Michael Nelson has always been right on when it comes to giving me advice on all the problems with my trucks. I don't care that he's obsessed with puney roller skate tires . I like mine too. He has saved me so much keeping me out of the dealers and away from another Dodge truck place. It's cool.... Best website on the planet. The only thing I could add to this thread was already said and that's about dragging brakes which my 02 has been notorious for. Everyone should check the temperature of each wheel on a regular basis. It will also save cooking the grease out of the wheel bearings which, if they suddenly fail, could send you head on into oncoming traffic or over the side of a mountain. One last item I might add.... With bigger tires and wheels withthe way my truck was suddenly thrown into the fast lane during a bearing failure.... I would not want big wheels and tires in an event like that. No telling how much effect they would have as the sudden loss of control could have been much more catastrophic.

Factory lift pump & After market lift pumps Caution !
Thanks for mentioning me giving me much credit W-T, but all I did was ask something about a 'donut dealy bob' that you originally educated me on about a year ago. After that, I began looking for that iron ring to show up somewhere in my shop anytime I was out there. Now that I found it.......is indeed the right size to help choke off that damn loud squawking chicken.

illegal immigrants
That's amazing people are willing to go thru that much pain to escape their own country. Affluent countries should show the poorer countries how to improve, help them develop into a great home for their own people. Doesn't seem too difficult unless a dictatorship has to be removed first. But then the dictatorship might be wanting their own people to flee to the U.S. for other various reasons.

Remembering our Lost Heroes Today....
My Dad, just 35 years old was in a Huey on rescue duty when it was blown up with a shape charge in DaNang Oct 1964. He was covering for a friend who hadn't had a chance to see the latest Movie brought to the base. Thank you to all Service vets and the families that made the greatest sacrifice.

Snap On tools are the best
That's what I think about too. There is a lot of work that behind a lot of those tools and them kids may never know or appreciate what you did. See I messed up thinking we were on the metal detecting thread. Dang I'm getting old. Anyhow, I would love to do that someday on historical sites. One gold coin can be worth what a Snap-On tool van is worth.

Snap On tools are the best
Dang..... I thought you'd get kick out of my comment there Dripley. I'm getting proficient with my new detector..... anyone care to post ideas for good areas for metal detecting and possible good targets Dripleys yard has too many pull tabs.

What do you mean Dripley? I heard the whole eastern half of the United States goes into recession till you make another bank deposit and things get rolling again .

Snap On tools are the best
Reason I like Snap-on is because they have all the specified sockets and specialty wrenches like the VE pump wrench I sent you Mike. That thing works like a charm and can't buy it at the common places. Harbor freight..... every socket set I looked at had some of the sizes missing. Even O'Reillys said to me, ''Oh you'll never need a 9 mm socket, thats why we don't sell that size....... I.E. Broken wheel bearing.... on the side of the freeway.... 1:30 in the morning... tow truck driver says, '' do you have a 9 mm socket so I can get the driveline off? Yep I just happen to have one from Snap-on . Good he says. I had my huge truck camper on the back so it couldn't be loaded on the flatbed, it had to be dollied. I found an old broken Snap-0n torque wrench, around 2 or 300 bucks now a days, they fixed and tested for 10 bucks. Its a very nice torque wrench now. I also needed a gear wrench with very small ratcheting clicks because of a very tight space. Sap-on guy says, ''is 85 clicks okay?'' Sheesh the thing is like swiss watch, It works so beautiful I only go to Snap-On when a specialty item is needed and when other places have no idea what your talking about and when you get there is like Christmas inside the van of theirs.

Anyone do any Metal Detecting?
Wholy-b-gin-nikies! BBHD, that looks like a bad one.... how did that happen? More like IBMobiles' wore out chasing girls after the dance. He always won their favor when mentioning Chic-Fil-A.

I did find IBMobiles new titanium hip. Just about blew the earphones off my head. You know every bit of practice helps learn more about it. LOL

Factory lift pump & After market lift pumps Caution !
I found the iron ring that came out of an old computer charging system. Could I use that as a simpler way to reduce AC noise from the lift pump? I think you told me that one could wrap the iron ring with quality wire (sort of like a winding), grounding it to the frame and run the lift pump harness through it. Also ground the lift pump housing. Would this be a alternative, not as good of course, but perhaps somewhat effective? Thank you in advance.

VE pump tune up

Brake Bleed Problems....
When bleeding the wheel cylinders on the rear you are supposed to start with the right rear then go to the left rear, (you mentioned you started with the left rear) Always bleeding furthest away from the Master cylinder first is industry standard.

Radio interference
Could be connected thu cigarette lighter socket for power. That's how my CB gets its power. Never any interference on the gauges though. All my grounds are tight and clean and does have an external antenna.

Anyone do any Metal Detecting?
Just got back camping with it. Fun learning how to use it. Found lots of empty shell casings and a few bullets. One live 22 round, 22 cents in change, no silver and some trash of course. Fun part is not knowing what you'll find when you hit a good target. You never know til you dig. Last camp on the way home had no one else there, but had to go after an hour of detecting. My titanium hammer got buried on the job so I'll be getting that back and there is an old stagecoach road to check out too . Hey..... how come I'm not at least a gold member? Sheesh you'd think I'm lead member the way you got me listed Mike!

Dripley, sometimes it would be better to run around in a moped wouldn't it?
