2002 5.9 died while driving, will not start
I have that same Airtex pump on my truck but only use it as a backup and have it disconnected since I have a Fuel Boss pump. When I have run only the Airtex pump I'm getting 15-16psi at idle and 11-12psi at WOT, so not a very good main lift pump.

Any reccomendations on a good DVM
When buying on E-Bay look out for Chines knock-offs. If the price is super low and it says it's shipped from Hong Kong I don't think I buy it.

Injector Rattle/Pinging/Panging
A knock is just a louder ping. If the only thing you changed are the injectors and this problem arose then I'd be looking at having them tested / replaced.

NV 5600 rear output seal and bushing R&R
Fast way to check if the rear trans bushing either auto or manual is with the trans in neutral and no load on the driveshaft grab the front yoke and push up and down on it. If there is any play then the bushing is worn. With 217,000k on it I'd replace it with the seal.

No power to my cruise.
Check the vacuum line and wires going to the cruise control servo which is located under the left battery box and in the left inner fender. You may need to pull the battery and battery box out. Over the years I've see lots of strange things and damage caused by rodents. One might have just eaten through a vacuum hose. You won't get a 12v reading at the switches. Only two wires come out of those switches. A red/ lightgreen wire to pin #32 (speed control switch signal) at the PCM and a black/ light-blue wire to pin #4 (sensor ground) at the PCM.

The stock fuel transfer pump is not supplied by a relay but by the engine control module (ECM) from pins #15 and #35 by a yellow/white 18 agw wire. The black/white 18 agw wire is the ground. I would use a relay with the yellow/white wire for the triggering signal at terminal #86 and wire it as shown below.

AC question
The leak is probably at the evaporator under the dash or the O-rings at joints. That tubing behind the battery is the high pressure line coming from the condenser going to the evaporator and the expansion valve is in that line. The noise you're hearing is the pressures equalizing at the expansion valve.

My live data for map shows with key on and engine running or not 101Kpa (14.65psi) @ 700'. Why are you adding 2psi for altitude? I thought that as you go up in altitude, atmospheric pressure decreased.

Power Steering (hydroboost)
You're going to have to clean all the potential leak areas IE: PS pump. Steering box, Hydro boost unit, all hoses and fittings. Now start the engine and start looking for a leak. Use a bright flashlight take your time. If it's not a gusher it will take awhile to appear. Have a helper turn the steering wheel from full lock to full lock this will cause the pump to produce full pressure in the system.

Multiple A/C parts replaced now what about PAG Oil
I've heard of them but don't think I've ever used that brand. I use mostly the Valeo brand for the Volvos I work on. Does it come with new O-rings or do you have to get the separately? $180.99 is a cheap price. I'd be look on line for some 3ed party review. I found one review where a shop in Texas said they had a bad batch of compressors for the GM models. Read the warranty info, any manufacture will want proof of a system flush.

Power Steering (hydroboost)
1. The seal in the vacuum pump seals engine oil not the power steering pump. Look further for the P/S leak: at the pump itself, the steering box, the hydro boost, the pressure/return lines or fittings. 2. If the power steering pump is low on fluid there would be brake peddle pulsation with the steering not being smooth. If the reservoir was out of fluid than you would lose all power steering and power brake function with the power steering pump being damaged and noisy. 3.Flow is from steering fluid reservoir to pump where it is pressurized up to 1200 psi. At the hydro boost there are three fluid lines: one line supplies the pressurized fluid to the hydro boost, one line supplies pressurized fluid from the hydro boost to the power steering box, the third line is low pressure fluid retune to the power steering reservoir. On the reservoir is a second low pressure return line for the power steer box.

The vehicle manufacture designed the AC system with a known oil capacity. The AC compressor manufacture builds the parts to the vehicle manufacture's specification. The 6.2 oz is not the amount of oil in just the compressor but the whole system. That's why when you replace just the compressor the old compressor must be drained of oil and the amount measured. If you drain 3 oz out, put 3 oz of fresh oil into the new compressor. "Too little oil will result in damage to the compressor. Too much oil will reduce the cooling capacity of the air conditioning system." A little to much is better than not enough.

The dodge service manual says 6.2 oz, ALLDATA says 6.2 oz, Tech Choice parts oil capacity chart says 6.25 oz., the side of a compressor says 7.43 oz. STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT OIL LEVEL ( 2001 Dodge service manual page24-57) "It is important to have the correct amount of oil in the refrigerant system. This ensures proper lubrication of the compressor. Too little oil will result in damage to the compressor. Too much oil will reduce the cooling capacity of the air conditioning system."
