I would check to see what year had the best transmission in it.

I went to outboard oil when they came out with 15 PPM and have not ran her with out it. I am still running the same fuel pump that came on her.

Well we went to AZ this winter and ran the mountins and did some hard driving. So here is whit I ended up with when I got back to IN. 10.3 miles per gal for 6 month on the road. YES it got in my pocket HARD but we had a good time.Weight of rig was 23.000+speed was from 55 to 80 most was around 62-65 had some bad wind on the way home 15 to 40MPH crose wind from the SE for 145 miles stop for two days for the wind it was still blowing 9 to 18 crose winds for 200+ miles thes winds was from the SE making it jest about a head wind.

I an pulling a 38 foot fifth wheel when fully loaded I run 23.000LB + we went to TX last winter and stayed there all winter are round trip for all the mileage was 14.1. When we left home the mileage from ruining around here was 21.8 when we left TX from ruining empty all winter the mileage was 21.1. I do not run over 62mp and do not run in wind or rain.I run 1oz of out board oil per gal and the sumer mix of Howes Diesel Treat. I have used the out board oil from the day I had to go to the 15 ppm fuel I an still ruining the stock fuel pump I also run the Valvoline P B classic oil. I have only 3 changes of that oil left. --- Update to the previous post... I an runing the fractory. I cut a hole in the botton and put a comoid fitting and avolant down pipe on it. But a good flex hose would be better and not near as much.

I change the oil at 8.000 miles - air - fuel.

I have the pillar and wish I had gone with the dash mounting. The dash is a lot easer to watch driving. They set in frunt of you so you don't take your eyes off the road like the piller mount.

You might try cleaning the ground to the body .

Check your belt ! If is has some cracks you should replace it. DO NOT put belt dressing on it. == good luck ==

I buy all my filters at www.genosgarage.com. Thay have a lot of goodies and parts . from 1 to 10 I will give them a big 10

I change it at 8000 miles. I change my air filter oil filter and fuel filter. then at 25000 change all rear ends transfure case transmission oil. I am keeping this truck for a longe time so I think that it should be in good shape 10 years from now.
