Boost fooled turn buckled hy35
Towing for the first time since plugging in boost foother. 7x09 injectors have been running toasty had to peddle off egts on most all grades while towing even light loads. With heavy loads 10k machin 5k trailer your have really watch it on flat ground. Pulling the few grades from mtn home to Jerome Cruise is on at 1800rpm pulling 30lbs of boost on grades that are 3 or so miles long hottest I saw was 1100 before I'd be peddling of the maintain 1200 and easily saw 1400. On the way back theres a steeper longer grade. I'll see what it does there I expect 1200ish and more boost. So far this boost fooler seems to be working wonders on reducing egts. Though the little hy35 is really working. I'll be alittle heavier come back with metal on the trailer but not much heavier. I'm only towing under 7k

4k quadzillas tuning
How evolved is it to build a tune. With the iquad can you change tunes right on the tablet or phone. I'm looking Into the quad and not understanding how you guys are building custom tunes. Do you plug into the windows computer to change setting within settings Does the iquad tune the same as one that just comes with the pod that allows changes on the fly? In like how the torq tune says do not contact support regarding this tune. I'm very interested in the defueiling at 12-1300 deg

Finally put my dana 80 cover on
You can order the ruff stuff cover with or without drain plug. I prefer them with out drain plugs in case a rock kisses it there. It's pretty easy to take cover off for servicing and inspecting. Look into the lube locker diff cover gaskets. This is my 8.25 jeep axle I've been building.

I have a billet single disc was told its lower stall. But feels more like factory stall to me. All I can verify is its billet because I saw that much with my owns eyes. I did a billet flexplate to. I didnt do kevlar bands to, suposebly kevlar can wear the drumb? I did alot of research pulled the tranny and took it to a local tranny guy I've known for years that does very good work. I'm getting more into it now. Confidence in my wrenching ability is growing. Maybe that's a bad thing. I did toy with th he idea tig welding the port but the idea faded fast that could potentially ruin a good valve body

Finally put my dana 80 cover on
Looks good. I was disappointed in the lack of covers for the dana 80. I've bought this cover for a dana 35 and Chrysler 8.25. These are beef probly dont fo much for cooling though. Dana60/70 share the same cover. I'll be putting one on my front 60 but it's not high on priority. Maybe when I upgrade steering I'll mount a stabalizer ti the cover. I think it might be 77.5 -79 is high pinion. Very desirable axle. I built a ifs Chevy with its little brother the hp 44 out of a 78 ford. Was sweet truck . Did you do the fab work. Lot going on there to mock it up. Are your brackets burned in or waiting final assembly to verify it's all correct. What control arms are you running?

Yes I agree. It's amazing how fluid flows through the vains. It may be simple but it sure doesnt look it when my eyes are looking at it. I have the deer in the headlights look. Is there any mods that can be done to make truck pull harder under light throttle/lower pressure short of a lower stall converter? I've seen a few 47res for cheap, I' have been tempted to watch for one and try my hand at building one for later down the rd. What do you think of the jb weld 2nd gear lock mod? I want to do it but something to me doesnt feel right about blocking a passage with jb weld.

77 isnt a hi pinon? I get a warm and fuzzy feeling picturing long arms and coil over shocks along with that axle. Detroit and hubs gosh, nice Post some pictures.

Yeah I'd just like to quicken 2-3. Maybe I'll raise wot shifts and see how I like it across the board. Why do you like shifts at 2900-3000? I rarely go there. Only when tuning. Lot of work to drill 1 hole maybe I'll get a new switch valve and drill the hole. Is there a kit you recommend. I want it more for the how to and running options. Thanks again for your time Would you also recomend 12v wot shifts up a few hundred? I'm also playing with one of those

Dam I did grind it. I guess I know now. Also didnt know that psi could be that high in reverse. Always learning Wot locked I'm just shy of 150 thinking about turning it up some though for now I cant afford a turbo or programmer. So I'm not needing more pressure No signs of slipping or shudder. One thing I would like is a quicker 2-3 shift Would drilling the hole in plate bigger accomplish that. Got both 1-2 and 2-3 drilled at .106. 1-2 is a very quick firm but not to firm shift 2-3 is a good shift but not as quick I dont see any rpm change but I can feel it takes longer than 1-2. Would upping line pressure 5-10psi quicking it? Or slightly tighter TV cable? Shifts are right where I like them 2700 wot 2200 moderate throttle. What do you think of those Reman valve bodies on ebay. Suspobly a jr kit installed in them. Take one of those and start fresh. Thanks for your time dynamic

