  1. Okay I did as described above, checking diaphram and cleaned and lubed the fuel pin. Maybe runs a little smother but still has the same lazy horse power as it was. What to check next? I rechecked all clamps and hoses. How do you check for waste gate problems?
  2. Killer, even if you got the worse case scenario... with perhaps a new VP or new injectors, you need the 1/2'' lines and a good lift pump. I'd start there to maybe find the problem at least. I had the elect. F/P gauge and after three bad sending units in 4 years I dumped it in favor of the most highly recommended all matching gauges. It is a world of difference to say the least. Good gauges are worth their money
  3. Interesting.....and if rebuildible that's great. I'd remove the screen and add a big w/s filter prior to this pump. Does anyone know if they are lasting any length of time? AlCorr, I don't see the big line kit in your sig..... perhaps pressures could be even better with the big line kit and draw straw.
  4. Naw... I dropped glasses in wood stove long time ago. You know, O'care only allowed plastic melt lenses.
  5. Honey....I fell against the stove, burnt my bun , has 6 inch blister.'' :omg:'', she says, but our insurance got canceled.... Yeah, Hurts like hell.
  6. My big concern is the intank lift pump and f/p your reporting on your gauge. You say you are running 20 psi of fuel pressure... I have never heard of those pressures with an intank pump. Me thinks your gauge might be going bad. The electric sender gauge, if that is, while showing 20 could actually be little to no pressure. Electrical gauges are known for going bad. I always start with the least expensive that knows it needs to get changed anyway. That way hopin' to help least expensive way. Mike
  7. Thanks... that's not bad.... my raptor 100 will drop to around 14 when I get on it hauling heavy up a hill.
  8. If it were me I'd save my money till you check for water building up in the fuel system and/or tank. Pull your oem fuel filter cap (undrained) and see for lots of water in the bottom. Change filter, of course, after draining. Next, I would go get a piece of clear tubing, hook it up in place of a piece of fuel line on the pressure side of the lift pump, not suction side, and see if you have any air bubbles passing thru when running rough. I'd probably pull the tank and get a look see..... look at the filter screens at the bottom of the canister.... the bottom of the tank for dirt and water. At same time change the draw straw and run new 1/2'' lines, possibly, if you haven't already done that. Place a nice size water sep. filter prior to the lift pump. Also....check for tank collapse syndrom/ sucking air when you pull the fuel cap off after a run. The only known factor here is I could be 1000 % wrong :banghead:
  9. I did not know that those are rebuildable. What kind of fuel pressures are you seeing with this pump? On a side note; I have rebuilt carbs and one or two different type pumps. Generally easy to do
  10. Merry Christmas to you and all your family and friends as well I heard Santa's gettin' a Cummins put in his sleigh too!
  11. I had a sun visor keep doing that. It would swing down with evey vibration in the road. I put rubber cement/ contact cement on the steel shaft and slide it back on. Once the cement dried it stays up and still can get adjusted down when I need it. It's the same non water base stuff (hot stuff) used for laminate countertops. If you can reach in there with a wire and get some in there or just drip it inside some. It would take a while to dry in cold but you could tape it in the mean time. I think this way would put just enough bind on it to stay and still be adjustable. On edit.... I just remembered having the glass replaced on one of mine. Once you get the glass off there are large access holes, maybe about an inch or so, thru the plastic that the glass mounts to. I remember the glass shop had to use a small scraper to take the glass/ break off in pieces as he pried it off. He was wearing goggles
  12. I had a client that had me build an insulated heated building around his diesel tank. Sort of like a small pole building style to keep cost down. We wired it and he put in a small radiant heater in there
  13. I'll have to check that out and see if mines going rusty. Easie for me with my in bed tank access door. I still need to get up some pics for you guys
  14. Some good suggestions..... 24Vdogde, do you know what caused the pinhole? Anything we need to watch for?
  15. I miss the back road forest lands in the background along with the trucks. I just found out that I can't click the lower right box to tell the poster I like his post. It only tells me I've reached my quota for the day, so no go.
  16. Honey how come all the trees are dieing around our place? Oh shoot! That guy said the wood might have pine beatle
  17. Honey, the Orkin Man said the $100,000 termite damage came from firewood stacked too close to the house.
  18. If you wipe it off with a white paper towel it will show the true color on the towel and show if it's coolant or brake fluid.
  19. Welcome from the West side of the country.

    Welcome from Oregon too!
  21. You see our Gov't is working off printed money so the hope is that our grandchildren will have gainful employment to pay it back. But Gov't keeps legislating with an ideology that hurts, cuts jobs. You and me... we work hard to produce goods and services that have a much longer lasting value to our country than those talking, legislating, arguing and delegating. They take home very high salaries and expensive benefits. Our hard working folks producing goods and services have a positive ripple effect throughout the economy. It helps hold the value of each dollar by producing something of good useful quality. Now with almost every dollar printed your pay becomes reduced in value. That's why tires and fuel cost so much with big jumps in prices. Including Health care costs, food, the list goes on and on. You see the bigger Gov't becomes the less value we will ultimatly have since all they do is talk or push value less papers with rules that further shut down freedom of jobs. Then they print larger sums of money for their own self perpetuation be it retirements, vacations and other perks like job security. And the Bible keeps on saying over and over,'' a nation divided against itself cannot stand''You see we need a constitution and a Bible to take our Lords precepts and set in our hearts so we are guided, stop arguing, and set a path toward real strength and honor.Pray for all of us in these times.Mike
  22. I love stories like this. I can attest to the fact that Our Lord works in mysterious ways. Ways that seemingly gets us so excited it prompts us to share the experience. I have seen things in my life change at the turn of a hat just by prayer and faith. Thanks again
