Aftermarket Brake Lines
I'm assuming this us just remove and replace? Looks like quality lines, stainless is always a great idea if you plan on keeping the truck for a long period of time like most of us here. This will get put on the list of future upgrades for my truck for sure.

endless NV5600 problems.
Is it difficult to pull the trans and transfer case other than the weight? They seem like heavy pieces. So, you said you had good feel to the clutch hydraulics now correct? Just chasing an oil leak at this point?

endless NV5600 problems.
Is it possible the front trans seal is leaking? I have not had to pull my trans for anything yet so I'm not familiar with what's in there. Don't get discouraged, these are great trucks. Sounds to me like the previous owner may have beat on that truck and neglected maintenance and repairs resulting from abuse.

CP4 pump recall
More reasons to stay in my 2nd gen truck. Plus I like the looks of it. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that modify a brand new truck. I agree, not the best thing to do for warranty but they do it. As time goes on and the trucks age and rack up miles there will be plenty of aftermarket offerings to fix the manufacturer short comings. Same happened for the 1st and 2nd gen trucks. Once @Mopar1973Man gets ahold of them he will straighten them out. Lol

RIP Her Majesty The Queen
I honestly don't know ow much about the queen herself. Rest in peace. I did admire princess Diana when she was alive. Very lovely woman both inside and out. I'm sure their government has its share of garbage same as ours. We need to take out the trash soon.

endless NV5600 problems.
I replaced my clutch hydraulics about a year and a half ago. I also purchased a pre-bled setup same as you did. I had issues with it after install also. I had to re-bleed the clutch master and slave both. After that all was well. I would start there, make sure to get ALL the air out, they do not like air bubbles at all. Once done with that drive it and see if she shifts smooth. You may have some synchros going bad. My 3rd gear synchro is out, I've been either floating 3rd or double clutching it. Mine is a stock (original as far as I know) clutch and an NV4500 (5 speed). Hope this helps.

F'ing Ford Ranger
I agree 100% ! So apparently if your not on board with their agenda now your an extremist. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. This administration is completely out of control and off the rails! Then they keep driving government debt higher and higher and inflation is borderline recession but they tell us it's all ok and normal WTF! Now taxes will go up to pay for all this crap and hurt the working class even more while the college idiots got a free ride and their student loans paid for so they can work at F'ing TACO BELL. HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY ?!?!?!?!

Yes they did, it's a handy little tractor around here. I use it often even if it's just to pick up heavy stuff so I don't have to. I also pull logs with it to cut firewood.

Ya know @Mopar1973Man, I drive fir a living (Car hauler). And it seems that 90% of the time when someone does something stupid out on the road they seem to be driving a ford. I could give many many examples but I'm just waking up and haven't had my coffee yet. Lol Now that I'm waking up, I do have to admit......I own 1 ford. A 1946 (IIRC) Ford 2N with a Freeman 500 front loader.

@Max Tune, your '02 looks just like my '01. Nice looking truck! It really make one appreciate how easy it is to work on the 2nd gen dodge cummins trucks doesn't it. Glad you finally got it done @Mopar1973Man, was a long tough battle but you finally prevailed.

That why I stay away from them if at all possible. Unfortunately, my daughter has the 2 and my niece has 1 as well. Fought with that one off and on for 2 weeks to find out that the cat was plugged up. It exoded 2 egr valves in the process and melted the tps and its harness. What a PITA. Good luck Mike, hope it starts to cooperate soon.

I absolutely believe they do that by request of the dealers. The service departments don't make money when we fix our own vehicles.

Anymore I try to avoid working on ford's unless it's an older one and I know for sure the process for said repair. Ford likes to make things very difficult for us diy people. For example, my daughter has 2 mercury mountaineers. An '07 and an '08. Neither one has a dipstick for the trans. We had to replace a leaking fitting on the radiator for the trans cooler. Of course then add some trans fluid to top it off. In order to do so we had to jack up the entire vehicle so it was level then remove a screw in plug to find a tiny dipstick (about 4" long) to add half a quart of trans fluid. To even do that it required a small hand pump that screws onto the oil bottle with a hose. No way you were gonna just pour it in, no room. Should have been a 10 minute fix. Nope, hour and a half later...... UGH

Traction Bars for short box 2wd
I run my fronts at 65psi all the time. Seems to turn and handle better as far as steering. Rears are at 40psi when empty, 50 when towing the camper. (10k fifth wheel). I was mainly referring the the spring setup he has on the rear. He would benefit from the base spring you pointed out to counter the spring wrap he is fighting.

Red Head steering gear boxes?
I have to say I have heard more feedback about blue top than any others. From what I've heard they're good.

Traction Bars for short box 2wd
How often do you tow with your truck? How much weight towing? Those make a difference too. With a truck it's difficult to have a cadillac ride and tow capacity at the same time.

thermostat help !!!
So @Nekkedbob, which thermostat was it that you decided to go with? I changed mine a year or so ago and noticed a temp fluctuation even just sitting at a trafic light on the factory gauge in the dash. I didnt feel it should flucuate that much but maybe so?
-
thermostat help !!!
At 15psi between the filter and vp44 you will still get return fuel through the vp44 like you would normally. @Mopar1973Man was saying that the Raptor type pump (mine is the 150) will regulate the pressure by rerouting the excess fuel above 15psi back through the head of the pump.
-
thermostat help !!!
So, it would probably be better for the pump itself and to eliminate the cavitation by running a 3 leg regulator? I know it would probably be better to just start with a all inclusive airdog (money permitting) but for those of us that did not.
-
thermostat help !!!
I shyed away from the full airdaog setup mainly because of price. That was alot of money to part with once the truck surprises you with a failed lift pump. Wasn't ready to spend that kinda coin
-
thermostat help !!!
I've been considering putting on an external regulator and just run the Raptor wide open. Have the external regulator return to the tank. This will all take place in the midst of moving the lift pump to the frame to be closer to the tank as well. That'll leave more room for another filter if needed.