'00 24v Cummins - What tuner to get?
So s03 would benefit from running a boost fooler I'm not 100% sure what I get for fuel mileage right now Superchips on max (whatever that is) 7x09, defueiling at 21. I can drive from mtn home to Grant's pass Oregon 670miles without stopping. I'm getting 35 sometimes 38psi with 7x09 injectors, boost fooler, and cheap superchips on max. Boost fooler really woke it up, no more defueiling

I agree. Open carrier gear or or whatever I happen to have on hand at any given moment. Mines at 296 all I've done is pinion seals on both ends

How much boost pressure are you pushing. Sounds like a fun truck I to want the squad over the smarty after seeing everything moparman can do with his. My trucks almost the same as yours unfortunately I'm still running the stock hy35. With that turbo and those injectors I'd guess that you've broke over 300 if the s03 boost fools. If it doesnt boost fool I say 280ish 50hp over stock. Factory computer defuel st 21lbs of boost.

Dana 70? If its metal on metal it cant possibly hurt. I've got a open rear end. Haven't seen the need for locker or limited slip. Though if I had guns on front I'd possibly try a Detroit full locker or spool. That way can lock one hub or both depending on the traction needs I'm looking for. But most of us dont have hubs, grrrr Reason I ask is theres a dana 70 and dana70/80 hybrid. The 70heavy duty. Theres 32 and 35 spline dana70s aswell as the 70hd hybrid I priced doing 4.10 gears in my dana60 front and 80 rear. Holy I just about shot at the cost of dana ring and pinion

Fte muffler day
So I took my grandpa for drive slow cruising gravel rds tonight. Truck is noticeably quieter but not enough. Debating adding a second fte or get a muffler. 9" muffler body will be pretty tight against frame rail. I'm pretty sure a second twister type muffler will knock it down more. That bring me to about 20"s worth of actual spiral instead of 10. Not many vids on YouTube of 30" fte mufflers ti help me make my decision. Think a longer straight through type muffler with 8" is body would reduce sound much placed right behind the 17.5 fte?

Stalling when put into gear
That's alot of injector ahead of a stock tranny. I had mine stall ounce with 7x09 injectors not sure if that was before or after I built the tranny. I've noticed it kinda lope when I fire it up after I order in fast food drive through then it smooths out. Might be heat thing fuel sitting in the lines add soaking up heat for a short time

I'd crack all six Fuel lines have a helper crank it over. As each line pushes fuel and air out then tightn it. Itl probly fire with 3 purged lines th eg n tighten the ones not tight yet and itl pick up those cylinders to. Sometimes cracking just a couple isnt enough. Make it easy to push the air out. It much easy for air to be pushed out with 6 lines to escape from

Yes Ireset TV stop back to were I had it initially adjusted. I'd like to pick your brain when inside this thing. My valve body had already been gone through. I mainly did it just to see what all was done. I didnt do the second gear lock mod. I may tear it down and do it. Now that I know it's not as scarey as its seemed. I'm curious what exactly all the mods are for they're purpose and why. The transgo direction's say do this but dont say what doing that does. I know transgo is not the do all. I'd be curious what other mods are available for someone like me to do. Like file a angle on the valve thingy in one spot. I did that mod m builder didnt, if it did anything I cant tell. He opted not to do it. I mainly gained experience doing this.

TC lock up with adreanaline
I think computer is designed around locking a single disc parameters. I'd be curious to see actual transmission pressures locked unlocked and during lock. With the quad and with out. I'd assume it has higher pressure without quad Does Tom change when it locks with and without quad ?

airdog and fuel pressure sensor location
That's a gauge out of a fuel tester kit I bought when I was trying to figure out why my 2001 expedition had no fuel pressure. That turned out to be the anti theft system was enabled. And had to be reprogrammed. That's one vehicle I wish I never bought.
