Mike, what kind of mileage are you getting when you tow your rv trailer, and how much does it weigh?My camper loaded is around 3,000 lbs and get around 14.1 mpg on back roads running about 60- 62 mph.Thanks.

As soon as we got the brakes fixed the steering gear box bracket broke. Now I'll be on my third one. Going to try and reinforce it somehow for the time being.

Tom, That is my thought too... to have less rotor wear as they are getting expensive. With me having a clean driving record I don't speed so I'm not hard on brakes.

Went to get the brakes fixed and the mechanic could not turn the truck left. He and I are both luckey we did not wreck or hurt someone. I had a new Steering box bracket put on last year and now today I could not drive the truck home till we get a new bracket since it broke again.Anyone know a good source? And how to reinforce it on a first gen 4x4 truck?TIA

On my 92 D250 the brakes are acting up. The pedal goes close to the floor, doesn't touch the floor, but you need to push very hard to get the brakes to work. It won't skid till you pump it up a lot of times then it acts normal and the pedal works normal without going near the floor. The front reservour in the master cylinder was 2/3rds low but, not much for leaks anywhere that I can see. The right rear has dust sticking to the rim near the rim holes but that's been there awhile.The vacuum booster has good hoses and clamps as far as I can tell......Any help is appreciated. It's my much needed work truck.T.I.A.

I don't know too much about electrical. Couldn't a guy take a portable radio, while the trucks idling and point the antenna at different areas under the hood to find the source of the RF noise ? I don't really know but wherever the loudest static comes from would be a clue?This is quite possibly the worst suggestion on the forum ever:cookoo:

I read something about the 'zapped' food changing the chemical make up and nutritional values become diminished.One study over a two month period had a group of people eating only microwaved food and showed signs of becoming anemic in one month. In two months they showed signs the anemia had progressed.Some people I talk with say the FDA does not really care all that much. that they'd rather have you not live so long collecting your social security. I hear you there flag. You got my prayers bud. We are the same age too. Mostly we just get out away from rest of the crowds. Do a lot of boondocking and some remote road trips. On a side note; some studies came out with results showing that the 'zapped' food is not good for us. W'ere starting to look into that one to see if it's true.

I decided to remove the microwave. I hardly ever need it and can use the counter for other things. I use the gen for charging Three batteries also. I bought the 1000 gen because it fits in the outside compartment.I did not go for the A/C option when I bought the camper. I only like camping up in the cooler mtns., lots of shade, lots of trees anyhow. Where the bears go, they seem to like the same things.

All I have is a 1000 watt generator so I'm wondering if a 750 watt Micro wave will not overload it even on start up? Thanks in Advance

Gosh for your own sake.... on the K&N filter....... you should open the intake tube between the turbo and the filter, run your fingertips inside and see if you have any dust at all. This where K&N got a bad rap cause guys were finding dust getting thru their filter.You don't need that cause turbo bearings are spinning over 100,000 times a second. Something like that. Hex, I think you might be right..... I was trying to place a positive note about all the strange things going on these days.

Turns out the program is heavily aimed at the college kids. Telling them in the past, we got this country all wrong. Teaching about the guys that were innovative enough, industrialized and developed this country are not the heroes but, bad people. It turns out that already 670 colleges have signed up for this agenda and the EPA is behind it all the way. so this is why we have the protests.... even the information fed to these kids is tantamount to brainwashing said the report, as they read some of the program on the show.So now why do we have less honest hard working folks that sign up for free entitlements today? Spread the wealth? What a bunch of H.S. I say you get rewarded only when you deserve it. I see these young kids act like it's automatically free... normal.... take advantage of another persons posessions and hard work.... not even respect the fact that you worked hard for something. Act like it's theirs to the point of helping themselves to your things without even asking. I've seen this more today than ever.How you gonna have less crime and instill honesty and hard work in this country when these gov't. spongers sit around feeding this stuff to our young kids How can they be like this???? :lol:I don't think things will get to where they take away all our guns... just the guys that have violent criminal records can't have them.I can't remember, but, there is a town somewhere, where the city gov't gets free law enforcement. Saves big money. It's because there is a law that says you must carry in town. Turns out there is no crime. Not much to speak of anyhow. There's other places in the world it's proven the more LEGAL guns the less crime. And I'd bet they are a very polite helpful bunch too... without grudges and not many terrorists either.
