My power to the starter failed, so I wired a push-button to the starter solenoid. Evey thing else off the key functions as before

My problem was not the fix described in the referenced post, mine was the motor did not operate. I did use the heater-treater kit for my ford ranger and it worked well

:hyper:The gear housing is just clipped together, seperate the 2 halves. Look at the orientation of the motor assembly and the remove it. My motor was "stuck". I broke it free and exercised it by hand; reassembled and I now have heat control again without spending $135!!!! Sorry; I neglected to take pictures

Possibly big problems, kinda doubt it, need 24V info from the masters
I had/have a cracked neg terminal on my drivers side OEM cable. When I cut the old terminal off and stripped it back, the cable was completely oxidized. I have a new cable from http://custombatterycables.com/application/dodge_ram.htm on its way; untilit arrives I have a cheater terminal installed
