I am gonna take the oil pan drain plug and throw it as far as I can...........
JFYI, the magnets only work on and capture "ferrous"; aka, particles that contain Iron. All other particles are "immune" to the magnet. That includes silica, copper, silver, lead, etc........you know what I mean. I've got a "Fumoto Valve" in place of my pan plug. Works great. Got it from Genos Garage. Love it!!

Seafoam in a Common Rail
I'll give you one guess as to where he heard to use it from!!!

Few questions...
The high rail pressure is probably the FCA/Fuel Control Actuator. It's located on the CP3 and is the part with the electrical plug. It controls the amount of fuel entering the "pump" part of the CP3. They have been known to stick open.

No clear winner, powerwise..
I sure wish I had all the time that you spend digging all this stuff up!!!! Good info though!!!

No clear winner, powerwise..
What doesn't get measured in your graph; is, LUGABILITY!!! INLINE 6 baby. They'll "lug" at low RPM's way better than a V engine will. That's why they make the best towing engine set up!!! Bigger diameter pistons with a longer stroke makes for a low RPM torque monster. I do realize the DuraMaxiPad makes similar numbers at the same rpm, but thats with 2 extra cylinders.........and it's made in Japan!!!!!!:banghead:

Milage report from my 05
On that last tank of fuel that I mentioned, there was also just under 200 miles towing my work trailer around suburbia here. I'm still using 1/2oz per 1 gallon of fuel with my 2 stroke ratio. I've got a real warm blooded truck. The hotter around here the better my truck likes it......mileagewise. I hate the hotter weather......workwise!!!!!! If it never got over 65-70 degrees, this cowboy would be super happy!!!!:thumbup2:

Milage report from my 05
I filled up this evening..........I had 631 miles on the tank of fuel and filled her with 30.xx gallons of diesel. I don't have the receipt in hand so I'm guessing on the exact gallon amount. Anyhow, I averaged 20.5mpg on that tank of fuel when hand calculated. The overhead "iie-O-meter" read 24.6 when I filled up. I'm happy!!!

Milage report from my 05
I get better mileage the warmer it is outside. Fluids are looser in the truck, the air is less dense and the fuel ignites and burns better in a warmer/hotter engine. I've got 524 miles on this tank of fuel now and the gauge just dropped below 1/4 tank. This'll be a 600 mile tank for sure.

Those were nice to watch...........but I'm a Lab guy!!!!!! I need to get some video of Spud doing what I do with him!!! Y'all will probably be surprised!!!!:stuned: I know y'all get tired of me posting my hunting pix of me and the boy, but I'm just so PROUD of him!!!!!:thumbup2: I got the "deal of the century" when I bought him!!!! Don't have any proof yet, but I do believe he's gonna be a Daddy in about 6.5-7 weeks. Bred him to a nice little chocolate Lab _____ about 2.5 weeks ago. I should hear if she took any time now. ---------- Post added at 09:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:44 PM ---------- I cannot believe that you cannot use the proper vernacular of "_____" to refer to a female dog on this forum!!!!!! I'm referencing my above post!!!! It is the proper terminology also!!!!

03 Loses pressure at temperature
Rail Pressure Relief Valve......RPRV. It's right on top of the rail.......about 2.5 inches tall with a fuel line coming off the top. Or one of the engine temperature sensors.........intake air, engine temp etc. To me it doesn't sound like a CP3 because everything is fine until "normal operating temps" are reached. It's gotta be a sensor IMHO!!!!
