RIP Joe Cocker
He died today after a struggle with cancer. He "covered" so many songs, and made them better versions than the originals. He has that "Ray Charlesness" quality to his voice that I just love. He'll be missed for sure.

Who's Burning?
When I first bought this house, the humidity this time of year would be 50-70%+ on my gauge. Then I put down a layer of 5mil visqueen? over the whole floor of the crawl space. That dropped the average humidity in my house for this time of year to about 45%. First year with my wood stove, the humidity level in my house didn't change much. Second year with wood stove, with an OAK (outside air kit) that was drawing combustion air from my crawl space, the humidity in my house dropped into the mid '20's!!!! Just saying.

E or D rated tires.
My work trailer is pretty close to the max on tires. I keep them filled to the max/load range C........50psi. When I need to replace them, I'm going with load range D!!! JFYI!!

Truck dies after fuel fill-up
When I fill up, I always click it to the slowest fill possible. Seems to sound less airy that way.

Who's Burning?
Put one on mine also. Didn't really need it as my house is not real tight; but I couldn't see using the INSIDE HEATED AIR to burn with. My outside air kit pulls air from my vented crawl space under the house. Works well and keeps the humidity level down in the crawl space.

Who's Burning?
That's where the "CAT" stoves shine. You can really turn these down, and they burn low and slow at a moderate heat level and they burn clean due to the catalyst the smoke goes thru prior to going up the chimney. Some folks with the "Blaze King" brand of stoves boast of 20 burn times. Burn times = usable heat.

Truck dies after fuel fill-up
I had a "sort of" similar issue on my way home from North Dakota in October. My truck never died, and it ran fine the whole time and rail pressure was normal. The weird thing was the way my Autometer lift pump gauge was acting. I described it here in this post..................................... I had a VERY WIERD experience driving home from NoDak yesterday with my electronic Autometer FP gauge after getting back on the highway after a fuel up. Pulled into the station, did everything I normally do when filling up.......................dump my 2 stroke oil in the tank, then swipe my card, wait for the card verification, grab the diesel line, pull my 2 stroke container out and insert diesel line and then dispense fuel. However; this pump sounded very odd.....................very AIRY sounding. Anyhow, the pump clicked off, and I go to top off.................it wouldn't let me top off. OK, I call it good, and we hit the road again. After we hit the road, the fuel gauge is reading about 3psi lower than normal and is bobbing anywhere from 3psi above normal to 6-8psi below. It acted this way for probably 50-60 miles before it settled to it's "normal" spot. I really think I got a bunch of AIR in my diesel at that fill up and as the bubbles went thru the Walbro FP it was causing the huge fluctuations I was seeing. My truck drove fine, and I couldn't "feel" anything in the way the truck drove while the gauge needle was dancing up and down. My gauge is next in line after the pump................then my 2 filters..............then the CP3. That's the only thing I can attribute this to. What y'all think???

DIY Tire Balancing
So what you're saying is that the "tire/wheel" combo is still put on the spinning machine then???

DIY Tire Balancing
Wouldn't the "trick" be knowing how many BB's to put into the tire???? Or do you just take a SWAG and call it good???

aprehension... taking down a beautiful shade tree
- Tuners and MPG
A totally stock 325HP 600ft.lb. '04.5-'07 truck should put down about 240-260HP and about 450-475ft.lbs. to the rear wheels on the rollers. That's figuring in 20-25% driveline loss, which is usually considered "normal". So you need to figure the "GAINS" the Smarty gives you off the stock rear wheel baseline..................not the OEM engine dyno numbers.- Frame off restoration

- Gotta A Noise Happening
Noise seems to be temperature dependent guys. Today is almost 50* and from a cold start today, there's no sound. Yesterday was a bit colder (about 35*) and I heard when I first started my truck.....................had several errands to run where I shut the truck down for a few minutes at each stop.....................when I got home, walking in front of the truck to open my garage, I didn't hear the sound. I also checked the PS fluid level....................right where it should be.................I used Amsoil the last time......................don't have any here now.- Tuners and MPG
If it helps you out; I run my Smarty Revo SO6 on SW5 default settings. That's the best "all around" setting for me....................I tow a lot and it doesn't get hot. SW7 gets a bit hot for everyday.- Gotta A Noise Happening
Will check guys..............It's been a while...................though steering feels fine. Thanks!!- Gotta A Noise Happening
No noise at all today guys!! As I said above, all my pulleys turn easily and have no wobble or deflection. Could my noise be the fluid within the fan clutch?? The noise was most noticeable during the real cold last week.........both at start up and after driving.................but I wasn't driving real far either, so maybe all my part never got fully "warmed up"??- Gotta A Noise Happening
Ran a few errands today. The noise was there when I left................could hear it when I closed the garage door. Upon getting home, I couldn't hear it opening the door. But today is in the 50's outside.................during the week, it never got out of the teens or twenties, with lows in the single digits.............save for yesterday and now today. Should the fan spin freely when spun by hand when the engine is cold??? Mine will turn, but it doesn't spin freely. No codes either.- Gotta A Noise Happening
OK guys; I backed off the belt tensioner and slid the belt off of the AC pulley. Checked/turned all the pulleys and guess what?????? A BIG FAT NOTHING!!!! No grinding, wobbling, frozen pulleys at all on anything. So I put the belt back on and put her all back together and turned the fan by hand in the direction it turns as if it were running. Question here............should it spin freely???? Mine would turn but I couldn't spin it, and there was a slight squeak to it doing this. What y'all think here??- Tried To Help Someone Out Today..............................and
