Yet another setback. It's always something
Just thought I would update on this situation. My knee still hurts, if I step wrong or especially if I twist just a little it sends a sharp pain through my knee. I'm beginning to think it could be a tear in the meniscus. It feels very similar to when I tore the right one a year or so ago. My last visit with the workers comp doctor was last Wednesday. He suggested physical therapy. I still have not heard from them to schedule anything. I was told they will call me. Just to wait until I hear from them to set it all up. So far crickets. If I did tear the meniscus in this knee I don't see how physical therapy will help anyway. Maybe I'm wrong. I did contact a lawyer to oversee the process with all of this to help me be sure that all paperwork is done properly and the company is doing their end according to law to avoid somehow being denied later due to something stupid. I have never had a workers comp claim before so that makes me feel a little better. Now to just get the treatment I need to get back to work. We are leaving for Florida Friday morning on a week long trip (cleared that with the lawyer to, lol) and hoping to get some of this stuff off my mind for a little while. With all that is going on in the world and now in my own life with this injury, I have been a bit stressed. I normally don't have anxiety but recently I think I'm getting very close. Time to try to decompress.

New injectors on the way.....
I've definitely been kicking around the idea of getting one. Then I'll see a post of someone having issues tuning. Kinda makes me leary ill admit. With fuel prices today, getting better mpg wouldn't be a bad thing. I daily drive more then anything. Almost always empty. (Seems almost like a waste for a 3500 drw, lol)

Then I would be looking at more mods. Heavier clutch, more gauges. (I'd like to have both the quad gauges and some on the A pilar) then who knows from there. An adrenaline will probably come into the mix eventually. That power bug can bite hard if one isn't careful. Lol

New injectors on the way.....
Just a quick update: Pulled my sons 5th wheel 120 miles to his seasonal campsite on Sunday. I could really notice the extra power while towing. His camper weighs in about 8-9k so not a bad little test run. Very happy with the extra grunt. Worth the money and time spent. Thanks again to Jacob @dieselautopower And a side note, on the 240 mile round trip, half towing half empty I used less than half a tank of fuel. Couldn't quite work out the fuel mpg since I didn't refill after the trip.

Replacing head gasket
You mention the rear cylinders if the engine were cold. I couldn't help but notice when I did my injectors that the 3 line closest to the block on the vp44 were the 3 rear cylinders. For the vp44 exberts here, could the vp44 have failed in a way to only supply pressure to essentially one side on the output lines on the high pressure side? He may be getting fuel at all lines but not enough to overcome pop pressure to fire the injectors.

New parts arrived today, put it all back together and all is well. Crisis averted. lol I also installed the battery and wired in the breakaway switch and added the 12v power wire to the 7-way to keep the battery charged.

Wow, that's expensive. They do make a valve that changes over when 1 tank runs empty. Bad thing is when you run out your out on both.

OH MY GOD! $7.69/gallon is ridiculous! @Mopar1973Man, has the wind died down for you at all? Lastnight you said you had like 30-40mph winds, that really affects travel in most cases.

Back to the drop in site traffic if I may. It's spring, people are getting outside to take care of landscaping, ready for camping, boating or whatever summer time activity they enjoy. I know I've been busy getting ready for a trip to Florida lately and working on the camper to enjoy that some this year to. I've had a couple issue pop up that I posted on here but for the most part it's all be routine maintenance and minor repair work. I get on regularly just to look around and see what's going on. I also feel a bit of duty to do so being a part of the staff but that's just be being a responsible adult.(can't belive I just said that) I think site traffic will come back up again once the initial summer bug bite wears down. As for particular members not being around much I can't speak to their individual situations but they may be lurking and just didn't have the time to add anything. Time will tell. P.S. I would like to point out that I tried my best to leave the political stuff alone this time. I would rant for a while on those subjects. But, that said. I pray for all of us in this great country.

My knees have been giving me trouble for a while. In 2021 I had to have surgery on my right knee for a torn meniscus and now the other one is giving me fits. I need to loose some weight myself. I'm tipping the scales at about 270lbs now. I'm 6'3" and have never been "thin" I'm not built that way. I am much more comfortable at 250 or less. I packed on 20lbs during the covid lock down and have yet to loose it again. Gotta work on that.

Ok, after closer inspection the bearing cups were removable. I removed both inner and outer cups, bearings and seal. Ordered all new. Should have the new parts on Tuesday.

Same here but just not sure how they did things back then. The frame it was built on was from the late 60's if I recall. If it ever stops raining I'll get out there and pull it apart again.

With it being so old I didnt know if it was a press in or if it was just machined into the casting.
