New Injector Issues
What temperature are you dealing with? Is it cold outside? Mt truck I'm running 100's and it will stall out when its cold out on the first start up if i don't get it into gear and idle it for a moment. but it runs fine after that. Just before I rebuilt my ECM it was acting like yours, and had some loping, random struggling, where it would almost stall out. Stuff like that.

Post Mod Trans Issue
Have you verified that the trans shifted into 1st? Have you tried unplugging the electrical connector, and driving the truck? if you remove the electric connector, the valve body should shift between the first 3 gears. From other replies, call John at Dynamic and plug his brain. I had to have him rebuild my valve body after a botched built aftermarket trans by another company. Hes a great guy, and can help you out.

Belt Tensioner Life Span
Has anyone here had to replace their belt tensioner yet? If so at how many miles was it about? I had to down the truck for a week to get my ECM rebuilt by ACS and I'm doing other work to the truth. I was wondering if the the tension-er being OEM to the truck in 1999 is still good for years to go, or if i should replace it now.

Larger fuel line w/FASS 165GH
me personally i"m running 1/2" from the tank to the FASS, then 3/8's from FASS to VP and Fass to tank(return), I have a fass 95 and i have a FASS 150 spring in it. I dont have any issues with my smarty and 100's. But YMMV.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/11/opinion/sunday/coronavirus-hospitals-bronx.html?utm_source=pocket-newtab A good article that sent chills down my spine. I went to shoprite the other day, store shelves are still empty here.

Pepsi's modified 1999 Long Term Injector study.
Back in the day these trucks required allot more work and labor intensive, like the old steam locomotives. ANYWAYS haha So I pulled the CKP sensor out and replaced it, and while i was doing that I discovered that my grease gun hose was leaking where it was shaved open by the drive shaft. I also replaced that the following week, and then when I was pulling the truck back into the shop to do the grease gun hose i discovered another leak on the No.1 crossover-tube nut. Hopfully my mpg and other stuff goes up. So far in about a week of running the truck seems to run allot smoother.

Truck threw a P0336 today, POS CKP sensor. I suspect this may be the issue at hand.

Pepsi's modified 1999 Long Term Injector study.
Well guys over the last week or so the stalling started getting worse, then the truck developed an odd idle and then yesterday morning I got fuel I literally lost 1mpg. Kinda puzzled.

Titan XXL 55 gallon fuel tank
I wish they still sold these for the older trucks!

Safe to assume my alternator just quit?
I tapped into an unused fuse pin. Worked great for me. It's been that way for years. And the fuel heater is run from the ECM is run right through the fuel heater plug. I have a master switch, that controls it but yes I have it too.

I wish I knew about this years ago when i bought my new Denso. But granted it has worked great since.

brake main line failure
I wrote up an article about this. I have the website that I bought them from. They give you all of options to choose from. Read the article, and follow it, there are parts for or trucks you can't get, so don't throw it all out first.

coronavirus protection
They are saying that you need to spray down the car with Lysol and let it sit 1 hour and it kills the virus, but who really knows. Does your meter return backwards Mike? Out here they have meters that run both ways, so say your producing more then you draw, it gives the power back to the grid and then spins the meter backwards, if you go back to zero they pay you.

They gave us a start at home unless you need to go out, but are allowing contractors and other workers deemed essential to work. Me, I'm not too concerned. Although having both asthma, and other health problems i feel like I should be.

Group 31 Battery Modifications to a 2nd gen RAM
This would most likely help, as i have starting issues once you get much below 22F without grid heaters. The truck refuses to start at that temp.

I'll check this. I wonder if it will solve my 2nd gear issue. Only the TM changes the fueling curve pre-spool up. Shifting sooner or later based on the TV cable, and the smarty I have noticed that the TV cable still over rides the Smarty. A good example of this is where the smarty could cause stack shifting, but so can just a little too much TV cable. Since adjusting my TV cable to WOT/Tight, the truck runs lower gears now, and doesn't favor running around in a higher gear. Which for years was a chronic issue I dealt with.

Ive witnessed a fist fight in wally world when two people grabbed the same roll of toilet paper, and one of the Home Depot guys watched two girls get into a cat fight when one tried to steal the toilet paper out of someone else's cart.

It's advised to add the filter filler. Mine came with mine when I got my double deep pan. It's about 2" deep.

coronavirus protection
What I've been told by one of my friends who work at a medical vaccine lab is that the real death rate is close to 1% for normal healthy people. She said that the normal flu is about 0.2% death rate. However those with compromised immune systems and or lung issues like asthma the death rate is closer to 20%. This is due to the fact that almost everyone ends up on a ventilator apparently when fighting this virus. The facility now has the army there on site, a few tanks and she said about 200 soldiers on base. And they showed up only in the last few days. She said to stock up on medical supplies as this will get worse. All I know is that everyone where I live in my development are watching everyone else when they come home every day. I decided to pick up my lever action and I'm looking for 44mag if I can find it.

Irony it is, but the trucks shifting way lower. 1-2 Shift is about 1,900, 2-3 is about 1,750, 3-4 is about 1,750. And not to mention that this is light throttle. Boost pressure is also lower, and so are egt's. Even driving down the highway. I can't explain it. The Smarty is on SW5, can't go any lower then that, however, it seems that readjusting the TV Cable seems to have resolved other issues as well, such as the trucks constant wish to run around in 3rd or 4th gear. If I was on say6 SW9 then ripping to SW5 or SW7 would indued he;pm

It worked its way loose, and I'm clueless how that happened. I ended up cleaning the brackets up, put them back on and torqued the **** out of the lock down bolts, and i'll have to keep an eye on it. A side note, I readjusted my TV cable and my boost seems to be running lower. Not sure why. But I'll be draining the Power steering system and refilling it today or tomorrow.
