Many of us run larger tires on our trucks. The speedometer is calibrated to be accurate with the OEM tires. Many tire manufactures list the exact dimensions, weight, and revolutions per mile. It would be helpful/of interest if the correction math for distance, speed, and altered gear ratio were available. This would be helpful in figuring exact miles per gallon. Any of you mathematical folks interested in providing a step by step lesson?

Have done this also on my '02 . . . . carefully take the switch apart and clean the contacts. The last time this was done, I used a couple layers of paper towel wet'd down with brake cleaner. It takes about 10 minutes from start of job to finish. Easy job.

Your truck came with 16" rims . . . run a 285 x 75R-16 The rims have the proper offset, etc. to give you decent wear on the front end/steering components. 20" rims are a little 'yupp-ish' . . . but, I'm another old guy.

Old school here . . . . .300 Winchester / Model 70 / 24" bbl. 180g NP Protected Point. IMR4831 / 72.5g Mag primers in Hornady cases. Good load, maybe not the fastest, groups tight in both my Model 70's . . .

The grease only goes to the quadrant with the least resistance . . . leaving the other three dry. Have always got better service from a quality sealed unit. Other folks have other experiences . . .

Wouldn't you like to 'tweak' your Dodge a little bit ? How about a re-badge to FARGO ? Pop the hood to show the folks . . . . 3126B Caterpillar ! Tell them it was a rare 'FX' model. Only a few were made . . . Have some fun ! Have nice headlights too

Just curious . . . Wondering why the fascination with 17 - 18 - 20" plus wheels ? The OEM 16" seem to work well . . .

How many folks have had an engine failure due to pre-filling their oil filters with the 'dirty' new oil ?

Not familiar with the switch . . . The dimmer feature wasn't / hasn't been used since I've owned this truck. Will pull the switch and replace it. Thank you for the replies.

On a 500 mile trip .... driving with headlights on. Dash lights slowly faded away. Next day, dash lights came on with the head lights . . not quite as bright, but they worked. Any ideas ?

Have looked for the specifications of the OEM alloy 16 x 8 ..... ? Not much luck. The Pacer 162M-6882 alloy wheel: These wheels are also marketed as 'Ultra Wheel Company' and 'American Racing wheels' .... ? 8 stud on 6.5" / 165.1mm Hub bore: 130.18mm Offset: -06mm Backspacing: 4.22in. Am looking for exact - very close specifications to the OEM alloys .... Sure like the way the manufacturers mix metric and standard measurements ..... Your input is much appreciated ..... thank you!
