. They are quicker to dispatch the bombers than they used to. Weve had pretty heavy air support in mtn home and the sounding areas Anyone else get a adrenaline rush in these monsters. I dont have current photos this is pony complex fire probly the most intense fire I've ever been part and at times I feared for my life. Coming off the mtn pushing cows into the fire because we were surrounded with help of bombers we got out and pushed our cattle through fire. bombed into the black watches this fire crush a rd like it wasnt there. 20ft talk flames sound like freight train. The sage brush thinned here. We made this draw just right as bombers slowed it crossing the line singed horses hair and cows. Scarey times. Living breathing creature

  12. If your in a bind message me here I may be able to help or know someone who can. For those that dont know Elmore county was hit by a dry storm today 10 fires are now ripping. We dont have much to burn anymore other than cows and houses. We try not cook em on the hoof and keep our houses safe. I am always amazed how this time of year we come together as community machines, those with horses headed after cattle in fires path. Theres is no end of help. Be safe you all

  14. Both batteries when running will read the same. Check each battery independent unhooked from the truck. What's .019volts ? There are capacitors and stuff those like mopar man know alot about. I just know that's turned off lol

  16. I love when guys say they have a built tranny. 4k isnt a bad place to be. Depending on tech rates it might even get triple/billett I did a billett flexplate I think that 350 could have been better spent somewhere else
  17. A tranny I'm sure whatever stage 3 is will transform the truck
  18. You can pull the injectors and see how bad they are. Could even clean carbon off yourself with a wire brush and solvent. It's not a horrible job to pull injectors. Just dont try to bend lines to clear injector tubes.

  20. My wallet knows all about the 47re refinements. All said and done there are things I'd wished I'd done but didnt. I guess tuning and spending money never ends
  21. My injectors were basically plugged. Truck had no power no boost crappy fuel mileage. I'm now making about 28lbs of boost with 7x009 injectors. Plenty of power for me truck is quick and fun to drive. I'm now getting about 600 miles from a tank of fuel. My odometer only reads about .8 miles for every mile so I'm not sure what my mpg is. I was told my vp44 eas dieng causing truck to not fuel like it should. Injectors where so carbines up you could see tracks where fuel was spraying through the carbon. I did injectors om wot since they're cheaper than a vp44. Glad I did. Pumps been going strong ever since. Good luck that's just what I found with mine.
  22. I'm also guessing the converter is locking and unlocking at cruise speeds in both 3rd and 4th. My hunch now that your cruise control is wacky is that you are nearly having voltage issues. The cable connections below the drivers battery I honestly dont know what they are but I know them being loose caused me to have similar issues as you. You need to go through and clean every battery connection on the truck wether you think it pertains to your issues or not. I asked about the cruise control because I had granny issue where my torque converter wouldnt hold cruise also didnt work. Regardless wether your computer is bad these issues need to be looked into and can often be fixed for free.
  23. Lol I did pick up on that though I'm sure he has his tuning that he likes along with parts he does like to use. May not necessarily be a shift kit but instead called a highly refined valve body and transmission
  24. Did you check cables below drivers batter to see if they're loose. From sounds of it you need to get good crisp battery connections going. You might also check battery voltage with cables unhooked. One battery might read 12.4 and the other 10 that's no good. I'd also check battery connection on starter its probly loose with 10 years of mud and oil on it.. Does cruise control work??
