16" Wheels suggestions?
I have to ask, what is the difference in the 2nd gen to 3rd gen brakes? Sorry, to lazy to look it up this morning. As far as a wheel upgrade, what wheels are you running now? Mine has steel 7 hand hole wheels (dually) covered up by some chrome wheel covers. I could remove the covers and change the look of the truck.

Finally on our way to Florida!
More pics of the huge Harley dealer. Had to stop sending them. It was my turn to drive. Lol And more....... And some more. This place was big. Sorry for so many pictures.... The above pics were the lower level. The following are the upstairs. And a few more. And me and the wife in the giant chair outside. We had a great time! We just got home not long ago. Had just enough time to unload the bikes and all our stuff before the sun went down. Nice to be back home.

Finally on our way to Florida!
Ok! So Thursday was a good day. We went to coral castle in homested florida. Took the tour, very informative. Loved our tour guide, a woman I'd say in her 40's or so. She moved here from chili so had the accent but very easy to understand. She was amazing. So full of energy and pationate about the place. She was fun. She us in the first pic below, blue short with the white towel draped over her head. I have many pics of it but honestly, tou can see most of it online and get a much better story about it than I could give you. Very interesting. The whole place was built by 1 man only 5 feet tall and 100lbs. Amazing what he did there. Look it up, you won't regret it. https://coralcastle.com/ After the coral castle we went to Miami, walked the Pier and the the boardwalk along Miami Beach. Got a bite to eat at TGIFRIDAYS. Then went for a powerboat tour where they put roughly 40 people into a powerboat and go out into the bay and speed around for a bit then give a tour of some of the huge homes along the banks. Then time to go fast again! I got a pic of the orange tunnel boat. We were on the green V bow version. A few of the views from the powerboat We did not make it to Miami Harley Davidson however. Wife wanted to do the powerboat tour so I cut the dealer stop to make it happen. She had an absolute blast so it was well worth it. We left Fort Lauderdale Friday morning to begin our trip home. We decided to stop at one of the, if not THE largest Harley Davidson dealers in the country. Daytona Harley Davidson.

Finally on our way to Florida!
Lol, we have a few. And t-shirts and pictures. We rode a total of 500 miles on the bikes (at least mine) since we've been here. Tomorrow (Thursday) we are going to Homested Fl to see the Coral Castle then to Miami to see south beach and the Miami Harley dealer. (Gotta get more poker chips! Lol)

Finally on our way to Florida!
So we made it to key west on Monday. It was a long ride, took a while from Fort lauderdale. About a 4.5 hour trip if tou run straight down. Me and the wife at the southern most marker. Also had to visit Hogs Breath Saloon for a drink or two. And did a little shopping while down there too. And of course we had to shop at the southern most Harley Davidson dealer while in town. It was a long day. We left Fort Lauderdale about 8:30am. We finally got back at 1:30am. My butt was sore, arms hurt and sunburnt. Got caught in a few good florida downpours on the way back too. Tuesday we spent the entire day at the house to recoup. The wife and I both were whooped. Today we all kind of went and did our own thing. The wife and I visited Alligator Alley Harley Davidson in Fort Lauderdale. Nice big dealership. Bought a couple more shirts and a handful of the poker chips. Then we went on a boat tour through the million dollar home on the canal. Huge superyachts everywhere. And million dollar homes. The tour guide said the cheapest homes here sell for a bit over 5 mil. The more expensive ones are hitting 45 mil or more.

Finally on our way to Florida!
Wad a good day today. Sat at a nice little bar on Hollywood Beach and had a couple drinking before walking up and down the Broadwalk. Then we decided to rent a 4 person pedal bicycle. Looks like a buggy, 2 people side by side front and back. This was my view from the bar. You can see my bike in the foreground. Made a new friend today too. This is Lucy, a lady was walking around with her and she took a liking to me. All in all a great day. Looking forward to tomorrow. We're riding down to the keys ending in key west. Should be a good day!

Finally on our way to Florida!
That's the most I've ever paid for a burger and it was very plain and unexceptional.

Finally on our way to Florida!
Kinda cool, we have a bunch of the little lizards running around and a couple of iguanas living in the trees. We also stopped at a local restaurant for a quick bite. Not impressed, $16.50 for a standard cheeseburger. I just might do that......

