  1. I usually do dry camp. Daniel had to have full hooks cause he runs his fifth wheel like a gourmet restaurant. CSM, one day everyone is going to show up at Mikes house, the way he keeps talking and we'll need that equipment to feed everyone.
  2. No problem. We have many threads requesting scrambled eggs and end up omelets. . Brett what did you do to get rid of the issue with the seat belts?
  3. x2 I used to live in Kodiak. Everything was gravel roads back when I was there
  4. I ran all out of b.s. Yea I know when your kidding.... any mods at the eclipse camp don't let me near an open engine
  5. Yeah that was fun IBM. No time schedule, just sleep, eat, fish, shoot targets and bullshit.
  6. I was hoping you'd notice the beautiful Dolly Paton like lady in the camper window!
  7. You R welcome.... keeping my fingers crossed now that you spent some money.
  8. Something new...My brother and a big ole' honkin' tree down in California mtns.
  9. BIG BLACK DODGE, what kind of fuel pressures do you see with the new intank lift pump? The town talk is it needs to come out and get a different pump. Plus some other things to make it right.
  10. That impact assault ratchet ain't nothin'... you ought to see Wild and Free's rocket launcher used for the fourth of july. Please don't aim toward my house.
  11. It is beautiful up there....... a place where there are no clocks nor time.
  12. I'm glad this subject came up. I have to get in there and lube those latches/ linkage since it can cause a real problem. Thanks Boss Hog, I hope you get it figured out.
  13. Mike walked me thru rebuilding the calipers myself. They work great with no problems like before. I think it is better to rebuild them yourself as it is a better job that way.
  14. Just something about those tractors always look right esp. a JD.
  15. Part of the problem too is these shops don't realize that Dodge engineers screwed on the fuel system and needs total revamping/ redo on it.
  16. Wow that's interesting.... contrary to anything I've ever read I would do what Richard is saying but make sure you run both filters. Could run the oem filter as an option by plumbing into to the oem filter in an emergency if you ever got a bad batch of fuel. Dorkweed I thank you for starting the 2 cycle thing. My 12 valve used to run like crap on the new ULSD and then tried 30 wt. oil. tI was better but since I heard the 2 stroke idea, I've gone all for it. It makes a noticeable difference.
  17. I think there is a guy here that runs his lift pump off the alternator. Not sure though. The best is directly off the battery controlled thru a relay by the ECM, but, it sounds like the ECM is not functioning correctly. In my situation I would somehow by pass the ecm if possible... run off the battery with a relay controlled by oil pressure switch possibly. Aside note..... does he have an aftermarket lift pump, no intank pump? With no banjo bolts and a Fuel pressure gauge? Good aftermarket filter too? These items are important so you can maintain at least 14 p.s.i. of clean fuel at all times.
  18. It is different thinking to me cause putting on the dual filter set up ( I'm assuming are inseparable) negates the ability to a put a large micron w/s filter, pre lift pump and a small micron after the lift pump. A large micron may not be more restrictive than a screen, I don't know, if large enough but, you get better water separation abilitty before the lift pump gets a chance to egg beat it into micro droplets where it can't be separated . This discussion is interesting ... I could be way off base here
  19. Okay.......... just did some research on the fuel boss... turns out the regulator gets clogged with dirt without a filter in front of it. So I would be looking for a way to install the prefilter. I would not worry about cavitation since the industry standard for a pre lift pump filter is definatly needed.
  20. Another reason to the list of why second gens are holding up in value.
  21. I think Dave uses one for a macerator on his rv. In all seriousness, I think its a good thing trying to get the twin filters on there. In trying to think of an area that would save extra plumbing but, can't see it unless you do go back behind the trans somewhere. Also think it important to get filtering after the fuel boss since it will be throwing small wear particles into the fuel as it ages.
  22. That is a good rule that way the smaller oem filter does not ever get over whelmed or clogged in a hurry.
  23. I have replaced them on my 1992 is basically the same floating axle except for the drum versus disc brakes. Only when I put new ones in I had them backwards. So make sure you put them in the right way cause yours might be in the wrong way. They get damaged when backwards, so new ones are what you want. Taking pictures of the way it all goes back together is good.
