Leaking Overhead Cab Marker Lights
I was careful thank you. Almost oil canned it once when it popped back unharmed Used a 6 ft. ladder from both sides. I have some residual moisture over the headliner so I got a little space heater going inside the cab for awhile. I think the pole building screw gaskets are working very well. So far no more water coming in.

What a slap in the face!
Wild and Free, I do appreciate your sense of ethics and putting out the news about this company and their practices. It's good to know.

Leaking Overhead Cab Marker Lights
Yep, I'm afraid of that too with the computer right there. Mine is leaking and coming down inside the passenger side pillar cover. I was afraid the speaker tweeter or computor would get damaged. I know this is a common problem so hoping someone will chime in.

Leaking Overhead Cab Marker Lights
Anyone know if it's just the screws that leak? I changed out all the little plastic washers under the screw heads using neoprene washers from pole barn metal screws. Seems to gasket pretty well but, wondering if the leak comes from the lens base instead. I was afraid to pull them up since they are stuck on. Might tear the gasket underneath. Tell me where the leak comes from :ashamed:TIA.

What a slap in the face!
Some businesses so cheap they don't know how to save. I've seen this before. Not exactly the same situation ,but similar. Imagine Menerds employees having to fly each day, probably no travel time, and have to have taxes taken out of a 9 dollar an hour check.Promise not to give Menerds any biz either. I mostly buy from the local family owned operations around here. They are much more helpful and they are nice folks.I know Home Depot pulled some stunts on me. I don't know about now..... I just don't go there anymore. Do you know how much a lead carpenter is getting up there? Even a guesstimate is okay

Air bags or Springs ?
I like the stronger brackets on my PacBrakes but, the left leaks about 10 lbs a month and the right leaks about 10 lbs a week. I don't like that aspect. I was very careful installing them to not get drill shavings in them.

Use caution when installing Raptor 100
Yep, I adjusted mine to 18 at idle now it runs 20- 21.5 psi. Should I lower it a wee bit?

Enhanced security.
By far a good idea to do this. You don't even have to live in the big cities now for your tailgate to go missing.

The solution
Yeah! Leave 'em high and dry without a paddle like they're doin' to us.

Truck got stolen this morning.....I'm lost
Do you have any pics of the truck.... Description.... anything especially identifiable on the rig? We all can keep an eye out. Although I doubt it would end up in my neck of the USA, but you could put it on all the forums too. I'll look around anyway if I know something to look for. They can put on phoney license plates so we need something that makes it identifiable. This might be a lesson to all of us to have some sort of visible outside modification. Might deter these crooks in the future. I really want a hidden battery switch or a hidden fuel shut off valve. The more the economy goes down the more this stuff will happen.Did you have full coverage on the truck? Hope they get it back.

BHAF Question....
Thanks Mopar. Mostly the truck carries the camper. So I drive very easy. Once in awhile it gets a short errand run empty. I worry about it sitting most of the time. I do remember to start it each week.

BHAF Question....
No MPG increase? Not till I do something with the exhaust too, I suppose.

BHAF Question....

Air bags or Springs ?
On my 02 I put on air bags. They don't interfere with the plastic fender liners. Be sure and get the air bags that go along side the frame on top of the leaf springs. With the firestone bags there is an upgrade of a stronger bracket you'll want to get. Unless you go with PacBrake brand. They come with a stronger mounting brackets. In the past I did the overload springs but the air bags were the biggest improvement. The overload springs gave way after a couple long hauls. I then added another stack of springs on top of the overloads but, they weakened also. Just go with some good air bags.

What's Going To Happen To Us, The U.S.A. you Guys?
Another problem too....... these rich retirements these gov't. guys get. It's another legal steal game.'' An example is the guy that's in charge of mosquito control in one county California. $159,000 dollars a year salary, then who knows what his retirement will be. Bill and Hillary Clinton after their Gov't service work right now make around $55,000 a month retirement. What will it be after Hillary retires from secretary of state? Basically We.... the American people are getting ripped off pretty bad. Someone has to pay for all this. The people that work for it, you and I, are adding the only real value to our economy. We get things done to help others in return. - - - Updated - - -.

Princess's Castle!
I've been a carpenter since 77 and using lots of glue does work well. I apply both mating surfaces and work it into the wood going back and forth like adding a primer. Then add just a little more after it sort of soaks into the wood.A hot glue gun may work well too, but not sure about long term durability.

What's Going To Happen To Us, The U.S.A. you Guys?
I agree. When Obama won the election, a real leader would tell the American people, ""I'm not here to represent only half the country. I would not want to celebrate much on such a divided set of voters, but, speak about leading a country as a president for all Americans. :smart:That would show leadership and wisdom.

What's Going To Happen To Us, The U.S.A. you Guys?
You have heard it all before with the out of control debt but just look around. Most of the money we rely on to keep the economic health we all depend on is coming from credit if you regress back to it's source. And Why is it that our home values stay about the same depressed price when the energy required to build and manufacture materials is continuing to skyrocket? What's that all about? Hey something is wrong hereThen you have the Gaza Strip, right during a cease fire agreement, loading up rockets onto a Gaza war ship. Rockets provided by Iran. Possibly long range ballistic missles too. They are heading for the Israli coast. Now I'm no presidential material but I do know right now Mr.Obama, you should be standing up and telling our nation and the Gaza Strip idiots we are heading out with our ships to protect Isreal with a blockade. Just like we did with Cuba. Now where are we headed with all this bs. America was strong and it made it's dollar strong.I just don't understand it and it makes me sick... sorry for the rant, but, where are we as nation headed?

-20 celsius truck barely started
Yeah I'm not sure either John. I just started doing the deep cycles because of the book I have. I haven't really seen any problems. They are not as expensive as an AGM is one thing

-20 celsius truck barely started
I've been using Deep cycles in both my ctd's for around 14 years now without problems. The reason I do that is because of all the stops I can make in a day, I sometimes leave my lights on for too long which will damage a starting battery in a hurry. With the deeper batteries I can wait for a bit after shutting off the lights and they recover enough to start the truck again. My deisel book says running deep cycles are a good idea and is a misconception that people say you can't do that. I do know that starting batteries throw more juice up front when cranking. I really don't know, I just do it Mainly because of the extra places/ studs on top of the batteries for wires and the stronger plates inside.
