  1. That's some great advice! Here's where I am now. Thankfully I didn't have to lean much, back still hurts from my adventure a couple weeks ago with the fractured vertebrae.
  2. They got me again, as I mentioned in a partially hijacked thread. I had put mothballs on the driver's side, so this time mama squirrel built behind my BHAF and decided to not only give birth, she had a snack near my PCM. @Auto Computer Specialist, do you sell the plug covers? Madam squirrel got the middle cover, too, the white one. 2001 PCM. EDIT: I had sprayed these wires with Critter Ridder, but it had been a month or so.
  3. The squirrels got me again! Maybe because of the mothballs only on one side, nest moved to PCM. I hadn't sprayed that with Critter Ridder in over a month I'd guess.
  4. @IBMobileI got an email that you replied to my post, but I don't see it. Is it between pages 3 & 4??? Or deleted, like an accidental post?
  5. In my case, squirrels. Tore up a big chunk of my harness! Critter Ridder applied every couple weeks didn't prevent another nest, but no more damage. Now trying moth balls tied up in an old sock...
  6. Maybe those are the reasons why it IS, in fact, smart to have a stockish turbo and a less insane set of injectors lying around. As far as turbo and injectors you don't need, I believe that is what currently installed on your engine. $425 for 7x.010 VCO, including estimated freight $200? Anyone you know with an HX35 lying around $20 Mike's 28 MPG tune PRICELESS: No more aggravation and high MPG, for the low low price of around $645 which you can surely recoup by selling your current injectors and turbo better suited to a 14L engine. Sincerely, Grumpy "Dave Ramsey" Grandpa
  7. I guess thankfully I don't have significant increased power! Stock injectors. My tires are 265, but aspect ratio is only 65 vs. 70 so are around 30.5" diameter.
  8. My solution to this is to own a truck that doesn't have enough power to spin the tires
  9. Back when I was investigating this for fun, I decided I'd choose the 5-speed if I was going that route. Isn't shift timing something that's adjustable in those controllers? If a guy just had a pile of money to do a conversion, is there a good one? The ZF out of a Ford? A GM 6L90? Somehow an AISIN? Do our ECMs speak J1989 (or whatever SAE speak) to communicate with a Fuller Auto-Shift or Ultra-Shift (the automated version of BlueOx01's manual trans). Or are we auto guys stuck with 47RE/H transmissions? And by pile of money Imy talking Saudi prince or Jeff Bezos, etc.
  10. Sounds like a good opportunity to slap in an Allison with standalone controller.
  11. The "Dave Ramsey" and "old grumpy dad" in me says to instead buy some 150s from DAP and source either a stock HX35 or that HE351W I shared before. Would HAVE to be way less money and you could use that until you have a pile of money for the 2-turbo setup. With that setup you could follow Mike's setup almost exactly. Sell your current turbo and keep the injectors. I figure someone should throw out the stick-in-the-mud advice, can't believe it's me!

Waytek is a seller of a VAST array of electrical goods that may interest many members of and visitors to this forum. I believe they have a minimum order amount, but their prices are great for DIY people. I really can't describe all the stuff they have, and I feel the website is (currently) well organized and easy to navigate. I sourced HELLA relays and very heavy duty duty pigtails from them for some projects. If you can't easily source electrical components locally, I suggest you at least give Waytek a look, even just to get a feel for pricing. There is a lot of what seems like good advice at the below link, such as selecting circuit breakers, and extending the life of automotive wiring and connections. Many blogs here for learning. https://info.waytekwire.com/blog
  13. That whole post you made is fantastic for helping us mere mortals learn a little more about how these operate. @Mopar1973Man I think it would be beneficial to have a folder somewhere on this site where we can cut and paste these kernels of knowledge that show up in random, otherwise barely related posts. Maybe it could start as a sticky thread where we members can copy and paste these tidbits, then at some point one of us can take them, clean them up, and make an article of sorts? I just don't know how to do all of this on a webpage. I can dig around and find some posts I remember were helpful and copy them into a Word file, if that is helpful.
  14. Oh, that's great! Not sure why I thought it was 1,500.
  15. I understand the Adrenaline doesn't do much, if anything, under 1,500 RPM (or thereabouts), but does it adjust CANbus fueling at lower engine speed? Just an ignorant question since we're on the topic.
  16. I tried nearly everything on my truck for a few years, having to lube almost monthly. Then whatever I used the last time has been great, probably 9-12 months and door still opens great! Unfortunately I don't remember what I used 😂. It may have been Fluid Film as I had just purchased a couple cans around then and was trying it on all kinds of things.
  17. Could it be the crossover tube on a cylinder or two are cockeyed? In Mike's article there is a specific procedure given for tightening tubes and injectors. I'm no expert in this, it's just a thought.

I have sourced several parts for my truck from LMC, and all have been of good quality. VERY happy with the door gaskets I received several years ago. I live nearby so do all my shopping in person. I can say that in my experiences, the people there knew their stuff. Their catalog is great for knowing what you may run into when disassembling parts of the truck, like the interior. They have all the fasteners you need to match existing. From the vendor: "Long Motor Corporation has over 30 years in business, and with over 30,000 truck parts in stock, we ship most orders complete within 24-48 business hours. Our truck/SUV part catalogs are the most detailed, fully illustrated and accurate information source available anywhere. Some customers say our catalogs become their restoration guidebook."
  19. Once I get my laptop fired up I'll try to figure that out.
  20. I put the LMC plastic ones on my truck about 70k miles ago, still doing their job. I use my tailgate a lot and they've held up good. Will definitely buy again if eventually wear out.
  21. Thanks everyone. They just let me out of the hospital and wife is driving me home now. Lots of rest is on the schedule! I was trimming limbs and one kicked out and knocked the ladder out from underneath me. The thing is, I actually went to the garage to get a strap/rope to fasten the ladder. By the time I walked to the garage I forgot why I went in there! So, here I am. The 10 pound weight restriction is going to be tough!
  22. I fractured two vertebrae today, but at least it will heal on its own and I can walk. I hope I never need knee or hip surgery! That would be awful not walking for a while.
  23. I bought my buddy a $60 bottle of wheated bourbon for his birthday, not knowing what it was. While he and I both enjoy the intense flavors of rye, we were both amazed at how flavorful and smooth the wheated variety was. It was also ridiculously high in proof (over 120) yet no burn at all! Super smooth. Dangerous stuff, thankfully at that price we just limited ourselves to about half a shot glass each.
  24. DAP +150 injectors set to 325 BAR and either an HX35/40 hybrid or the HE351W (around $550 with shipping) since you have the band clamp style downpipe already. https://www.benzforce.com/collections/holset-he351-parts/products/new-genuine-holset-he351w-4043980-4043982-he351 With Mike's 28 MPG tune, it should pay for itself in little time.
  25. DAP lists 6x.013 injectors as "325 HP". (325+235)/235 = 2.38. Your injectors supposedly inject 2.38 times as much fuel as injectors normally used with that SO injection pump. The reciprocal of 2.38 is about .42, so I would try lowering your canbus, not raising it. Maybe to 50 or 60%. See if it helps. Your HO engine has higher compression than a SO engine, so it may not need more timing. The extra heat of compression should help your fuel light off. And if the injector pop-off is low, that is essentially adding timing. I have no experience with any of this, so take the following with a massive grain of salt: Since putting in smaller injectors economically isn't an option, I'd back things down and work up if it was my truck.
