Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
this one was on sale at lowes for 200. its an oklahoma joes and i like it. its a good conpromise between heavy duty and practical to move by hand. the metal is thick enough to weld on if necessary. i like it a lot for the money. Heres a sauce recipe i use. Its from The_Camp_Ninja on ar15.com. If you can, cook it outside. its like napalm in the house. Years ago, I used to be active on a USENET (remember THAT?) BBQ board, and occasionally i would make some and give it away free to the first few responders, kinda like I do Dead shows 'round here. I had one old boy who bought it by the gallon from me for a while, after I sent him some. It's THAT good. Like I said, it's 3 generations old, which means it came to us via "the help", in the "Old South", if you follow me. This was my wife's Great G.mama's "help", and from what I understand, they were great folks. The recipe has NEVER deviated from the family, until now. This is the only way I can rid myself of it! I've been with you fine folks for a LONG time, have made many good friends here, and want to share it here. Sorry for making such a big deal about a damned sauce, but it *really* is a big deal. When you make it, you will see. It is primarily a marinade, but can be used on ANYTHING. Pulled pork is especially delicious with it drizzled on top. Put it on your white rice. Hell, all your veggies! Once cooked, it keeps FOREVER, and like fine wine, actually improves with age. Dip meats in it. Marinate with it. Put it on sammiches. Cook with it. The possibilities are, indeed, endless. So, now I'll shut up and give it to you. The only thing I won't give you is the name it has always been called, that stays with us. You can just call it damned good! "The Sauce" *1 Large can of Tomato juice, and two "small ones", unsalted, if you can get it. *6 Quarts of apple cider vinegar. *1 Lb. salt. *1/2 Lb. black pepper. *2 Tsp. cayenne pepper. *4 Tbsp. ground clove. *8 Tsp. ground allspice. *4 Lb. brown sugar. Now, here's the important part: ya gotta cook it. At least 6 hours, overnight is the preferred method. Mix it all together, and cook it. At the end, it should be about a 1/3 reduction. Bring it to a boil, then simmer 'till done. Take care not to scorch it, this will ruin your batch. It should reduce to about 65% original volume.

Hello; New Member from Kodiak, Alaska
welcome. as for the 35f... are you meaning -35f? the truck should be happy below 35f, and well below if plugged in. ive had to start mine at -25f and it was cranky, but ran fine once warmed up. i wonder if your grid heater is working properly.

Teardown and Rebuild
resonator is a must. I like mine, but it was awful straight piped. i still get drone from time to time, but the drone that bothers me is the resonance that is periodic wwwwOoooRrrrmmmm.... WwwwwOOOOOrrrrmmmMmmm.... periodic happens on occasion at low power settings on a hot day around town. the regular drone is pretty much like being on a turboprop and is mainly fatiguing.

- New toy!! Could use some pointers from the hotrodders
I feel ya. LSx crate motors are cheap. New hemis arent by comparison. Ive been dreaming about heads for a 340 again, and there are only two castings that will work for me. and, both are pricey.- New toy!! Could use some pointers from the hotrodders
Chevy guys only.- New toy!! Could use some pointers from the hotrodders
No idea on compatibility. I am a mopar guy. For ignition, it depends on how much work you want to do. MSD is the best, but the factory system is likely just fine with some parts added. You get the system to match the engine, not the car. Make sure you get the right cam gear if there is a distributor gear on the end of the distributor. Some cams require different gear materials. Depending on the manifold you have on the 350, you can pick a square or spread bore carb. A 600cfm Edelbrock Performer would likely do fine. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/mc/carburetors/performer.shtml- Knocking sound.
Option b would be loosen the injector lines until you find the bad one... or don't.- been busy
Awesome dude! Loves was probably my favorite for road trips... Although, on a trip back to Virginia recently one of my crew introduced me to WaWas. WaWas is now my favorite gas station. I mean, it isn't in the same category as chick fil a, but hey... Whats on the agenda for now? Aside from a well deserved six pack or Jamison on ice?- Longer cranking...
IMO, jic/flare fittings shouldn't need loctite. Not worth the effort or pain and if the loctite gets in on the sealing surface it could cause a leak.- Thermostat temp
As long as it stays stable when its warmed up and running at a steady speed, I don't care. When its summer and I am pulling heavy with AC on, I just want to see any swings stay within the normal range.- Longer cranking...
If a flare style fitting leaks the sealing surface is dirty or damaged. Damage can include surface inconsistencies or cracks.- Thermostat temp
welcome. the smell isn't normal, however it is normal for the temp to overshoot and then settle down. the trucks have an oversized cooling system, and work well. you should consider pulling the radiator and cleaning it along with changing your coolant. coolant turns acidic over time and the factory oil breather likely covered the fan and radiator with oil and dirt. i dont like idiot lights. gauges will give you a much better eye on stuff.- Teardown and Rebuild
that isnt necessarily a bad thing. as long as the ac stays cold you know you're getting airflow.- Teardown and Rebuild
mine doesnt kick at a set coolant temp, but when the fan heat soaks enough. like stop and go after a pull on a hot day.... when just towing, it rarely comes on.- Teardown and Rebuild
same sound here. big rig fan.- P0216 after Tappet cover gasket replacement
So you haven't run the truck yet? I'd try clearing the codes and see if it comes back.- Another Arduino Project being dreamed up...Smoke output throttle reducer
Totally agree with nick on that one. Liability is nuts. I won't have any part of it. Shareware, mabe, but sale? nein.- 2002 5.9 died while driving, will not start
glad it worked out. i try to carry a wrench to bleed injectors as ive got air in the lines from snapping the throttle shut with my TST dialed up. i had plenty of fuel.- ???disc vs drum brakes
then I'll buy your twin setup.- Lost another alternator...
ive done that. my mechman alternator is within our accepted standard spec at all rpms. - Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
