Nv4500 getting harder to get into gear
Lately I have noticed my 5 speed is getting harder to get into gear. I can feel the shifter moving between the gates like normal but then try to pull it into gear (mainly 2nd or reverse when stopped) it doesn't seem to want to go unless I press the clutch pedal firmly against the floorboard. It wasn't like that before, she used to slide into gear just fine. With a hydraulic clutch I'm assuming there is no adjustment? Is there a way I can check anything? Any other ideas? Thanks!

I believe it's time for a new dash
I don't think they manufacture anything but I believe they may have had a hand in the formula for the plastic resin it is made with. Just my theory.

I believe they do offer a few color choices

I've read good things about the LMC dash. They claim it will be the last dash your truck will ever need....... For the money it better be

Dirty turbo vane and what to do about it.
I wonder if my filter minder even works. My filter is somewhat dirty but the minder has not registered anything at all.

Dirty turbo vane and what to do about it.
@Mopar1973Man, how are you using the filter minder? Mine is mounted on the top portion of the oem filter box. Once a BHAF is used in place of that ???

Any benefits to having one of the filter wears pre filter covers on a BHAF? Or is it just to have a bit of color under the hood being they're available I'm several colors.

@dripley, like the cradle you made. Brand and part # of filter?

That's kinda how mine are. Don't appear to be a shiney edge but definitely turning a blackish color.

Been looking at them. I have the filter and filter wears cover in my list on amazon. Lol

I tried to see if there was any movement, didn't feel any. Tried side to side and in/out. Didn't feel anything noticable. I did notice the fram filter is starting to get pretty dirty. It isn't registering anything on the filter minder though. Maybe it don't work? May be time for a BHAF.

I'll have to try to get a better pic.

Dirty turbo vane and what to do about it.
I was under the hood working in something else not long ago and had to remove the intake tube between the filter and turbo and saw this. I am now concerned that somehow dirt or fine particles are passing through to the intercooler and engine. Is there a way to clean this wheel without complete disassembly? I would assume it's the filter letting this pass. It's a fram, not sure of the part#. It was in there and new when I bought the truck. Clamps and such were tight so leaves me to blame the filter. Thoughts????

Quadzilla adrenaline for mpg's is it worth it?
@LorenS, you mean your adrenaline is not working? What connection issue are you having?

Quadzilla adrenaline for mpg's is it worth it?
I went down that road back when I was younger, while in high school and a few years after. Kids, wife and other life expenses killed the racing budget. Anymore I don't really care for driving a car or riding in them for that matter. I love trucks and don't really want to race per say but some extra power above stock to set it apart is always good. I have buddies that like to hook their trucks together and play tug of war but I don't partake. I don't want to willingly abuse my truck like that.

Will it work on mine? I noticed your sig, your truck is a '99. Mine is an '01. Just asking...... Yeah, I've thought about the power bug biting me. I guess I could be addicted to much worse things right? Lol

@hdpwipmonkey, thanks so much for offering a "test drive" with a XZT. I sent you a message with my address. That's awesome of you, I appreciate it greatly.

I am still reading and comparing the adrenaline and the XZT+ for what I use my truck for which is mainly a daily driver and occasionally towing a 7500lb camper ( later maybe a larger one). I'm thinking a bit more power and mpg mostly. Cost IS a factor. Now that being said, I was reading some of the canned tunes from quad that can be loaded on the box from the factory. My question is, would the 2011 tune be best for what I'm thinking? Also, if I change injectors later to either rv275's or +50's will this tune still work properly? I have a screen shot of the tune below. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get the most from a limited budget. I'd like to get gauges, injectors and the XZT box. If I go with the adrenaline I may have to sideline something else for a bit. Thank you all for the input and the patience.

Quadzilla adrenaline for mpg's is it worth it?
I was wondering that myself. I don't want to have to do a ton of mods to support it right away. As for my signature, it's accurate. Pretty much a stock truck with a fass ddrp. At some point I want to change the fuel system to at least move the ddrp near the tank and run larger line with a draw straw.

Not to mention the untapped potential of the Cummins itself. Thanks for all that @Silverwolf2691. I'm very close to being on board. The technical part still intimidates me quite a bit but I suppose you can learn as you go and ask questions.

@Mopar1973Man, what kind of gains could I expect from an adrenaline on a basically stock engine? Eventually I will switch up to rv275's but want to go in stages as money allows. Will the gauges on the adrenaline be enough for a while until I get the a-pillar trio? Does the adrenaline come with a device for display or will I need to aquire an old smart phone or tablet of some sort? Sorry for all the questions, I'm hoping the time will come soon to decide which way I want to go and I don't want to make a last minute hasty decision.
