I got a job where I have to use 4wd a lot. Would it be less likely to give me trouble and if I change out the vacuum hoses? They are original.

Power distribution center burnt up
Same as me only I went ahead and sanded the connecting surfaces anyway. I found the chrome coating on the terminal was rather soft and sanded off easily. When I put it back together the headlights were brighter enough that you could tell. I don't know...... maybe just psychologically brighter. Thanks to Dale for sharing this and showing where this important ground exists . Everytime I looked in there I never noticed it. Dripley, chickens that fly in truck windows aren't very well grounded.

What makes 24 valves sound different from each other?
I just changed my vibration Dampner and thought it made only a little bit of difference, but after I got it out on the highway..... Wow, it was a huge difference from the old one that had about a 1/16th inch wobble. It's like a brand new truck and I thought I had a slight lope as well You can see your old one wobble while idling as it sort of 'ghosts' itself there enough to see it.

Power distribution center burnt up
I pulled my battery tray, cruise control servo and everything and did not find any ground except one just in front of the battery tray above the headlight, but down low. Dale is that the one? The one in the picture is pure garbage W-T would be more than appalled.

Electrical Help - Power Mirrors and Dome Light
Dripley test your AC noise with the air conditioning turned on. Several tries might reveal something like when you try making it do it again and again.

Electrical Help - Power Mirrors and Dome Light
So before they could change the FSM they just ganged it with another at a different location? So next time it quits leave the dome light on and wiggle or push wiring around till it comes on. Wait....you know that.

Electrical Help - Power Mirrors and Dome Light
Trying to understand it. Is it possible a burned light bulb and bad mirror switch happened about the same time? All I can do is guess. I'm sorry.

So he can't have a simple laptop to read up on the forum? Some are only 200 bucks something like that.

Sometimes worry pays off when it causes you to figure out an idea or innovative way on how to do something.

Thank you I have a real need to get in my truck and get away.

Running board pics!
I think thats the ones I got.... factory aluminums. It helps a little to drill drain holes in the plastic step so water drains and won't freeze on there.

I like hearing about someone like you going the extra effort/ mile to take care of his truck. Sounds like its going to be nice truck.

Fuel leak
We give 'em a hard time James cause he builds chicken restaurants all over the country. He does know his stuff tho about what our injection pumps need. I do know you got too small of fuel lines if they are stock size it just slowly kills the VP44.
-
Fuel leak
James Merritt you have me totally concerned about what you have done and what is showing in you picture Let me ask; Is that Tee your showing with the fuel pressure sensor on the return fuel line? A fuel pressure sensor has to be on the fuel supply line not the return line. So you got me more baffled than ever here. Please respond before I send a big honkin chicken over there to peck your work to death or you to death which ever comes first. Believe me you don't want Dripley on your case, his peck is worse than a bite

Fuel leak
All joking aside... why not move that problematic tee? There is no high pressure and my fuel returns dump into the fill necks on both trucks. so no big deal right? It is my estimation that tee is a poor location when it can be easily moved for servicing elsewhere.
-
Fuel leak
Huhh! My fuel line hose does not kink it is high pressure diesel fuel line hose. It expensive but cheap compared to what it is and how long the stuff lasts. It does not like to kink.

Fuel leak
What about removing the Tee and relocate so its easier to get to? Using hose clamps, flexible fuel line and a brass barbed Tee, it seems best to locate the Tee down low on the frame where it is easier to get to. Anyone see any problems with this mod?

killer dowel pin question
By doing what is said above in this thread. I worry not knowing if my trucks have the KDP or not. I have an 01 and an 02. It's less likely the 02 was built with a KDP, but no way to know for sure.