Finally on our way to Florida!
Trailers may or may not require fenders. Not sure on that one but they are in the plans. So we made it to the house (air bnb rental) so far so good. Couple of pics of our first impressions.

Finally on our way to Florida!
We got the SUV packed up with all our luggage, there are 6 of us riding in the car together. Myself and wife, my son and his wife and my you gest daughter and her boyfriend. Taking 3 motorcycles with us to ride around Florida but the big trip will be on the bikes down highway 1through the keys ending in Key West. We headed out about 1pm on Friday. As of this post we are still driving we are presently about 110 miles from our rental house. We had a slight setback in ohio about 3 hours down the road when my motorcycle tipped o er a bit. No damage thanks to the wheel chocks I insisted we all get and bolt to the trailer deck. It seems that one strap on the rear of my bike was rubbing the tip of the exhaust and the metal eventually cut through it causing the problem. New strap in place, without the contact this time and we were on our way again. I'll post more once we get to the house. Oh, almost forgot. An update on the trailer. This is the same trailer I was discussing in another thread about bearings. All tires have been replaced within the past 1.5 years. No dry rot. I repacked the hubs before the trip. Found a bad bearing and race. Replaced inner and outer bearings and races along with the seal. I have checked the hubs for heat using my hand, tires too. So far no issues. Yesterday it was 90° and the hubs were warm but you could keep your hand on them. Tires were warm but same thing. So far I've been impressed with this little home built trailer. It started life as a camper sometime back in the late 60's and now serves as a flatbed. The 2 3500# axles give it a decent capacity. Just thought I'd add that little side note about the trailer

Yet another setback. It's always something
That's an interesting way to weigh things.

Yet another setback. It's always something
Yay, heading down hill fast and no Jake brake!

Yet another setback. It's always something
Yes, the older you get the more difficult it is to loose it. I've noticed that myself being I'm 51 now. 10 years ago I lost 15-20 no problem.

Yet another setback. It's always something
They always point out that your over weight, or you smoke or you need to exercise. Always something that you doing or not doing so it's your fault somehow. Do I need to exercise? Yes Should I stopped smoking? Yes Am I over weight? Yes I get all that but toy can't change things overnight either. Regardless of my bad habits and not running marathons, my knee is messed up. Let's deal with that first. Once I'm back to good I should try to loose some weight, cut back on the smoking and get some exercise but right now it would be difficult. Sound like an excuse but also truth.

Yet another setback. It's always something

Yet another setback. It's always something
Just thought I would update on this situation. My knee still hurts, if I step wrong or especially if I twist just a little it sends a sharp pain through my knee. I'm beginning to think it could be a tear in the meniscus. It feels very similar to when I tore the right one a year or so ago. My last visit with the workers comp doctor was last Wednesday. He suggested physical therapy. I still have not heard from them to schedule anything. I was told they will call me. Just to wait until I hear from them to set it all up. So far crickets. If I did tear the meniscus in this knee I don't see how physical therapy will help anyway. Maybe I'm wrong. I did contact a lawyer to oversee the process with all of this to help me be sure that all paperwork is done properly and the company is doing their end according to law to avoid somehow being denied later due to something stupid. I have never had a workers comp claim before so that makes me feel a little better. Now to just get the treatment I need to get back to work. We are leaving for Florida Friday morning on a week long trip (cleared that with the lawyer to, lol) and hoping to get some of this stuff off my mind for a little while. With all that is going on in the world and now in my own life with this injury, I have been a bit stressed. I normally don't have anxiety but recently I think I'm getting very close. Time to try to decompress.

New injectors on the way.....
I've definitely been kicking around the idea of getting one. Then I'll see a post of someone having issues tuning. Kinda makes me leary ill admit. With fuel prices today, getting better mpg wouldn't be a bad thing. I daily drive more then anything. Almost always empty. (Seems almost like a waste for a 3500 drw, lol)

New injectors on the way.....
Then I would be looking at more mods. Heavier clutch, more gauges. (I'd like to have both the quad gauges and some on the A pilar) then who knows from there. An adrenaline will probably come into the mix eventually. That power bug can bite hard if one isn't careful. Lol
